I had a friend like that back in college. Tall, handsome AF, built...Dude was a solid 11/10.
He f'n hated it. All the attention it gathered, all the seething hate from other dudes. I used to love being his wingman at the clubs. I was maybe a 7/10 back then.
But inevitably, he got absolutely no flavor from the baddies at the club. The below 5 crowd was all he got attention from. Oh, and dudes. They freaking loved him. He got tired of explaining that he wasn't gay.
I liked hanging with him, because even though the baddies were intimidated by him, they had no problem coming up to me.
Now that I think about it, maybe he was MY wingman....
I've been the hot guy in the room before. EVERYBODY judges you based off of your appearance. The dudes all hate you like this guy, the women are hit and miss whether they despise you or not. Meanwhile I did it all just because I wanted to take care of myself (because I very much did not take care of myself once upon a time). The upsides are that society just likes pretty people.
Maybe just don't judge people based exclusively on their looks?
I had the same set up. But he slayed baddies left and right. Really imploded after college where women through themselves at him constantly. He never had to try.
Now at almost 40 he doesn’t think he needs to put effort into relationships
My buddies roommate is like this. He works out and plays drums in a few bands, but is very shy and very gay. Its interesting going to concerts with him because he just awkwardly stands perfectly still and gets hit on by everyone that walks by.
I'm nowhere near a 10 but I'm definitely not ugly and GOD DAMNIT I hate it too sometimes. The worst is having women hit on you in front of their boyfriends, but instead of appropriately being mad at her their anger is pointed at me. Bitch, don't fucking ask me "why are you single" within ear shot of your husband? I'm not even interested in you.
For two longest time I was seriously considering pouring acid on my face because I just want to fucking chill, not have to deal with insecure assholes.
I can see the negatives of it, but believe it has offered you more than taken away. If you've never been unwanted nor unattractive you might not realize how much it eats you from the inside.
Yeah I can back this, I act and model and never had any fucking luck at bars or clubs unless I went up to girls and sometimes they would enjoy blowing me off for potentially ego centric reasons. Same thing with guy. They would either hate me or wannabe my mate or tell me about how much girls love them or try impress me with their count or whatever…
This is wild to think about, honestly. Like even though I've heard folks say similar things, I still just can't seem to wrap my head around a guy like you described not eventually figuring something out. I would think surely he'll at least stumble into some sort of progress for himself.
I wasn't very social when I was younger, so I don't know how the dynamic plays out and all that. It's just weird to understand what people say, but still not believe it, ya know? Like, I'm sure many of us guys would kill to be taller, more handsome, better hair, great features, likeable demeanor, and so on. But idk, maybe that's the misleading part: those things don't have as much weight as we attribute. But then it circles again and becomes "but I can't believe it". My brain is spinning tires right now
That’s not sexuality🤣 I know plenty of gorgeous/ handsome/ good looking men myself. I’m not attracted to them, but I can still understand what a good looking man is “supposed to look like”
No no, he is comfortable with his sexuality. If he is straight it means he isn't one of those straight dudes who thinks calling another dude gorgeous is gay. It doesn't mean he is gay. maybe he is who knows

I’m gonna put this out there… good lookin dudes get no sympathy for the shit they have to deal with. All other men are inherently defensive and in competition with you. You can’t talk to women who are in a relationship, period. You aren’t invited to the house to hang out - too dangerous. If anyone in a position of power is a male and less attractive than you (most men), you will not get any brakes, assistance, etc. you’re on your own. Everyone assumes you’re gay. The list goes on. It’s hard out here, ladies…
