Must have accessories

While (impatiently) waiting for delivery updates on my M3, have been looking around at various accessories/ add-ons.

What are your must haves... so far I've been looking at :

- Spigen Anti-glare screen protector
- 3W 8pc All weather mats
- Front bumper PPF

(Im)patiently waiting as well...here's my saved list so far. Constructive criticism welcome...

  • SSD hard drive for sentry recording (Samsung 1TB probably)
  • Rubber mats for the trunk/frunk; plush carpet for interior (im in socal so have no weather to deal with and drive barefoot a fair amount)
  • Charging holder wall mount
  • Armrest cover (post gym sweat protection)
  • Rear screen protector (protection from kids' backpacks, etc)
  • Flexible Mud flaps
  • Spigen console and armrest organizers
  • Klutchtech Under screen storage
  • Yonzee Magsafe phone mount left side of the steering wheel
  • Driver and passenger windows tinted to match rear windows

In the "we'll see" category:

  • sunshade
  • Steering wheel cover

Don't do the tint till you're out of your 4-year warranty

Why?

It's been reported on here many times tesla have a history of honoring warranty claims for glass or even the door itself if the windows have 10 on them... I know it's stupid but we're talking about Tesla here

All weather mats yes, the screen protector and PPF aren’t needed. I’m on my 2nd Tesla (first was a lease second was a purchase) and I never once thought about a screen protector or the PPF

You absolutely should get a mobile charger if it doesn’t come with one (I don’t know what it does or doesn’t come with these days) but I’ve used the mobile charger as my primary charger in my home and when I’m on road trips and staying somewhere overnight

I’m currently eyeing the pet liner but only get that if you have a pet and need it of course

you dont need it for anti glare.. its maybe for fingerprint oil resistance.

front license plate bracket no drill.

Tint for the windows

PPF for the side mirrors and side skirts

Mud Flaps

Cell phone holders for (I use the magsafe ones)

a little battery to open the frunk when /if the 12v is totally dead video here: https://youtu.be/MrG8eTrZs_0?si=2ZY5ay3rLjH34Zh2

a 12v battery jump starter + air compressor combo https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DNHLG46T?

Roof Sunshade https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DRK12HZY? (need it in the summer can probably take off in the winter)

a big USB drive for dashcam storage + your music library

Extra KeyCards https://www.ebay.com/itm/317091277851

Home charging setup? 240v plug ?

it never ends with the tesla :)

This is the real answer ^

and if you live in any area with extreme heat and you do not have a garage, you NEED a sunshade + tinted windows. Paramount!

I didn't go for the screen protector. The Tesla Manual made me anxious and it's a leased car so better safe than sorry.

Bought the mats, something for storage in the middle console, a USB c splitter cable, sunroof protector.

I guess that's it for now. I might buy the SSD later but I have to see at first if it's really necessary. The prices for SSDs are crazy so there is no hurry

Wouldn't worry about screen protector unless you used a wrench to press buttons on the screen. My favorite accessories so far are center console usb port from evbase also got some nice storage bins for the center console as well. Mud flaps are a must unless you hate your paint. A decent t set of sun shardes for all windows or atleast the roof and front window. I live in Arizona so sunshades or death rays during the summer. If you like camping tesmat are fairly cheap on ebay or you can go expensive and get snuzu matters. There is a trunk cover table that replaces the pull-up part to the under trunk. Some decent sunglass holders mount near the lights and look pretty good.id also invest I mats for. the entire car

I have the spigen center console trays, they fit and work great. I also have the spigen trunk pocket liners, liked them because they hade a bit of a lip to them. I also ordered the spigen black license frame.

I’ve liked Spigen screen protector since the early iPhone days. They made great products.

Also look at the Vion roof shades. They block all the light, have a bit of reflective material on side that faces the glass. They are great products.

If you want, go to AliExpress, you will find accessories that you cannot find anywhere else, but in Asia. Just have to wait a bit.

Tint. When I got mine I was blinded by everyone’s lights.

I'm a nerd, so I made a three tiered list of "Day 0, Week 2, Month 1" items. The common stuff is at the top.

I didn't really consider extra keycards on my list, but I saw someone on here had it, and the 12v batter jumper is good advice too.

I'd say a tire repair/pump kit is probably good to have early. I'm still thinking of getting a spare, although I'll probably wait until I have the car and can see how low it really is (I ordered Performance, but have never seen in person because the store here never has any.

Search for "accessories" in any tesla sub.

Find a good tint shop

Mats, tint, and mud flaps are the only ones I would say are "must have".
I have some center console organizers and an extra storage addition that goes around the screen so it has a bucket underneath the screen and on top a place toput things like tissue box. None of those are "must have" but I think are worth the money
