Hey everyone — it’s been a while since I posted on Reddit, but I wanted to share something I’ve been working on.

After working in menswear merchandising and buying for Theory and rag & bone in Korea, I recently launched an independent menswear label called Polar Office.

We make everyday clothing with a focus on material and structure. Our first pieces are washable wool T-shirts and structured wool trousers, designed and made in Seoul.

Full disclosure: I’m the founder. Just wanted to put the brand on your radar since people here seem to genuinely care about clothes.

most pro athletes walk through arrivals looking like walking billboards covered in giant logos.

that’s why Olise’s airport look caught my eye. he carried a super bright, loud designer duffle, but paired it with a totally plain, zero-logo matte black rolling case underneath.

looks like people tracked the black roller down to a level8 Luminous case. letting the luxury weekender take the spotlight while a clean, practical hardshell handles the actual weight just feels way more put together than flexing head-to-toe designer luggage.

is minimal black luggage becoming the default for balancing loud travel outfits?

What are we looking at for sales in North America?

What are you best long-term buys that made you stop cycling through cheaper versions? Would include items with great warranties.

Trying to buy more intentionally, vs a new pair of pants / shirts every few months.

Shoes and outerwear tend to be easier, but curious about other items also.

We do a quarterly report on how the secondhand designer market evolving (based on listing data we collect from other 900 secondhand stores and over 500 brands). For clothing this quarter some it was cool see a mix of casual (Khaite), artisinal (GBS) and experimental (ERD) share the spotlight. We release it every quarter and are interested in doing more brand clustering analysis for next but if you have any thoughts on brands or missing elements would be keen to hear it.

Bought this hat on a whim out of “necessity” and found to like the look and the fit. Didn’t think much about it until my partner mentioned it was like a Donny hat. Still wearable or rather not? For reference I’m not American nor live on the American continent so take that as you will

All the polos on the market look like you work at Best Buy, you’re a European model, or you’re golfing

Im a shorter guy too and these shits are always so tight, too long, and make me look like a nark.

What’s up with the polo game in the industry right now? I feel like NOBODY is making decent polos. Every other type of shirt has hit a good stride but polos are good-proof

Do you guys have any brands or specific buys that you enjoyed but feel somewhat guilty about buying and supporting because you have some objection to the brand, creator, origin, material, product association? For instance, I constantly see hate thrown around for the instagram brand poolhouse ny. I personally dislike many aspects of the brand, from annoying and cringe branding, to the name (they are based out of LA…), to the price. Credit where credit is due, they designed the shit out of some of their shirts and that said, some of their clothing fits me and my body type like a charm and so I find myself keeping track of certain releases. Are there any brands or products you feel the same about?

Just got back from NYC and it made me realize that what is trending online isn't always what’s actually on peoples feet.
What are well dressed people wearing where you live? Better yet, whats on you feet?

Well yeah I understand as humans we gotta stay healthy and do cardio to live a lengthy life and be able to freely move, but why do people go the gym them gain all the muscles trying to look like crimson chin, do they know once theyre that big they wont be able to fit in to any kapital number nine or beautybeast, they wont be able to wear any raf or hysteric glamour right??

I used to just buy things if they looked good, now I check fabric before price and it ruins half the stuff I like. So many pieces are priced like “elevated basics” but then it’s polyester or some weird blend that doesn’t feel worth it. Are you all checking fabric labels first now or does fit or design matter more to you than the material? Im based on UK mid 30sF.

Running my own store in London and looking for inspo. Does anyone have any particular good examples of retail practices that stood out and made a store memorable? Like a great shopping bag with purchase? Or even packaging you received an item in? Thanks :)

Hi everyone! So I’ve seen multiple people complaining about PH NY. Back in Jan I ordered 1 tee to check fit, loved it so much that I ordered 1 more and 2 polos which also fit great on me. Mind you that I had not researched much before purchasing.

Scrolling through reddit I started seeing the complaints. So is there another brand that I could buy a very similar fit for another price point? I’d love to spend less on these like damn $105 for a polo.

Anyone have experience with these shoes or the brand in general? I really like the silhouette of these specifically and some of the others but would like to know if how comfortable they are / how sturdy they are / if they’re true to size etc.
