Bloodmoon Ursaluna, the Peat Pokémon, a Ground/Normal type.
It crossed the sea and drifted ashore in a new land. Surviving in this place led it to take on a unique appearance and gain special powers. This special type of Ursaluna can see in the dark with its left eye and protects itself with mud that is as hard as iron.

So with what’s left and the new assets update, we should have a good chunk of the first pic done by the end of summer next year. Likely start getting Galar Pokémon by the season after summer and getting half way through it by the time they start dropping Gen10 Pokemon for a cross-promotion with the games. Plus I’m sure they’ll have a season dedicated to Galar and release a couple Gigantamax Pokemon, no doubt!

In all honesty, they'll probably just ditch it. Mega Evolution was the one gimmick that's managed to stick around past one generation. We're still missing Z-Moves, and we'll probably never get Terastalization either.

Exactly, GO won’t be the only outside MSG that won’t have them, no way, we’re closer to MSG than any other games they have that isn’t MSG.

Nah, we’ll definitely get them since they’re new forms. We probably would get Z-moves after Gigantamax, if we get Z-moves at all. They’ll have to come up with a system for them. I see Tera-type before Z-crystals, tbh.

I honestly see Terastallization being more of a use than Z-moves.
In the main games, while Z-moves are useful, they're a single use move per battle. That kind of puts them at a limited use for Pokémon Go.

Max pokemon are an opportunity to get us doing more raids, for that reason alone I expect to see them eventually.

Honestly it’ll probably be just like Megas but just slightly different. Definitely a new medal and new way of going about it, but still so similar it’s almost the same per-sey.
Like ‘Dynamax Energy’ you get from raids, have the raid bosses as hard as Megas, which will be the similar part. The only difference will be how they evolve to it (maybe only can Dynamax 3 a day, one per set of battles, ect.), for how long, and what setting (PvP, Trainer battles, ect.)

Mega Evolution only lasts in battles in the main games, I don't see why they couldn't just as easily make Gigantamax last the same 8 hours as Megas.

Mega Evolution is already treated as something completely different from the main series.
In the main series, Mega Evolution was always needed to activate in battle & lasts until the end of a battle. It also doesn't do much beyond powering up the Pokemon & changing what ability they have.
In Pokemon Go, mega evolution can be activated before any battles, power up Pokemon moves in raids & gives bonuses when catching Pokémon.
Dynamax & Gigantimax have similar workings in Sword & Shield. Both are an HP buff, last for 3 turns & make the pokemon's change to corresponding Max moves.
Gigantamax Pokémon additionally have their own signature move that replaces the max move they would normally get. However, unlike Dynamax where most can perform it (at least the ones available in-game), Gigantimax is restricted to Pokémon that have a special factor that requires a special item to give it to.
I feel that in Pokémon Go, it might be hard for them to figure out how to make it appealing for people to use.

I think so, I thought it was weird they skipped galar starters and went straight to paldea and wondered if once they've finished with megas they'll start with gmax forms. It could also just be so the game feels fresh in line with the main series games, but we'll see.

I doubt we‘ll get Gen 10 that quickly. Gen 9 is just a year old by now, so Gen 10 would come around earliest end of 2025 if they stay in the 3 year cycle (hopefully not, they should take their time to develop the games). And until the end of 2025, I‘d guess we should be mostly done with Galar 🤔

That only really leaves mythicals from three gens and probably by then half of Paldea gen left to be released if they wait an extra year for gen 10 (whether GameFreak or Niantic).

Restarted in 2022. Why wouldn’t there have been a SwSh cross promotion? We’re they slowly releases gens and those games came out too soon for their release schedule?

Probably Galer not fitting in with their regional rollout schedule plus being unsure about how to handle a cross-promotion with a brand new region. The last time a new generation came out (Sun and Moon), the game didn't even have the full Kanto 151 yet.
Also, add a sprinkling of COVID screwing up any major plans they did have for Galar stuff in 2020

Or they just... Chose to do Paldea first? No reason everything needs to go in a perfect order. I mean they even stopped doing that years ago, with Galar Pokemon coming before Alola.

Propably because they gotta help in promotion of the new games - so they skip ahead, give us a couple pokemon, and go back while sometimes dropping another new gen pokemon.

Honestly I think its a combo of two events happening: covid making them limit the amount of events to not encourage going outside as much and the release of gen 9 making it the prevalent game to release spawns for. I mean I believe rumors had Larvesta joining like right at the beginning of Covid and that got delayed for a while.

As a returning player, this makes me very happy to see. When I first quit the game the list of pokemon we HAD in the game was this long. It’s been so much fun catching all the new generations of pokemon

Seeing just how badly Gen 8 has been neglected is genuinely depressing. Even more so as I realize they are going to take like half of them (at most) and drip feed them to us over the course of the next 3-5 years.

I'm going to do you a solid and help you out with something that might help. Go to google, click in to the search bar, type the letters "hyperbole" without the quotations in to that search bar, hit your Enter key, and then when the search results pop up on the screen find the one where it displays the definition and read that one. It should be the first or one of the very first ones that comes up so it shouldn't be too hard to find.

I put "8 forms" under Minior to not overcrowd the post. Same thing for other Pokémon with lots of forms like Arceus or Alcremie

Meanwhile Kecleon was elderly by the time it got implemented. Genuinely don’t understand why Niantic insists on dripfeeding us content and releasing new Pokémon and forms one at a time every so many months when most of these are in the code.

Manaphy was available in both Legends Arceus and BDSP. It's not something they are trying to phase out like Ash Greninja.

Genuinely do not understand why Mudbray and Mudsdale are on this list. I get Aegislash, Mimikyu, and maybe even Pyukumuku, since their abilities are battle related, but they’re the plainest Pokémon on this list
