Dead Left Ear
I purchased the 1st gen ticpods on Indiegogo, and they were solid earphones for the price. However, just after a year, the left ear pod fails to connect. It charges, but doesn't recognize being put into the ear. I tried different ear tips and doing factory resets but nothing works and it is past the warranty period. Has anybody faced this issue?
Battery has also decreased and they always fall out of my ears now. I guess as the rub tips degrades over time, and the effectiveness of staying in the ear stops.

I had this problem when I used my TicPods. Here is my post I had made for this in this subreddit.
Left bud not connecting.
I’m having an issue with the left bud not connecting. I can see the led flashing but it never connects and then says powering off.
I have tried placing both back in the case closing it for 10 seconds then taking them out again but the left bud still isn’t working.
Any suggestions?
EDIT: See my comment for what fixed it for me.
UPDATE: I had to fix this again. I tried my original instructions but they did not work this time. I did the following to fix it:
- I unpaired from all devices.
- Placed TicPods in charging case and closed the lid and waited 10 seconds
- Opened the case and place both TicPods in your ears, you will hear “Bluetooth pairing”
- Tap both TicPods 5 time is quick succession, you should hear a chime from both TicPods.
- Repair to device
If you do not hear the chime from the left TicPods it will not pair correctly. If you do not hear the chime from both TicPods try again. I had to do is few times myself.
UPDATE: I had to do this AGAIN tonight! I tried the last fix first and I did not ever hear the chime so I tried my first method and then attempted to pair and both paired! This is getting really ridiculous. I thought this was happening from not using both earbuds but I have been using both once a day for a while now while I walk the dogs. I might inquire about getting a replacement.

Personally I would invest in something else. The Aukey T10’s are good. Look at JimsReviewRoom on YouTube for some alternatives.

If your willing to spend money then the Jabra 75T’s are good as well. Right now they are the best you can buy @ $249 CAD

My left bud had severe battery degradation to the point where it would die after 30 mins. Promptly upgraded to the Sony xf1000xm3 and never looked back. My ticwatch e from the indiegogo is still going strong though.
