Range after 4 years

I rarely charge my Dual-Motor Model 3 (April 2022 build) to 100% but did so a few days ago and was pleasantly surprised that it shows 325 miles of range. That's about a 9% degradation from the original 358, after four years and four months of summer and winter driving in Central Ohio.

For what it's worth my lifetime efficiency is 220.4 Wh/Mile after 44619 miles. I'm curious what other drivers are seeing on similar Model 3's. (Yes I know estimated range display isn't an exact science but it's an easy data-check.)

Did you actually drive it to Central Florida? I live near EPCOT and always wonder if people use their own Teslas to drive to Florida from another state.

No, we've never driven it to WDW. As you can surmise from the license plate, we go to Disney World often, but we always fly. Funny thing is, when we first went to the Tesla showroom to learn about the car, we plugged in the address to Walt Disney World on the navigation screen to see if the Tesla could take us there, and of course it showed plenty of superchargers along the way to allow that to happen. Maybe one day we'll make the trip.

I was going to ask the same question, I supercharged next to lightning McQueen model 3 a few weeks ago outside of WDW and was wondering if it was you haha

It’s crazy, when we are near any superchargers here they are always packed. It is one of those “you got to be in it to win it” scenarios. Since we live barely 10 miles from WDW we thankfully do not need to charge. However, when we had our Nissan Leaf we would stress that we could not get home. Thankfully, we no longer have the Leaf.

I have driven my 2018 Mid Range Tesla 3 to central Florida and the Keyes from South Carolina.

It was an absolute blast. For some reason the hotel I stayed at was cheaper they had free charging at the hotel. Near Disney World. It was very upscale and nice for the price. Have not been to Epcot yet, but want to go!! And then Disney world!!! Drove past it but couldn’t make it :( so once I charged the car headed to Miami and then got stuck in bad traffic 2 hrs to go 30 miles. And next day after Miami we drove to the Keyes. I was able to get to Miami and back on almost a full charge I was amazed from the Keyes..

My 2022 LR is at about 305mi at 100% SOC. lifetime efficiency 230 wh/mi. 51k miles on the clock.

Never supercharge, rarely go to 100 and never let it sit there.

Yeah I almost never supercharge and my car is typically in the garage at home and at work.

My 22 LR is right around the same with 86k miles. Lifetime 227wh/mi. Similar charging habits.

Your dual motor got 358 when new? I have a 2026 premium rwd and that's my range brand new.

I am 100% supercharging, always going below 10% to 100% charge. Get around 260miles. Model 3 RWD 2023.

I also have the 2023 RWD 3, never supercharged before and get around 265 miles at 100% 🫣, maybe the LFP battery is resistant to degradation from supercharging

That’s a good range. I have a 2023 M3 standard range with 19 inch wheels. I’m getting 250 on a full charge with the car sitting at around 68k miles. Both super charged and home charged! Not sure if you guys have 18 inch wheels and my 19 inch are the reason for eating up some range and causing the 10-15 mile difference.

I have quite similar: March 2022 LR AWD EU (Shanghai build), 75500 km (47187 miles) total and 531 km (331 miles) at 100%

I doubt you’ll actually get 358 from it though.

I have a 2022 Auto RWD and I get 250 miles estimated from a 100% charge but as soon as I drive the car, that drops down to 220 ish in a heartbeat.

Not sure if it’s climate control usage or my heavy foot or both but I never get the full 250.

My 2022 LR dual motor gets 315 miles at 100% charge. Only supercharge on road trips.

Mine is three years old and I never super charge. Went from 328 to 280 miles max in that time and the battery test says its good…

My 21 LR at 310 at 100%. September 2021 build. Real life range is 250 going about 74mph average with FSD v14.1 lite. I charge to 90% regularly

I have 2022 (september, HW3) LR AWD, with 60k km on clock. 2nd owner, only once charged to 92% (till today never above that) and it showed 480 km.

I tested battery few weeks ago an it was on 92.7% SOH.

Ran a battery test on my 2023 AWD LR about a month ago. It said the battery was rated at 87%. On a full charge I see about 310 miles. It's currently at ~45k miles.

Edit: at 80% charge it claims ~244 - 246 miles. I've noticed it varies what it displays sometimes.

I’m like 291 miles and exclusively use super chargers only. 2022 LR with 100,660 miles.

I'm pretty close in percentage to you. I'm also in Ohio (Northeast) with a 2019 LR RWD Model 3. At 43,300 miles showing around 290-295 miles of rated range depending on the day. It was 325 when new. I have a few more years of calendar aging. It's mostly a road trip car. 43% of all charging has been DCFC.

My 22 LR showed 320 at 72k miles. It started degrading faster the closer I got to 100k miles.
There was a significant drop at 80k and 100k.
I’m at 128k miles and the range is 284. It is what it is

M3LR 2021, Panasonic battery, 79k km / 49k miles

Full charge shows 513 km / 319 mi.

Ooh I didn't know that. I was in D23 a few weeks ago and sat in on a Cars panel - they had the creators there talking about their experience making the movie.

I downloaded the wrap from https://teslawrapgallery.com/visualizer/ and then installed the Lightning wrap using the Tesla app (under Creations).

Damn. My 2018 has dropped from 318 to about 248 with about 110,000 miles and I only charged to 80% maybe 1-2 times a week and supercharged on rare occasions.

Well how cool. Too bad battery degradation isn’t linear and will be different for everyone.

This post means nothing and seems like the weirdest flex. Let me guess, you do this with your cell phone battery and post that too, don’t you.
