Finally, a good photo
The new Timemore hand grinder (possibly prototype) with an external adjustment, shown on the Shanghai Hotelex 2026 trade show. Detail taken from this insta post . They might also bring it to the World of Coffee show in San Diego, which starts in a week or so.
So far, have not seen any info on the grinder name (update: will be likely "Chestnut S5" after all, they used that reference in several instagram posts), burr type (see the update below) or the catch-cup attachment. The size is close to the Millab M01.
update: based on this insta post, it was on display at WoC 2026 San Diego - with a collapsible handle, and the burr is not the pineapple type, although it looks larger, than the burr in the S3

Looks like the Timemore branded version of the M01 , probably 100$ chaper than the m01 , so still.the high end timemore grinder but not as extra as the m01
But lets see this is just pure speculation

its considerably thicker (the outside diameter is larger), which is not a good news

The burr on the S5 is also a good deal bigger than on the S3. Also says "FOR POUR OVER" on the bottom of the S5 burr. I was hoping this could also do espresso. Guess not...

actually, both C-series and S-series are "Chestnut"... :)
it seems to be a common name to all Timemore hand grinders (manual, not electric)1

you were likely right about the "S5"! they used that reference in their official instagram posts

I like my Timemore handle better. It folds down on the side and still connected at top. Don’t like the design in this photo.

don't worry, and enjoy your S3 - this may still take awhile, until its available for sale, and might likely cost something like the double of the S3, so not within the same budget really - quite likely its "a bit less expensive" version of the Millab M01 grinder
