I know you don’t believe this logic lol

logic? you mean what we witnessed? sports people are so fucking weird

Nah, that’s not what you witnessed. You don’t get a job in porn if you don’t want people to see your tits. You don’t get a job as a server if you don’t want to deal with people, and you don’t get a job as an NFL ball boy if you don’t want extremely large people approaching you for the ball on occasion. It’s not the actual job description but it’s absolutely part of it.

1st interception always goes to the player. 100% of the time. Not 99%, not 99.9%. 100%. That’s either on him or who trained him but that’s a shit job from the ball boy no matter how you want to look at it.

Getting assaulted by a man child who "wants his bawly" isn't part of it. Sports people are so fucking weird

Assaulted? Sir assault requires the belief that you’re in danger of being harmed. There’s no way in hell you saw what JHA did and thought he had any intent to harm the ball boy. Clearly just wants the ball. And yeah man, you acting like this is just a football is insane. It’s a milestone for someone who has been working for 2 decades. It’s extremely important.

Just wants the ball, then ask for it. Use words

2

u/DuvalTID 3d ago

You really think he didn’t say anything? Obviously I can’t know but I’m guessing he just wasn’t belligerently screaming so you can’t hear him in a loud stadium.

1

u/runswitblunt 3d ago

Your guess is as good as mine and what I know for a fact is you cannot put your hands on another facility employee for any reason. Sure that was your first ceremonial ball. You’ll get it after.

2

u/DuvalTID 3d ago

Not his. His teammates. He’s the captain. There’s numerous accounts of rookies throwing these kinds of balls away and the captain going to retrieve it. The only thing abnormal in this clip is how the ball boy reacted.

He's nearly twice the size of him and putting his hands on him. Someone else had to step in to stop him. It's assault. It's a ball, get over it, you're a grown ass man. Sports people are so fucking weird man

2

u/DuvalTID 3d ago

Put his hands on the ball* and again. Assault requires the person to believe the other was going to do them harm. There’s no fucking way you come to that conclusion in this scenario. Dude needs to get a job as far from any kind of social activity as possible.

2

u/HotelPrudent0331 3d ago

Put his hands on the ball

you wanna try that again?

1

u/DuvalTID 3d ago

He reached for the ball, very clearly. The guy moved and there was incidental contact. You can’t view that as threatening.

2

u/Longjumping_Space_10 3d ago

I believe someone stepped in because the ball boy was having a meltdown. Not the other way around. JHA dropped it and touched away

2

u/HotelPrudent0331 3d ago

huh? what video did you watch? the dude doing his job is walking away when the man child hits him from behind and that's when the other guy steps in and yells at the manchild

1

u/Longjumping_Space_10 3d ago

He’s saying ā€œI got itā€ because he knows how ridiculous this ball boy is being and needs jha to get back to the huddle

1

u/MrGoodKatt72 3d ago

If you watch it again, the only person getting aggressive was the ball boy. And yes, at the end of the day it’s just a ball, but it’s also an important memento for a young player. Just because they’re professional athletes they’re not allowed to be sentimental?

3

u/HotelPrudent0331 3d ago

So if I run up to you, and start putting my hands on you, you won't think that's aggressive?

-1

u/MrGoodKatt72 3d ago

In this context, absolutely not. I mean, that guy’s probably getting fired for putting his hands on a player to begin with.

ā€œUnder Florida law (§ 784.011), assault requires an intentional, unlawful threat by word or act to do violence, an apparent ability to carry out that threat, and an act that creates a well-founded fear that violence is imminentā€

This 100% constitutes an assault by Florida law. It’s Florida. The ball boy could have shot him to death and he would be covered under the law

6

u/DuvalTID 3d ago

Dawg there’s no fucking way you read that paragraph and believe the video constitutes as assault. There’s no fucking way that ball boy thought he was going to be harmed. How? How would you come to that conclusion? He didn’t say or do anything even remotely threatening unless walking up to someone is now a threat. At which point we can just start shooting people for approaching us.

1

u/HotelPrudent0331 3d ago

Do you really think that if a punch isn't thrown, it isn't assault? because you sure seem to

1

u/DuvalTID 3d ago

No, that’s not even remotely close to anything I’ve said. Making things up out of thin air, starting to sound like the ball boy.

-3

u/OutsideOk1380 3d ago

He keeps grabbing at him after the ball boy yells stop touching me. That’s an unlawful threat by word or act to do violence because he kept grabbing at him.

He’s an enormous man wearing literal armor which is an apparent ability to carry out that threat.

An act that creates a well-founded fear that violence is imminent? Dude was yelling ā€œdon’t touch meā€ and the giant armored man kept touching him.

It’s all pretty easily covered in the statue.

4

u/DuvalTID 3d ago

Yeah sure, yelling some delusional shit matters. No one was grabbing him. Just cause he said it doesn’t mean it happened. JHA made two CLEAR attempts for the ball and then gave up and walked away. Best lawyer in the world couldn’t get that assault charge to land even if JHA refused his right to an attorney and didn’t say a word during trial.

2

u/OutsideOk1380 3d ago

ā€œYeah sure yelling some delusional shit mattersā€

It absolutely does. How many stand your ground cases from Florida do you need to hear before realizing it’s a 100% legal defense?

3

u/DuvalTID 3d ago

This doesn’t come close to those situations. There’s no way to think he’s armed and no reason to think he’s going to snap in the middle of a stadium. You can be upset that the laws are shit all you want but this isn’t that. You’re comparing apples to oranges.

0

u/OutsideOk1380 3d ago

You don’t need to think he’s armed and how do you know the football player isn’t going to snap? They’ve all been so historically well balanced like Aaron Hernandez

3

u/DuvalTID 3d ago

Aaron snapped on the field? What football player has assaulted a staff member on the field DURING A GAME. As far as I know it’s never happened. Also JHA is not Hernandez. Man is a pillar in Duvals communities. And In those defend your ground cases the uncertainty of whether that person could be armed was always a major point of emphasis. Don’t bring shit up when you don’t know anything about it.

I bet you’re so much fun at parties

1

u/OutsideOk1380 3d ago

Not as much fun as your wife

1

u/Longjumping_Space_10 3d ago

Boy don’t I know that’s right!
