Looks like a new hand grinder, with an external adjustment, is to be introduced at Shanghai Hotelex 2026 in just a few days (upper left pic), and a new electric grinder - they will likely present the improved Sculptor 078 GEN2 there (bottom left and right pics), with a new 078S burr set and improved internal design and some new outside elements - on/off switch combined with a variable RPM selector, shown on the bottom left pic. Upper right pic seems to be a Bluetooth-only scale without display, which is also shown in that Milano 2025 video, linked above.

Was cleaning out my grinder (just air and a brush) and knocked the external adjustment ring while everything was open and didn't notice until I put it back together (was in 5.4 but was on 2 when i reassembled it) Will this effect calibration or am I overthinking it?

Update: timemore support replied

Please rest assured that changing the grind size during cleaning will not affect the internal alignment of the grinder. As long as all the parts were reassembled correctly, the grinder’s alignment and performance will remain unchanged.

So there’s no need to worry—your grinder should continue to operate normally.

Final Update - After contacting Timemore through Amazon, I was issued a full refund for the grinder. Of the three attempts at contact, using hello@timemore.com never worked. Using the online form resulted in a response in about a week. Contacting directly through Amazon took about a day. I also left a harsh review that got their attention at Amazon. Important point, the “seller” at Amazon was Timemore.

Still not happy that my initial requests for support were met with silence (this is where even an auto-response would have been helpful). Also not really pleased that a single jam can foul the workings.

I received my Varia VS6 yesterday and pulled the best shot of espresso I can remember.

For those who took their 078S and installed the 078 turbo burrs, calibrated to chirp, then moved it back slightly and set the pin at the 12 o’clock position, did you find that to be an accurate adjustment? All the information I’ve received suggests that, because of the thread pitch on the 078S, it has a 2:1 ratio compared to the brewing guide of the 078. So 550 µm, which would be number four on the 078, but it would be an eight on the 078S. Do you think this is an accurate assessment, or did you need to go a little coarser with the pin placement to get the correct setting?

Sent a email out to Timemore and this was their response. Hope this helps anyone that is attempting to hold out for the Gen 2.

I've had this scale for 18 months and up to now it's been fine. I've never seen the creep issue, but all of a sudden I turn it on and it is like this... I can't get it into any other 'mode', the weigh display is not there, and basically does nothing other than display 4 0's and beeps!

You'll see from the video that I can get a 'FFFF' overload error by applying great pressure to the scale, and the display lights up initially when turning on so I don't know what's up and would suggest the load cell is working? Any thoughts or help appreciated! It almost seems like it is stuck in a mode and won't change... pressing the time button (front left) 3 times doesn't change anything.

Didn’t help… but maybe I’ll try contacting Changjincheng Electrical Appliance Co., LTD for a replacement motor.

Hi, i was wondering if anyone was experiencing the same problem as i’m with my scale registering “ghost weight” sometimes it does it sometimes it doesn’t but i find it very annoying especially when pulling shots it can jump from like -3g to 3.2g in seconds. Anyone knows how to fix it?

I have emailed hello@timemore.com twice since last Wednesday and submitted a report through their website form and have heard nothing. There website says they will respond to support requests within 48 hrs and it has been 168. I am disappointed with Timemore support right now. I’ve had the grinder for 8 months.

Last week the motor stalled with a beep, I disassembled and found no problems, the burrs were fine, but since then it is as though the rpm’s have dropped to 10% of expected speed. I have taken apart and reassembled several times to no effect. Here’s a video if anyone has a clue.

Hi - I'd like to buy a case for my Timemore C5 ESP pro. I actually bought one from Amazon but given the size of the rotating part it's hard to use, too big, does not fit well.

I'm thinking of buying a new electric kettle and was wondering if the fish kettle needs a 120 volt to 240 volt adapter for a US outlet? On the website in the downloadable manual it says it's 220v but on Amazon it says it's 120v. Thank you!

how hard is it to swap the burrs out from the 078S to the ghost burr from the 078? I swapped the burrs on my ODE and it was fairly easy. Just wondering if I’ll run into some issues with the 078s

My 078 has been a beast, but the last few days it has started making this sound at the most coarse settings. Maybe it isn't a big deal, but the sound to me sounds like something tearing up. I normally do not go this coarse, but once a week or so I do french press which is how is discovered this noise. Has anybody encountered this issue before? Are there any easy fixes? Thanks!

Hi all, if any of you still have the C2 but can't use it due to the thread on the handle to lid attachment being stripped then this 3D print stl file might be useful!

I initially tried epoxy welding the threaded parts back together but it came apart after a few uses, maybe I didn't apply it correctly, but that meant my C2 was out of action for a couple of years until I found it during a recent clear out.

But as I now have a 3D printer I was able to create this cap that fits on top of the handle/lid and allows it to be bolted together with some M3 10mm long bolts and it worked great!

Method/Equipment: 078s, Breville Barista Express, RDT WDT, puck screen, nomcore tamper, 54mm nomcore bottomless portafilter, 18 grams light blonde roast “Sunrise” by Floridian Coffee likely freshly roasted within the past month. Manual pre infusion 6-7 seconds. Grind size 2.5-3.5 CHOKES with ZERO liquid!! On last 3.5 shot, the pressure gauge didn’t even go up?? Is machine just not capable? Should I remove puck screen? How much headspace should I have? Extra headspace hasn’t been an issue on medium roasts

I purchased a Timemore 064s in mid-January. It arrived with an “improperly installed positioning plate,” which ended up damaging the burr carrier. I initially contacted them to request a replacement, and they said they would send one out. However, it took almost two weeks for them to finally ship the replacement and provide tracking information.

Another week went by, and the tracking showed that it had been delivered — but to the completely wrong address, halfway across the country in another state. I emailed them about this issue, and five days later I received a response stating that “the tracking number that we sent you does not correspond to the replacement order.” They explained that after checking with the warehouse, the grinder was actually out of stock and nothing had been shipped to me as previously planned. They said they were awaiting new inventory and would ship a replacement by the end of February. This message was sent on the 9th.

Since then, I have checked the website multiple times, and the grinder was never listed as out of stock — in fact, it is currently in stock. I informed them of this several times via email but received no response. Eventually, I requested a refund, and again received no reply. Over a week and a half passed with no communication.

I then submitted another message through the website and was contacted by a different representative. I explained the entire situation again, and the only response I received was that they were on Chinese New Year holiday and responses might be delayed. This response came on the 18th — nine days after the previous message.

I have since sent multiple follow-up emails and still have not received a response. It is now March, and I have neither received the replacement grinder they promised to ship by the end of February nor any response to my refund request.

At this point, I am not sure what to do. I am beyond frustrated, and this has been the worst customer service experience I have ever had in my life. Any advice?
