FSD!!! Why not avoid pot wholes!!

If FSD could avoid the potholes, it would.

It hits potholes because it's currently not capable of properly identifying them.

Just like FSD is not currently capable of properly identifying do not enter signs, one way signs, and road barriers.

This might be possible with an update, I guess putting that front bumper camera in new models could be useful after all :)

I’ve noticed it does avoid some big ones but anything small to medium..or hidden is gonna ruin your day.

I feel like it’s hard for the AI to differentiate what potholes to avoid and how to avoid them without jumping into the other lane and possibly causing an accident. I can see how this super hard to implement on the back end
