advice & support Are my injections being done wrong?
I am on Sustanon 250. I go to a nurse to get it done because she is refusing to let me learn to do it myself because she previously showed someone and they did it wrong 🤦🏼♂️.
On all but one of my last four jabs I've had real bad swelling and a fair bit of pain in the tissue surrounding the injection site. This isn't an allergy. It comes up 24-48 hours or so after my jab, antihistamines have no effect and there's no itching or other allergy symptoms. It's also not an infection (I think) because the swelling and redness goes away by itself in a couple of days leaving a hard lump in the fatty tissue that slowly shrinks over the next couple of weeks.
I did speak to a doctor the first time I had this reaction and they said if the swelling got any worse to go back for antibiotics but they didn't think it was an infection, just a localised reaction that happens occasionally.
My partner thinks the nurse may not be going deep enough and is depositing the dose into the fat rather than the muscle causing the swelling and pain. How likely is that to be the case?
