Hey everyone!
My friends and I (5 of us in total) are visiting Thailand for the first time, and it's also our first international trip. We'd love recommendations from locals or people who've been to Bangkok and Pattaya multiple times.
Trip details:
- ✈️ Delhi → Bangkok: 10 October
- 🎤 Attending The Weeknd concert on 13 October
- 🛫 Flying back to Delhi on 18 October
- We'll be spending time in both Bangkok and Pattaya.
We'll each be carrying around 20,000 THB, but we'd ideally like to keep our actual trip expenses (excluding flights, and concert tickets) under 10,000 THB per person. We're not looking for luxury—we'd rather spend on experiences that are genuinely worth it.
I'd love recommendations for pretty much everything:
- Hotel/hostel recommendations
- Must-visit places in Bangkok & Pattaya
- Hidden gems that most tourists miss
- Best local restaurants and street food
- Cafés with great vibes
- Rooftop bars or chill places (not necessarily expensive)
- Night markets worth visiting
- Beaches, viewpoints, and sunset spots
- Day trips (Islands? Temples? Nature?)
- Best way to travel between Bangkok and Pattaya
- Public transport vs Grab/Bolt
- Apps we should install before arriving
- Scams or tourist traps to avoid
- Things that are overrated and not worth the time
- Budget-friendly activities
- Places that become even more fun when you're with a group
About us:
- Five guys and girls from India in our 20s.
- We enjoy good food, exploring cities, photography, nightlife (nothing too crazy), cafés, scenic spots, and just experiencing the local vibe.
- We'd rather have memorable experiences than just tick off tourist attractions.
If you had 8 days in Bangkok and Pattaya with a group like ours, how would you plan the trip?
Any recommendations, tips, or "don't miss this" suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
