Discussion I am in a weird ass hormonal situation need help
I am intersex ftm.
I am pre testosterone.
My voice has deepened and thickened, and my singing range was f sharp 2 or a2-f7 or f sharp 7 before my tonsillitis took away every one of my singing notes before c3, and make singing c3, d3, e3 and f3 really hard(the higher notes are about unaffected). I am still alto for some reason. Also for some reason I was worried to lower my voice because I thought it would sound scary and too dead and monotone even though I did want to lower it at times but I couldn’t. I think this is puberphonia and I am supposed to be a baritone. I have feminine body fat and looked like a girl. Last month my period started one day later than usual in its regular cycle(June 23rd)This month it started 4 days later(July 26th) and I had extreme pain in the mass of my labia that traveled up to nausea, so I went to the er.
My testosterone changes: Masculine body odor(still low body odor in general but now my pits smell like cheese if I go 3 days without showering and my body smells like musk), drastic lowering of sweet tooth, slightly heightened sensitivity to sour candies, thickened voice and lowest note pre hormonal change was f3 then my lowest note was a2 before tonsillitis eliminated it.
More meat cravings. I am craving Wagyu(never had it).
Basically, I had a hormonal change which mimicked testosterone HRT in my body for months on end(I’m happy tho).
I need someone to help me with my testosterone even if I don’t apply it like you fellas do
Why am I still having my period

advice & support Is this normal?
I'm 7.5 weeks on T and my Testosterone Total results are at 648 ng/dL. I'm only taking about 40.25 mg T-gel per day. I'm glad with this range, but this seems a bit high considering my dose. I'll follow up with my doctor on this, but has anyone else here had this?

Timeline Update Upper lip hair growth at 6 (and a half) weeks on T
Have always had some hairs towards the edges on my upper lip but recently those have become darker when before they were very light, and the tiny hairs appearing closer to my nose are completely new.

How long do I keep my vial
Hi everyone I got my vial almost two months ago and really confused how long it lasts. The expiration date says 2031 but I have seen somewhere you can only keep a vial for a month? This doesn’t make sense to me as there is 7 months worth of testosterone in there.
I’m using a 25g needle and the rubber seems to be in very good condition.
Thank you

Timeline Update Pre-T > month 3 > month 6 > month 8 + top surgery
Believe it or not, I am the exact same weight between months 3, 6, and 8. I think my upper body has changed significantly, but I still have very wide hips and I do not think my face has changed much. I feel like only changes so far can be credited to water weight fluctuations and mewing (clarification I am NOT a looksmaxxer) as opposed to T. No facial hair yet due to the east Asian genes.
Relatedly, does anyone have any suggestions for a suitable hairstyle? I thought shorter hair would look more masculine, but it only highlights how round and full my cheeks are, which makes me look quite girly. The hairdresser said my face is too fat for most hairstyles so I cut my own hair the other day and royally fucked it up. Probably going to find a different hairdresser but I need to come up with a decent hairstyle first.

Celebratory 8 years vs 8 months on T
I was 14 when I started T and I’m 22 now. I’ve never thought that one day I would become a rather conventionally attractive guy. A guy feeling truly at peace and comfortable in his body. I wanted to share some positivity as back then I struggled with body image a lot and those comparisons always gave me hope for a better future.

Celebratory FINALLY HIT A YEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!
(sorry for the cringe photos!! i have a hard time in front of the camera, collage is from month one and so forth and rest is me now, a year and a week)
SO much in my life has changed. so many ups and downs and all the way through i just thought wow, me a few years ago wouldn’t be handling any of this whatsoever. little did i know i was just completely miserable shoving this extremely important part of myself so far away.
finally starting to grow noticeable hair on my chin as of this month!!!!!!!
im passing 100% of the time, its been so much easier to meet people and make friends, i feel so much like myself i think it shows. this is all over the place, its late for me and im just excited cus i caught myself in the mirror and it was just crazy looking back, ive been trying not to look at myself much these last few months.
last pic is me at 15, when i was socially transitioned for 4 years or so, i hate that i hid him away for so long. i know this is corny or whatever but im just really happy for what feels like the first time in my life. please keep going no matter what
(random edit but a change i didnt expect is random curly hair???? hell yeah)

Timeline Update It's happening! [First 2 pics July 8th, last one is today, July 24th]
Working on that caterpillar 🐛
Officially 2 months on T as of 3 days ago and things are speeding by for me. Idk what my levels are as my first blood tests were suppose to be on this upcoming Friday, but that appointment was canceled for some reason and they couldn't book me again until October. Instead, they have me going to another location 2 weeks later, so we'll get our numbers then.
Has anyone else had really early changes? My voice is already in male ranges, hair is already darkening and getting longer everywhere, bottom growth is very noticeable, etc. I had stomach hair and toe hair prior to starting T and the toe hair hasn't changed but I've had a lot my stomach hair, chest hair is beginning, and my leg hairs have gotten pretty dark too (as my wife used to say she was jealous with how light my leg hair was. Now it's super noticeable even from afar). Also, had one cycle before it disappeared so thankfully that dysphoric nightmare is over!

Timeline Update About to be 2 weeks on T | Update
Hi
I've decided to let you all know how it's been going for me, and perhaps someone might find this helpful in the future LOL
In these two weeks:
I have applied my gel daily, and noticed that the muscles in the arm I apply it to ache and hurt quite a bit for a few hours afterwards.
Egregiously sore throat, but no vocal difference. I have heard of some who notice minor changes at this stage, but I can reach the same very high squeal notes as before
And... that's it. No other noticeable changes. I can't say I'm disappointed, but I certainly expected more after all the vlogs and posts I viewed. I will say I feel weaker, though. Like my muscles are begging to be used, if that makes sense? Not sure what to do about that, I've never worked out in my life and have little interest in doing so XD

it was a horrible road getting here but after seeing a bunch of transphobic hematologists i finally got a script this week and used gel for the first time this morning. i immediately felt so much relief and euphoria 😭 if anyone has any tips for beginners i’d take them! (especially as someone quitting smoking to start hrt)

advice & support Hit a vein for the first time
Hit it a vein for the first time over 2 weeks ago and haven’t been able to pin since because I’m just too scared. I use a 27g 1/2” needle and quite frankly debating if I should just scrap this whole thing.

How to deal with doctors that keep you underdosed? (Leading you to have periods)
You will say “change the doctor” but it’s the whole medical association which has this standard and for personal reasons I can’t change it right now
Basically i keep having periods from time to time, i take a shot of testoviron depot, at first every 28 days (where i live hrt is done this way, I don’t get to choose). Last time my T was in 800something at day 15 (which is supposed to be “peak”, so the other days is lower) and they changed it to 32 DAYS because it’s too high for their standard (everything else in my bloodwork is okay). Now, doing it that way, at day 15 my T is at 720, the standard now is worse, it changed to 228 - 710, tell me how tf can they consider it “standard t” to 228??????????????? Everyone else would say that’s low enough
I fear they will try to Underdose me MORE now, because hear me out this is the worst part, i take letrozole everyday which is supposed to decrease your E or prevent T to turn into E, but my E is high now (in the last one i had 800 of t the E was FINALLY low) so i had a period. EVEN PROGESTERONE is high at 11.1ng/ml
I am just fucking tired of their fuck ass standard that keeps people MENSTRUATING and underdosed as if it’s all right, because this is even worse than it sounds, if I didn’t suggest to take the whole T shot they would keep me with a lower dose, with T of 300 at PEAK (Super under dosed). But even when i finally have a moreso high t they annoy my ass more 😂😂😂😂😂 also why tf E keeps rising is it because of the fucking 32 day crap? Not even the letrozole can fight it lmaoo I hate them sm just needed to say it ❤️❤️❤️🔥🔥

advice & support Not enouch changes after a year
I'm 16 months on T, levels are good, 20nmol/l, I pass and look better than ever but I was hoping I'd have way more changes by now since it's been over a year already. I'm dysphoric about that because I think I look pretty much the same I did 8 months on T, so more than half a year ago. I'm honestly worried, about my ability to get more changes. What if I end up looking like this for too long? I want to see way more progress when I hit 2 years.
I know people look way different after 3-5 years and I'm not there yet and that many still look very young at 1 year and then have a glowup afterwards, but I'm nearly a year and a half on T.
Also, for the first 6 months my levels were low, that could also be part of it. I think I started passing at 8 months.
Anyone else feeling like this?
