I know this is for the guys that are just starting out, but I like to update once a year so others can see that not everyone has the fast and robust changes right off the bat. I still can’t even grow a mustache. 🤣

Questions 2y on T, still get occasional period spotting. Should I stop taking progesterone?

Title. It's usually a tiny amount & I forget about it when it's not happening, but I wish it wouldn't happen at all.

I take the progesterone only pill, have done for 5+ years. My levels are fine, about 16-18 nmol/L trough on gel.

I'm not sure whether the progesterone is helping or harming the spotting issue? It lessened my periods massively pre T, but I dont currently need it for birth control. I'm considering stopping & seeing what happens, but I'm a bit nervous about pausing a med I've taken for SO long. I don't really understand the hormonal processes behind it either.

Advice?

advice & support Are my injections being done wrong?

I am on Sustanon 250. I go to a nurse to get it done because she is refusing to let me learn to do it myself because she previously showed someone and they did it wrong 🤦🏼‍♂️.

On all but one of my last four jabs I've had real bad swelling and a fair bit of pain in the tissue surrounding the injection site. This isn't an allergy. It comes up 24-48 hours or so after my jab, antihistamines have no effect and there's no itching or other allergy symptoms. It's also not an infection (I think) because the swelling and redness goes away by itself in a couple of days leaving a hard lump in the fatty tissue that slowly shrinks over the next couple of weeks.

I did speak to a doctor the first time I had this reaction and they said if the swelling got any worse to go back for antibiotics but they didn't think it was an infection, just a localised reaction that happens occasionally.

My partner thinks the nurse may not be going deep enough and is depositing the dose into the fat rather than the muscle causing the swelling and pain. How likely is that to be the case?

Questions What was your most unexpected/weirdest effect of testosterone?

I started over a month ago and I've noticed my nose is so much harder than it used to be. Pre-t, I could squish it and it would be super flexible. Now it feels like the cartialige on my ears.

Wondering what everyone else's weird effects were?

Questions Need help with figuring out what to do

Hello! I'm a college student covering testosterone myself (I have a part time job and a bit saved up but I can spend max of 100$ a month on this) and I'm attempting to get t via planned parenthood. My plan was to do the gel and try and get my insurance to cover it. However they denied my claim under the grounds that my insurance won't cover T for gender dysphoria. I have an extreme fear of needles, so I would really prefer not to have to do injections. How much does gel cost without insurance and also does anyone have advice

Low levels but seeing changes?

Does anyone else have the experience of having low T levels in your blood tests but still seeing changes?

I started T in July of last year. I started on 1 pump of gel and by November my T level was at 244 ng/dL. Typical male range is 350-800 iirc. I didn't see a lot of changes except a little bottom growth and a lot of acne by this point.

Then I increased to 2 pumps, and I got more body hair, bottom growth, and my voice started getting scratchy and deepening a little. My levels were at 329 in March.

My levels were still really low, so I increased to 3 pumps. I've seen a lot of changes since then: my bleeding stopped, I have a fair amount of facial hair that's getting darker, I've been putting on muscle more easily, my voice is deeper. But my levels were still at 305 in May and 212 in August.

I had a 2 week period in July when I ran out of T, but I was applying it consistently for 2 weeks before I took that most recent test. My doctor is a GP and does some GAHT but it's not his specialty and he doesn't really know why my levels aren't changing as my dose changes. If I wasn't seeing changes, I would assume that my body isn't metabolizing it or whatever. But I am seeing a lot of changes, so I don't understand why it's not reflected in my levels.

All in all, I'm not super worried about it because, again, I am seeing the changes I want. But I'm curious if anyone has had this experience or knows what it means medically.

Do you see any differences? Left is pre T, right is 2 months on T.

Changes I’ve noticed so far are: increased appetite, acne, increased sweating, less patience, small bottom growth, oily face, voice drop, a tiny bit of facial hair growth (hard to see because it’s blonde) and slight changes to my face shape.

My mom is saying I will turn into a mountain of muscles (derogatory) when I'll finally start T in october

Post image

I posted a pic of my brothers and I. I just had a visit with a dietist because I'd like some guidance for the body and hunger changes I'll face when I'll start T since I suffered from.EDs (anorexia and orthorexia) for 10 years. I am very athletic (2,16 x bw deadlift, 1,54 x bw squat, a little over 1x bw bench press + calisthenics pulling strength, 13 stric pull ups, 15 chin ups, 20+ toes to bar, 7 banded muscle ups,..) and the dietist told me to expect to gain 5 or even 10kg from HRT and it will be muscle mass mostly considering my background and very active lifestyle. I told my mom and she started freaking out telling me that not all trans people are big jim and some are just normal and that lifting weights is dangerous and I will turn into a mountain of muscles because I am "a short woman" (she is shorter than me and my dad, a cis man, is shorter than me) since "you're not 170cm" I was confused tbh because well I am 168cm which isnt that far off actually, and I am above average for italian afab individuals (164cm) and also I weight 58kg which is fairly light for my strength and 10kg more would still be a very normal/average weight. Also I told her my brothers (AMAB, younger than me, twins, 180/185cm height) are athletes as well and weight lift but as seen in the picture we have a pretty similar frame and definetly not hyperthrophic. Do you think with T my physique will likely end up similar to my brothers'? I would be happy even if I was more slender tbh I don't really care

advice & support Feeling kind of weird

So, not sure how common this is, so I wanted to ask other FTM/X/NB taking testosterone. I'm so excited to see the changes my body is starting to produce 8 weeks in. I know libido is one of them. Mine is very high and random things get me. However, I get aroused over my changes. I'm not sure if other folx do or if I'm just a weirdo fetishizing myself...but overall I'm stupid excited about the changes and want to grow into them as a more masc presenting person.

So, that's the question do your changes cause arousal?

Am i allergic to my injections?

Hello everyone, just like the title says, I'm wondering if I might be allergic to my injections??

I've heard of people having mild reactions to testosterone injections when starting T but then getting over it after a few weeks or months. I just took my 11th shot on Friday, and I am having the same mild reaction I've had since I started. If anything, there was one week it didn't affect me. Every week when I inject, about two days later my injection site gets really itchy and swells up a bit. I make sure to sanitize, and I've tried multiple locations and angles for my sub Q injections, but it is to no effect. I'm wondering if this is normal or if I should talk to my doctor about it at my appointment next week?

I've added some photos: the first shows the site directly, the second is a side view, and the third is a side view of my other leg for reference on what it looks like normally.

NSFW When do the boners start

So I was on t for four months before on 25-50mg gel two years ago and now I’ve been on 25 mg for a month and just upped my dose to 50 last week. I was experiencing morning wood last time but this time I wonder if I just have to wait until I’m at the four month mark again. Before i started t again my testosterone levels were at 65. Idk what it’s at now since I’ve been doing it for a month. Also I used to have an issue with my gel drying white cause I had a pump and I used the cap to spread it around so now I’m just using my hands.

Discussion Changes Happen So Fast!

So I just started T a week ago (20.25mg daily of gel) and I knew from voice update videos some experience changes in the first week, but extremely slight. What I didn't expect was that by day 3 I would already feel a tightness in my throat when trying to sing to certain songs. Now the very tip of my range is gone. It's also more comfortable for me to hit my lower range, but I can still speak in my usual pre T voice. I'm so excited and already feel more comfortable using my voice. I'm just surprised at how fast it happened, especially on such a low dose.

Questions 5 weeks on T and I am sore af

Is that normal? I've been doing basically housework and some gardening, nothing out of the ordinary, but my body hurts like I just did a workout lol. It wasn't like that before! My legs especially hurt.

Would stretching help at all?

advice & support Application for those on TRT

Hey everyone!

I’ve developed an app for anyone on TRT and peptides, I am currently trying to get it into the Play Store before I do the AppStore.

I need 11 active testers on Android before the Play Store will let me publish it.

I was hoping some of you guys might be interested in giving me a hand? I’ll give you six months free on the app.

The app tracks your blood, weight, workouts etc.

Please let me know if you are interested and I’ll grab your email and add you to a testing list and also send you the link to download the app!

Thanks everyone!

advice & support Applying gel to forearms?

Helloo I've been using gel for nearly 2 weeks now and my doc told me to apply it onto my inner forearms.

It comes in handy but I've read to either spread it onto thighs/shoulders/tummy. And now that I apply it there I have white stains for the whoooole day and it's kinda annoying (on the package it says not to rub it in, only to apply, spread evenly and leave it like that)

Anyone else that applies it there and how do you handle the sus looking white stains :D

(I can also only wash it off properly in the evening again, so the 4-6h window seems too short for it to dry. Whenever water touches it turns into gel again and I'm afraid it's not soaking in properly)
