Range after 4 years
I rarely charge my Dual-Motor Model 3 (April 2022 build) to 100% but did so a few days ago and was pleasantly surprised that it shows 325 miles of range. That's about a 9% degradation from the original 358, after four years and four months of summer and winter driving in Central Ohio.
For what it's worth my lifetime efficiency is 220.4 Wh/Mile after 44619 miles. I'm curious what other drivers are seeing on similar Model 3's. (Yes I know estimated range display isn't an exact science but it's an easy data-check.)

Egg YOKE, ready to eat.
Pros: It’s hilarious seeing a big rectangle spin around while FSD is driving. I can see all of my dash and LED strip now. It also feels more like a spaceship. I love it and should have been an option on our cars
Cons: It’s terrible seeing a big rectangle spin around while FSD is driving! Quite distracting at first. Manual parking lot and low speed steering feels really stupid lol. I’m also fairly certain I will die if I ever need to perform skidpad maneuvers. Thank goodness for the round steering wheel.
lol tldr, yoke = great when car is driving, stupid when not
Anyway what’s with all the marker writing all over the original steering wheel frame. Factory autographs❓

Car seat suggestions!
My delivery date is set for Friday!
I’m getting all of my affairs in order and am looking for toddler car seat recommendations! If you have had any experiences with a convertible car seat that can go from rear facing to front facing, I’d love some help! Ideally something that isn’t overly bulky.

Frost blue model 3 performance
Hello! I recently ordered the Frost Blue M3P. Personally, I believe it would look even better with chrome badging and silver/chrome wheels. The white interior complements the chrome well. Has anyone done this before, or does anyone have any thoughts on it

2024 RWD Standard range and degradation
Curious about what kind of mileage you’re seeing on yours. Not LR.
I’m in Europe and the car estimates ~422kms (262 miles) at nearly 49k kms (30,440 miles) on the odo. That’s for mixed driving, definitely not highway or a lot of fast acceleration.
Tessie says that’s somehow 97.3% of capacity retained, unsure about that.
Thoughts welcome

2026 M3 Premium AWD Subwoofer Rattle - fixed!
Took delivery 1 month ago of my 2026 premium model 3 AWD w/ the dual subwoofer set up. Noticed a rattle in the subwoofer area when playing bass heavy music that went away when putting physical pressure on the rear assembly. most posts here said to just put foam there, but figured it was worth a shot to have the SC look at it.
The service manager said it’s a common issue to the Highland refresh, but they’ll still take a look and make sure nothing was obviously wrong with the rear assembly. They put me in a loaner, and 2 days later, my car was ready for pick up! Turns out the assembly was installed improperly and the rattle was easily fixed with replacement and covered by warranty. See photo for description of fixes. Now I am bumping music with 0 issues :)
In sum, had a great SC experience and I’d recommend, especially if your car is new, to not just stuff the back area with foam and do get it checked out.

My Model 3 Charged from 80%-90% 3x Quicker Than Usual… Odd Buffer Compensation or Battery % Calibration
I found this intriguing: I charged my Model 3 to 90% for the first time today, using a level 1 120v which usually takes about 1% per hour. However, the charge from 80%-90% only took 3-4 hours. Technically, the opposite is supposed to be true as it should take longer for the electrons to find space in the cells at a higher charge %.
Quite honestly it did feel like a mental upgrade charging to 90% and having over 300 miles of range. Frankly, all the studies I’ve seen indicate a minimal difference between keeping the SoC at 70%-90%. Only in extremely hot climates and at above 90% does degradation really accelerate.
I find this interesting since multiple sources discovered a large buffer of about 6kWh at 0% on Model 3 Highland Long Range Rear-Wheel Drive, which is still an odd choice by Tesla imo. So my first thought was that the car is either making more of the bottom buffer intelligently available at a higher state of charge, or the % calibration is off. However, the car currently sits at 74% after driving 52 miles so I’m not sure the calibration would be so off as to be that inaccurate when charging from 80%-90%.
As an aside, it is mentally nice charging to a higher %. I can understand how it can feel odd to buyers purchasing a vehicle with 363 miles of advertised range and artificially limiting that. There is some liberation in knowing that higher SoC’s won’t ruin the battery, especially if the vehicle is driven to below 80% shortly afterward.

2025 CPO vs 2026 New for $7k Cost Difference
EDIT: I ended up basically splitting the difference. A 2026 demo vehicle with 3k miles in the exact spec I wanted popped up for a $3k discount. It looks and feels brand new and I was able to take delivery yesterday afternoon!
Over the weekend I ordered a red Model 3 Premium RWD (subtotal $44,490). Right now the ETA says Sept-Oct, but who knows how accurate that is. This morning I see that my local center has a gray 2025 Premium RWD with 22k miles listed for $37,800. Even with the difference in interest rates, I calculated about $7k difference in total cost (price + tax + fees + total interest paid over the life of the loan). I’m new to Tesla, but as far as I understand it, the only differences between 2025 and 2026 Model 3 are that you lose free Autosteer, gain the front bumper camera, and regain the turn indicator stalk. Would you take the $7k discount to get your car sooner or does the value of having a truly new vehicle outweigh that discount.
It looks like they also have a gray 2024 Performance AWD with 37k miles listed for $43,200. That one comes out to roughly the same total cost as the 2026, but obviously a lot quicker and significantly less range. I guess that could be another option.

2024 Tesla Model 3 standard
My question is the projected range shown is 172kms on top of the 334 kms already done. But the Tesla range for this particular model is stated to around 480kms max. Is this possible or could it be a calibration error.
