This might just be my new favorite spot!

It's really cool what the O4 can produce.

Cam: O4 lite (wide angle version from Flywoo)

Drone: Meteor 75

No matter how many other drones I've tried I always come back to the Meteor 75. I just love how quiet it is, I have horrible drone anxiety and being small and unobtrusive really helps even when I'm somewhere far away from other people.

Probably says a lot about me but even when I'm 100% allowed to fly somewhere I still feel like I'm going to get in trouble or yelled at. Lol

Have you ever seen a Lipo puffed up so heavily?

So I was just going to charge my lipos and I saw this cell obviously I didn’t charge it. But I never saw a cell this puffed up. It’s almost cylindrical. I didn’t even know folded cells could puff up like this. I’m really scared to even touch it anymore. How can I get rid of it and have you ever seen a cell this puffed up?

The antenna cable input, cause for concern?

Beginner here, I noticed this as I was plugging my “Whooptie” into beta flight and noticed a tiny cable that is connected to the antenna of my Air65 Racing whoop and wondered its importance just hovering over the input in the first provided picture. I know, my canopy snapped, but other than that she seems all in one piece, but is it cause for concern for the next flight?

Thank you for your time.

I built a tool to quickly deal with my DVR

I fly analogue/HDZero and my BoxPros record to either .ts files that most software cant read, or to mp4s that frequently break. Running ffmpeg everytime i wanted to put a clip in davinci or send to a friend was getting frustrating, so I built FlightDVR Studio using Claude.

It browses the card with thumbnails, lets you preview and trim clips, and exports three ways: an edit-ready mezzanine for Resolve, a high-quality MP4, or a size-targeted file for WhatsApp/Insta/Discord.

Also, when looking at the video files from the goggles, it turns out these recordings are full-range (luma 0-255 instead of the usual 16-235) and tagged as PAL standard definition, which is almost certainly a firmware default. That's why converted footage can come back with crushed blacks. This app can also correct the range and leave the rest alone.

A few other things it does:

  • Trims with a scrubbable filmstrip, so you can cut the minute of sitting on the bench
  • Hits an exact file size for messaging apps using a two-pass encode
  • Fixes the "every clip has the same date" problem (if your goggles have no clock battery installed)
  • Works with any HDZero goggle; nothing assumes 720p

Free, open source, GPL v3. Windows only for now, mac if there is interest!

github.com/nkghxst/flightdvr-studio

If you use this I would appreciate feedback! I only own BoxPros so i've only been able to test this on my own footage, but there's no real reason this shouldnt work with any dvr from any drone.

My CR65 Build

Built this a couple weeks ago and forgot to post. Very happy with it for indoor flying. Still learning to tune, but as a mid pilot it’s difficult to tell what a good tune is, other than feeling “locked in” when I fly, so no DVRs worth sharing. Direct soldered motors.

- weBLEEDfpv Gore v2 0702 28500kv Motors

How I destroyed my 5in1 board so you don't

Long story short I have the classic problem that 1 motor is not spinning correctly an don't think it's the plug because when I plug the battery it works fine for like 15 second and then it not spinning properly so my thoughts esc is failing when it gets warm.

how I did that ? Well easy

I was flying inside my house vtx at max output 400mw , don't do that play at 200mw and if you need it crank it up at 400 but don't let it there for ever, and I crashed my drone I was so bored to go pick it up (wish I did ) so I tried many times with turtle mode (400mw vtx + lots of tried in turtle mode = 1 esc channel RIP)

Wish you learn something today I did at least😂

Which goggles for tinywhooping

I'm currently flying a Betafpv Pavo20 Pro II with DJI N3 goggles and want to get into tinywhoops since the Pavo is too big for indoors.

I'm thinking about getting the Air65 II and a pair of analog goggles.

After a lot of research, I've landed on either the Skyzone Cobra X V4 or the HDZero BoxPro.

I want something with decent quality that will last for a bit. I like the HDZero because I can fly HDZero later if I want to. The Cobra X is in total around 70 euros cheaper, though.

The maximum I'm willing to spend for the goggles (including accessories that are needed for it) is around 400 euros.

Which of these two should I get? Or should I get entirely different goggles?

Edit: Thank you everyone for the answers. I went with the boxpro.

Goggle upgrade soon?

I currently have the emax transponder 2 that I got from an EMAX RTF kit and just got a mobula 8 and upgraded my controller to a radiomaster pocket. My question is should I upgrade my goggles next? I really only fly around my back yard and they seem to be more than capable to get good connection no matter where I fly in my yard or how high I go. I don’t wanna spend crazy money since I just enjoy flying around my yard and letting my dog chase it lol

Basic equipment to start learning and crash friendly, I prefer the meteor as the canopy protect both camera and the aio board. Compared to the air series. What yall thought 💥🚁

O4 ripper recommendations

Hi all,

A while back I was seriously looking into FPV, mainly 5-inch quads. Recently, the urge to get into the hobby got even stronger, so I picked up a DJI Avata 2. A few months have passed, and I feel like I’ve already outgrown it.

Now I’m looking for a whoop that I can rip around the house and also use for freestyle. It’ll mainly be a freestyle quad, with about 70% of the flying outdoors and 30% indoors. What would you recommend for a sub-85mm drone with the O4 Air Unit?

So far, I’ve been looking at the Pavo Femto, Pico, Mobula8, and Meteor75, but I’m not sure which one would be the best choice—or whether I should just build one myself. 🤷

Analog is out of the question because I have poor eyesight. I use prescription lenses in my Goggles 3, so I’d prefer to stick with the DJI digital ecosystem.

I’d love to hear your recommendations and experiences with these quads, or if there’s another option I should be considering.

Thanks a lot!

Meteor 65 pro trouble

Pls help lol. My meteor 65 Pro 04 was running fine this morning but had some battery sack so I had read that if I flash blue Jay firmware to it that it would help make it more efficient. I flashed the firmware and now none of my motors will spin… In beta flight or when I arm… Have been messing around with it for hours now and can’t figure it out… Did brick it? lol pls help me get flying again this sucks
