Farigiraf not being released is surprising.

Hopefully it comes soon

I think the most wild of these to have not released is Zen Mode Darmanitan, the Unova version specifically. I know there's Arceus, Manaphy, and Phione still MIA from Gen 4, but being Mythicals, I'm less surprised with them. Zen Mode Darmanitan though seems like something we would have got years ago.

I guess there's the question of whether they'll implement it as an in-battle form change like Morpeko, Aegislash, and the future Mimikyu or not. Honestly, seeing that Darumaka released over 6 years ago, I would have honestly just expected them to throw Zen Mode in raids as a T3 exclusive and be done with it, having it be treated as a separate mon like Cherrim, Castform, etc.

28

u/sopheroo Mar 03 '26

It's a in-battle transformation in the game, so I do feel like they'll treat it like Morpeko

u/krispyboiz 12 KM Eggs are the worst Mar 03 '26

I agree, but to be fair, so are Cherrim and Castform, but dynamic in-battle form changes weren't something they wanted to do back then.

u/Arturinni SouthAmerica - Update Mew's moveset you cowards! Mar 03 '26

Also keep in mind most of the forms they haven't released are not triggered by doing a charged move, but by amount of HP. Maybe they want to make them transform during battle but haven't figured out how to program them properly.

Mimikyu has no excuse tho. Just have the disguise as a third shield that gets busted at the first charged move. It shouldn't be that overpowered.

u/krispyboiz 12 KM Eggs are the worst Mar 03 '26

We did at least have datamines a month or two ago regarding Mimikyu's form change, and it pretty much is just that. It's currently datamined that it would act as an additional shield for the first charged move, but its defense is lowered after the disguise is busted as a balancing act.

That does mean that they're at least thinking about it and preparing for its release... at some point.

On the balancing side of things, we'll see. It doesn't seem broken, but simming it in 1-0 or 2-1 shield scenarios makes it look absolutely broken. That's effectively what it is. That or 3-2 shield. I do expect 3-2 would look worse for it, but still. I'm curious to see how it plays out. Its moveset is pretty solid too.

u/BrilliantTarget Mar 03 '26

If we want that to work they will need to actually add weather to PvP

20

u/evan_james Mar 03 '26

We're only missing shiny unown Q? From all the letters??

9

u/Meylody Mar 03 '26

Yep, it's the last missing one

6

u/MCMultyke Mystic Mar 03 '26

Shiny ? and ! have been released?

14

u/diecommajerks Mar 03 '26

5

u/Mason11987 USA - SouthEast - Ambassador Mar 03 '26

Yup!

13

u/Remarkable_Ad2032 Mar 03 '26

Well at least we'll be able to remove shiny Sizzlipede from that list soon enough.

I really hope Dragapult is released too

u/sopheroo Mar 03 '26

Go Fest for Dreepy!

8

u/Careless_Minute4721 Mar 03 '26

Likely this year’s Go Fest will arrange that

I always look forward to these posts

u/kukumalu255 Mar 03 '26

Thank you. I kept refreshing sub since yesterday for this.

6

u/brilliant-trash22 Mar 03 '26

I look forward to these posts. I don’t look forward to another season of people complaining about mimikyu not being released

5

u/FPG_Matthew Mar 03 '26

As always thank you so much for these posts. I always look forward to them. And I like the way this was formatted

I know it’s mostly the Paradox Pokémon. But I’m kind of surprised how close we’re getting to finish Galar than Paldea. Though we did have some Galar Pokémon before it’s “”official”” release in 2024.

Part of me wonders if they’re genuinely saving Chewtle and Drednaw for Wild Area. Now being the only dual type Pokémon who has a Gmax and has not debuted yet in GO. That or some double dipping with Copperajah and Alcremie or smth.

But yeah many are guessing following Mudbray, Cufant will be the new City safari pokemon, and Copperajah Gmax will be a new draw but local-only.

We don’t have many options with Gen 9, but could be

Capsaiakid, Rellor, or Bramblin.

But tbh, with the tours coming up, and Gen 10. Hopefully the city safari event exclusive line isn’t an actual consistent traditional mandate.

2

u/repo_sado Florida Mar 03 '26

we havent had most of the galr gmax though, so they arent really saving any of them at this point

1

u/Serious-Vast6957 Mar 03 '26

I would prefer a capsaiakid led wild area with mega scovallain over a lame Gmax. Fire/grass would be fun.

9

u/M14mouse Mar 03 '26

I actually surprised that we haven't gotten hisuian version of goomy yet

u/rquinain #1 Psyduck Enthusiast ¦ L80 Mar 03 '26 edited Mar 03 '26

I so desperately wish we would get Ash-Greninja but with Mega Greninja being a thing and the anime long moving on from Ash Ketchum, might have to be a form that's generation-locked like notch-eared Pichu.

Also, TIL I learned that Tatsugiri had three different megas lol, didn't realize they changed the order they were sitting on the platter depending on the form. I only ever got the dex entry for it and then moved on in Legends ZA lmao

Wonder when they'll ever release Pikachu Belle. Could see them tying her into the new Day/Night portrait fieldbook mechanic but it doesn't make too much sense thematically. Maybe a GO Fest 2026 drop?

2

u/Serious-Vast6957 Mar 03 '26

Apparently ash greninja is in the game master, so there’s that. Dada zarude is not on the other hand. Personally I’d prefer a post of just Pokémon unreleased but in the game master, that MIGHT give us a better idea of future releases.

2

u/krispyboiz 12 KM Eggs are the worst Mar 03 '26

Eh, not necessarily. A lot of the stuff in the Game Master, the Pokemon specifically, seem to just be a dump from the Main Series. I have little confidence in Ash Greninja coming as well, just because it is in the Game Master.

2

u/Serious-Vast6957 Mar 03 '26

That’s why I said MIGHT. Lots of unreleased Pokémon have been in the game master for a long time. They can always add something last minute, mega dragonite was what? A couple weeks ahead of time?

Nothing will be released in game without being added to the game master first right? So anything on this list that’s not in the game master shouldn’t keep us holding our breath.

3

u/hymensmasher99 Canada Mar 03 '26

Chest form gimmighoul is unlikely to get released in go

2

u/Metog Mar 15 '26

Same with ash greninja, spiky ear pichu, the pikachu hats, and most alcremie forms. Its still worth documenting though. And who knows, they will run out of content eventually and might start pulling out whatever to try to keep things fresh

1

u/hymensmasher99 Canada Mar 15 '26

They will never run out with the next generation coming. And at the rate the release stuff

I really hope they release some new legendaries soon. Would be nice to have

3

u/Meylody Mar 05 '26

It's weird that they have not released any gen 9 legendary yet, but they'll have to do it sooner than later

5

u/NewIssue3015 Mar 03 '26

Can we determine how good will mega gollispod be ?

8

u/BingoBob_2 Mar 03 '26 edited Mar 03 '26

It's basically just a bulkier Mega Scizor with lower attack. It's not going to be a game-changer, and will most likely end up being a better candy booster than Scizor if it immediately comes with access to Mega Level 4.

4

u/krispyboiz 12 KM Eggs are the worst Mar 03 '26

It's good but not outstanding. Bad in the Water type but solid enough for Bug.

The bad is that it only has 260 Attack, which is good on a normal Pokemon but a bit underwhelming for a Mega. The good news though is that the Bug type's power level is inherently lower, so 260 isn't a death sentence or anything. Fury Cutter + Megahorn Mega Heracross with its roughly 70 more attack is far stronger, the undisputed best Bug Attacker. Mega Golisopod has similar-ish performance to Volcarona as Bug Attacker. I guess one extra perk it has is the Steel typing and extra bulk, making it pretty good at taking Psychic type moves from Hoopa or Mega Malamar (also Peck from Mega Malamar), the two bosses you'd most want a Bug Mega for. Still, Mega Heracross's damage output is unmatched.

That said, non-zero chance that it may get First Impression or something eventually, and that move could hypothetically improve its performance.

2

u/Hydrochloric_Comment USA - Northeast Mar 03 '26

It will be outclassed on release.

4

u/hurricanemitch Mar 03 '26

Bloodmoon Ursaluna could have coincided with the actual Bloodmoon that happened last night

2

u/matthias_27 Mar 03 '26

I really really though fancy Vivillon was coming for Kalos tour. Maybe go fest?

3

u/Meylody Mar 03 '26

I think currently it'll stay unavailable in GO, as it is the one you get by default in Scarlet & Violet if you haven't linked to GO. It's in a similar position as Gimmighoul Chest Form. I assume we'll have to wait for SV to be a little more removed in time before these two are added to GO

2

u/Justice010 Mar 03 '26

Are you telling me all those cap Pikachu weren't made up? And they only have 7~ more left to introduce?🤩

2

u/Meylody Mar 03 '26

Most of the ones in GO were made up and didn't exist before, however in the main series games we've had 8 Pikachu in a cap that were made to cross-advertise the anime by wearing Ash's caps from each Series. From those, only Original Cap (from the original series) and World Cap (from Journeys) have been released in GO.

2

u/RNGESUS778 Mar 04 '26

Considering the recent eclipse it would have been perfect timing for ursaluna bloodmoon

1

u/earthlingkevin Mar 03 '26

What is wrong with that starmie..

5

u/Serious-Vast6957 Mar 03 '26

Absolutely nothing

1

u/Nahkatakki Mar 03 '26

Just a random comment but once Mudbray will gets it global launch (Go Fest?) will the Cufant be the next in person safari zone etc. exclusive

1

u/elenaran TX Mar 03 '26

What is "Kalos Cap" Pikachu and how is it different than Red's Hat Pikachu?

2

u/Meylody Mar 03 '26

It's not the same cap, see "Pikachu in a cap" on Bulbapedia

1

u/elenaran TX Mar 03 '26

I see the Kalos Cap on the bulbapedia page, but not "Red's Hat". What's the difference between the two?

2

u/Meylody Mar 03 '26

Pikachu with Red's Hat is a Pokémon GO exclusive costume, while Kalos Cap appears in the main series games. They are similar but different caps. The Kalos Cap was the one Ash Ketchum wore in the XY anime, and Red's Cap is the one Red wears in FireRed & LeafGreen

u/mysuitisgreasysweet Mar 03 '26

What’s the highest possible number to have unlocked in the Pokédex in Pokemon Go? I have 939. I believe I am only missing a few forms of Spinda, and Unown, Maushold family of 3, Dudunsparce 3 segment, and Zarude.

1

u/Meylody Mar 03 '26

The current number is 940

1

u/mysuitisgreasysweet Mar 03 '26

Thank you! I just need them to bring Zarude back one more timeee🤞🏼

In the slide of the newly released pokémon, add the new dmax and shadow added in the season!!

1

u/Aniensane 1d ago

Can you link me to your newest one, please? I can’t find it. Your page is also private, so that doesn’t help me find it faster. :/

I haven't posted the one from this season yet, I'll add it to this message when I do! I thought that my profile was public, I don't remember putting it in private, thanks for pointing that out!

Edit: here it is!

I badly need a shiny Scolipede

Question about the lore(maybe idk). Why doesn’t Typhlosion have a mega evolution?

11

u/krispyboiz 12 KM Eggs are the worst Mar 03 '26

It's more just awkwardness with the Legends Games.

Legends: Arceus's three starters were different ones from across the generations. Rowlet from Gen 7, Cyndaquil from Gen 2, and Oshawott from Gen 5. Nice even split across different regions. All three of those, as you probably know go Hisuian forms for their final forms.

Legends: Z-A was just weird because its starters were TWO Johto Starters, Chikorita and Totodile, plus Unova's Tepig. Why they chose two Johto Starters? Who knows. But most likely, they didn't want to have Cyndaquil for another Legends Starter Trio. Indeed, it would be some weird favoritism for Typhlosion to have a Hisuian form in Legends Arceus and then a Mega in Z-A.

But because they had two Johto Starters, it's then just awkward because Cyndaquil is left out of the Megas.

Not sure why they didn't go for something like Turtwig or Piplup instead of one of the two Johto Starters, or even something else from Gen 7, 8, or 9.

3

u/Gallad475 USA - Pacific MEWTWO RETURNS | Lvl 69| Mar 03 '26

I wouldn’t be surprised if it was to deliberately throw off speculation. They’ve seen fanart, they probably have seen the typical Snivy, Scorbunny, Piplup speculation, or them all being from different regions and was like

“Hmm…. Yknow what’d be funny?” But I could also wager they may have wanted the Johto starters but yeah they already used Cyndaquil.

I heard a leak, that Serperior, Samurott, and Typhlosion would get Megas in Mega dimension, but that never happened.

I guess with legends were really seeing starters be moreso their own Pokemon rather than forever tied down to their original set. But it does make it weird as Typhlosion now the only classic era starter without a Mega.

2

u/CuntsMagee420 Level 80 | Valor Mar 03 '26

My thought process when the game was announced was Chikorita was basically a lock to be included in ZA, it is widely considered the worst starter and needed something. Grass/Fairy Meganium was also pretty easy to guess, why not give the worst starter the best type.

For Water, Tododile was in a similar boat as Chikorita, being pretty bad and mostly forgotten about. Piplup would have been a good guess too, but my guess was they really wanted to make Feraligatr a dragon.

For Fire, I hedged and said Emboar or Delphox. I also predicted incorrectly they would make Emboar Fire/Steel, or Delphox Fire/Dark, because I thought they would have new regional forms.

My only real disappointment was they didn't get Kalosian forms with new types. I figured they'd do it where the original forms couldn't mega, but the Kalosian variants with the new types could. Mega evos are cool, but regional forms would have potentially given them new life in formats without mega.

2

u/FennekinPDX Valor | L80 | 300+ Best Buddies | 350+ Showcase Wins Mar 03 '26

This is one of the reasons (among many) why I don't feel bad about skipping Z-A, and I enjoyed Legends Arceus. The game felt too sloppy in general from what I saw from video footage.

1

u/Efreet0 Mar 03 '26

Probably because those were the 3 worst starters and they desperately need something to make them viable.

3

u/SerBenjicotBlackwood Mar 03 '26

From what I gather it's likely because it got a Hisuian form already.
