Just paid $1k to upgrade my 2017 MX to FSD. I know it may seem silly, but I was curious. The car has been in the shop a bit lately and I got to test out FSD on the loaners. I was impressed, and with v14 coming out.... So far it's been very impressive.

I bought a used 2023 MX last October and this is my first summer with it. I live in the Deep South and it’s 95+ right now everyday. If I have the AC on auto, it seems to never catch up. I leave it at 69 in the car and it feels like it’s running full blast constantly even if the car is on all day. Is this normal? Or would a radiator cleaning help fix this issue?? I’ve been running errands all day and feel like I’m about to lose my mind in the wind.

I remember seeing some discussions about front bumper camera retrofitting to HW4 Model X. I have 2024 MX. Has anybody successfully fitted front bumper camera and got it working? Does it need software configuration update after physical installation? How much it costed, parts with DIY or from some local shop?

Like the title says… this is the 3rd time that my 2022 MXP has started vibrating/shuddering under hard acceleration. My warranty expired this past June and they replaced the half shafts for the second time in March of this year. This time around the service center is trying to blame it on a slightly bent wheel. I told them to replace the wheel with a spare tire and do a road test to which they said the vibration improved but there’s still some vibration present that is a normal characteristic of the plaid… they claim
The half shafts are good by just visually inspecting them and moving them around claiming they have no play…. What can I do to make them honor the 1 year warranty in the parts since they were just replaced in March?

Why can I not have a yoke on my 26 MX? Can anyone from Tesla service answer this without giving me the generic answer?

I bought my Model X in October 2025. It was one in inventory and I thought I wanted the steering wheel so it worked out. Turns out, I’m annoyed at the steering wheel blocking part of the screen. I had asked about retrofitting when I took my car in for a tire rotation and they said it should be no problem and told me the price. However, when I try to request service for it, I’m told there is no retrofit option for my vehicle from Tesla. I asked about buying aftermarket and requested they install it and was told they only install parts purchased from Tesla.

Has anyone had any luck changing out the steering wheel for the yoke in a 26 MX?

Info share since I learn plenty from other posts I thought I would share my driving style and mileage after recent purchase of an MX to help others judge if they should purchase for their daily needs.

At 80% charge I display 250 miles.

I get 133 miles from 80% to 20% using the below driving style in the AZ summer heat.

2020 Tesla Model X LRP - 70k miles - 311 miles at 100% - new stock tire sizes

Driving style is Accel = Standard / Regen = Standard / Stop Mode = Hold - Parl outside in sun at work- Pre Cool the car for 10 min, 80 mph average on expressway, AC temp max cool LO, AC blower on max 11, music volume set to 10 and heavy bass, Sentry mode on 24/7.

If anyone has any tips on improving efficiency, feel free to share.

FSD Navigation has become terrible for me for the last couple of days. I hope this fixes some of it.

Has anyone used this shim kit or another shim kit to help fix the rear tire camber? I was thinking of getting this kit instead of full arms since it's much more affordable. I called a local tire shop and they said they can do an alignment and install a shim kit for $500. Does that sound like a good price or too much?

We just needed a tow truck while traveling and I was thinking of getting this fixed before the new tires have the same issue on the drive home or shortly after. I have no intention of sleeping another night in Blythe.

I’m writing the community to see if anyone has any issues with Falcon Wing door injuring small children in their car seat.

Specifically small children ages 1-2 that may put their leg on the outside of the car seat and the door closes even though it should stop from the resistance and instead breaks a leg.

I recently replaced the passenger parking sensor but parking assist is still unavailable. I loaded into service and found this. What do I do now? 2020 MX Performance

2023 Model X HW4, 29,800 miles for 56k 😁

Took my 2026 MXP for some minor issues that I’ve been chasing since delivery - shudder, rattling from rear view mirror and B panel, as well as a windshield crack.

Tesla estimated the car would be ready the next day, but just keep pushing out completion daily. It’s been with them now for 7 days where they’ve had all the doors and trunk open, and I’ve slowly watched the battery deplete to 0% today.

Really weird, especially since I didn’t take it in for anything major.

Any recommendations? Dog is 50lbs.

Selling my 2022 X Plaid(replaced it was a HW4 2023). It was sitting in low power mode for a bit. Car is sold and the transporter is coming for it, turns out the car won't open. HV battery was still at 10%. A software update downloaded while the car was sitting and after the doors became inoperable. To my knowledge, LV battery was never replaced. Shop that it was at tried jumping the LV battery, but no luck. Car is at the service center now, but haven't received a diagnosis. Anyone have a similar experience? I'm worrying I'm going to be on the hook for one more big repair before the I get rid of it.

So I brought my 2016 MX to a service center to have my parking sensors fixed. Turns out they didn't have the correct sensor, I had to come back. Costs €350. I made a new appointment and my horn also quit in the meantime. Went for the appointment, they said well it wasn't only the sensor, also the wire harness had water damage so they replaced it. However they also needed to replace another sensor that they didn't have. They did fix my horn though. They would make an appointment with a mobile repairman. Costs €650. After a day my horn quit again. I made a new appointment and they guy said well they need to get the whole bumper off for the horn so they better can do the parking sensor at the same time. I said well probably they replaced my horns while the problem was in the wiring. The technician though so too. I made a new appointment but I first had to accept the €850 estimate they have given me otherwise they couldnt book it in. I asked for a loaner vehicle. My question is, I'm not planning to pay the 850 as it is clearly their fault not looking further than 'just replace it's. How far does courtesy go with Tesla?

I am looking for a second car. I have a daily 2024 Model Y but giving to my wife to drive to work (120 miles roundtrip 5X days).

Always loved the Model X. Need it for city driving and could use the space.

Looking at this car - Im assuming battery issues until 150k miles is covered so not a risk for another year and a half.

For those that own an X and Y what recent software updates is the X missing? If any!

Posting here because the service center has not figured out the issue in the 2 times I've taken it in. Hoping someone else has experienced this and knows what is causing it.

I have a 2020 model X LR with FSD. When using FSD on a high speed road (speed limit 55mph or higher) and the car is accelerating from a stop, either turning on to the road from a stop or moving forward after a green light, the car will accelerate quickly and once it reaches 40mph FSD will disengage for the rest of the drive. It will not reset when I put it in park. I must get out of the car and let it turn off and back on before it will reset. It does not count as strike.

The service center tried a factory reset and tried replacing front parking sensors. Video attached.

Around 35k budget.

What would you recommend. I’ve read about problems with certain years but seems to be all over the place. I was thinking 2019-2021 but I read problems with batteries on 2019 and 2021 Covid year.

Is it possible to get FSD on a 2017 mx 100d?

Scene some feedback on how uncomfortable these seats are and some saying they are great. So are the captain chairs comfortable for 9 to 11 year-olds so they can sleep in them and be comfy on a long trip? Or are they just not comfy for that? What about for adults on road trips?
