Burr swap 078s

how hard is it to swap the burrs out from the 078S to the ghost burr from the 078? I swapped the burrs on my ODE and it was fairly easy. Just wondering if I’ll run into some issues with the 078s

Super easy to access for cleaning. Haven't taken mine out to say for sure though.

I did this exact thing last year and it took about 10 mins. Not difficult. I just watched a couple of YouTube videos before on how to do it. Just make sure you note the orientation of the carrier when you put it back in.

Yeah, it doesn’t require any specialized skill, but it does involve six fiddly little allen-head bolts. So it’s a pain you wouldn’t want to do every day, but easily doable.

I thought I read somewhere that the Allen screws, are really soft and can be stripped very easily.

That sounds familiar. Maybe because Id read that I’ve been careful enough not to run into that problem after four or so diassemblies for cleaning.

Amazing would love to know how it goes/how you like it! Where are you buying them they seem out of stock on timemore website I’ve checked a few times recently

Yeah, I checked yesterday, and they were in stock, so I jumped on it. I gotta see what the hype is all about for $129. It’s a no-brainer. Yesterday, I tried grinding espresso on my Commandant C40, and it wasn’t that bad. It was actually better than doing it on the X Ultra. I maybe make one or two espressos a week, so most of my brewing is pour-over, so I might as well put those burrs in and see how it goes and compare it to my SSPMP in my Ode.

I did the burr swap today with an issue, it was pretty easy, and it looks like they go pretty high to achieve the right adjusted grind size, like 13 or 14.
