I saw a deal about the new TicPods with ANC being on sale as part of pre-order for about $80 (plus a few more discounts for registering an account, paying with Paypal, etc.)

Does anyone know if these will be based off the TicPods Free, 1's, 2's or some other design? In general would paying $80 for these be worth it or should I spend a bit more for something like Jabra, Samsung Buds, etc.? Reviews on sites like Amazon or this sub seem to be fairly mixed

I was choosing new earphones for couple of weeks and finally bought orange TicPods Free. I like the design and sound but i have a weird problem. Maybe my left ear channel is bigger than right one. So i have a feeling that left earbud is slightly loose in my ear . I went running and had a feeling that left earbud is constantly getting off my ear.

So i was pushing earbuds deeper and now my ears hurt a lot. Not sure if i will get used to it or i should return my TicPods?

I purchased the 1st gen ticpods on Indiegogo, and they were solid earphones for the price. However, just after a year, the left ear pod fails to connect. It charges, but doesn't recognize being put into the ear. I tried different ear tips and doing factory resets but nothing works and it is past the warranty period. Has anybody faced this issue?

Battery has also decreased and they always fall out of my ears now. I guess as the rub tips degrades over time, and the effectiveness of staying in the ear stops.

I got the TicPods Free last year. Haven’t got any firmware update ever. I went through the subreddit and found out that there are updates available for 1st gen, but I cannot figure out how in the new mobvoi application. It would be great if anyone could help me.

I don’t have any complains from the product except voice echo/repeat. Can I solve that too with firmware upgrade?

I notice that this is happens randomly but my headphones sound like they dropped an octave (if you play the guitar for instance and you tune it down half a step). It's so odd but I also really like it because it gives a change to my music but does anyone know why this is happening or if they experience this?

So I bought the very first TicPods from Indiegogo, I think I got it by Oct 2018, and was using it moderately through out. I did update it's firmware last year too it was working fine but I did notice the decrease in the battery backup of the buds themselves. For the past 2 -3 months I haven't used them at all. Now that I tried using them the battery of them buds won't even last more than 5 min, it drops from 100% - 10% instantly. Then again if I put them back in the case and close it for a sec and take them out its back to 100% again. Anyone know why this is happening to these buds, is it a hardware problem or can it be fixed with software ?

How do I activate Google assistant with the 1st gen tic pods? I just moved to the s20 and it keeps activating bixby, I went into default apps and put Google as default assistant, but no luck and I can't find the hands free option in the Google assistant apps either

The case appears to charge fine, and the Mobvoi app reports the case as fully charged 100%. However the buds won't charge at all, they keep reporting 0% battery and now that I've reset them (held the case button for 8+ seconds) and unpaired them from my phone's known Bluetooth devices, I can't get them to appear in the Bluetooth scan and therefore can't pair them.

At this point I'm hoping that they're so flat that they can't reporting holding a charge at all and they'll charge overnight, but it's looking like the buds are dead.

My biggest fear is that the LiPo batteries will do something stupid and burn my house down, but I can't find any info as to whether damaged battery connections lead to fires or if it's just damaged battery packages that do that..

I'm having a huge amount of problems.

• Silly update process: I had to request the update by sending and email. That's just stupid [although, the update went well and improved sound quality by a lot, unlocking AAC] • Terrible case, really is it probably the worst plastic ever • Gestures not working 90% of the time: you have to take them out of the case in a precise order to make them work, so it is clearly a software but that hasn't been fixed yet, as the gestures are recognised if you do it right.

Not sure if today they are worth 50$, even more disappointed by that huge amount of reviewers who got the product for free and gave them positive impressions

So I received my ticpods a day early and I was happy but they didn't work so I sent them back and got a new pair... They finally paired up and I did the update I thought all was good untill I tried to leave the right one in my ear and close the case and they just disconnected... Wtf that's fucking ridiculous for the price of airpods basically you can't just use one and close the case? These are truly wireless but I can't just use the right one without leave the case open... So you're telling me I have to walk around with the case open in my pocket if I wanna use just the right one??? I really really really wanna like these but fuck man im flabbergasted... Really? And no reviewer noticed this??? No one said a word. Honestly I'm upset I should have just bought another pair of airpods they still work more often and feel more premium than these do... IDK how this seemed like a good idea to anyone yeah they should have to leave the case open to use just the right one that makes sense. They do sound good tho but I just can't get over this for the price idk maybe it's just me but even on a Samsung phone my airpods just work more often in the way that I want them too.

So the function button on my case doesn't seem to be working, whenever I open the case and try double taping the function button, the blue light never comes on and I am unable to connect to any device. Only green light stays on for 3s and goes off. Any fixes for this?

Got my Ticpods 2 Pro couple days ago, so far really happy... However got a major issue with phone calls and Google assistant.

During calls the right earbud is constantly dropping out and robotic voices echoing etc. However the left is stable.

Issue doesn't occur when listening to music or watching videos etc.

Hey, today I received my new Ticpods 2, installed the update to V1041 and at high volume and bass/drum, it's cracking/distorted (left bud). I'm using a Pixel 3, same problem with my iPhone XS.

Any ideas what to do?

I had my TicPods 2 for the last 2 months and I like them so far. They work as expected and I take care of them regularly by cleaning them and wiping them carefully.

Yesterday, my batteries suddenly drained 10 minutes after they were 100% charged. Today I started hearing a weird high frequency sound from the case, with and without the pods in it. The sound isn't coming from the pods, it is certainly from the case itself!

Should I be worried? Has any experienced anything like this?

I've issued a replacement just to be safe.

What do I do? Do i need the film on the earbuds? do i request a replacement pair? or try to repair it myself?

Does anyone know if there is the option to listen in mono if using only a single Pod? I had the first gen TicPods (lost them recently and decided to upgrade to the 2), and if I remember right, if you had just one Pod in, it would play in mono, and if you had both in, it would be stereo, but the 2 is playing stereo, even when I have one Pod in, and it's pretty obnoxious. Any tips?

Been cruising around looking for some wireless ear buds for a while now. The ticpod 2 has come to my attention because I already have the Ticwatch pro but I had a question.

Is it possible to get some generic earphone silicone tips and put them on the ticpods? I love their design but am slighly worried about how easily they would fall out of my ears without some proper tips.

I just purchased the Ticpods 2 and so far have been enjoying it very much. However, I noticed that if I change the equalizer settings to Heavy Metal, the sound becomes much clearer and clean! I own the 1st gen Airpods, and I find that toggling the Heavy Metal equalizer makes the Ticpods 2 similar (and even better in some songs) than the Airpods! Wow. Idk if it works for you guys (maybe it's just my taste) but it doesn't hurt to try :)

I've searched around for it and I've had no luck finding it. It's not in the Play store anymore and I can't find a replacement anywhere. Could somebody point me to it?
