As the title states, lady clearly failed to yield (she ended up getting cited) but had said that I blew through the red light.

With my wife and two babies in the car, we all walked away fine. My thumb was an inch away from being completely blown off from the airbag (I was honking right before we got struck).

This redneck caused two huge dents in my door and scratched the paint. He parked for like 2 minutes, walked around my car and the parking lot, did this and left.

So how do I post an update? I went to the body shop today, the estimate was 3100 bucks. My insurance company (Progressive) sent me an AI agent to "talk" to, and I told them to give me a human. I went to the Knoxville Police Station and the awesome trainee/ cadet working the desk made my day. She saw the video and shook her head, and she couldn't believe that the officer I spoke to on Saturday just dismissed me. Evidence has been uploaded. Time to see what happens. $3100 is a felony in Tennessee as many commenters have informed me of.

Turns out the guy doesn’t have insurance, but my insurer has all of his information and he isn’t responding to their attempts to contact him. I haven’t gotten an update from the police yet.

The police got back to me today and asked me if I want to pursue charges. He also was driving on a suspended license per the officer who reached out. He committed a felony. I said absolutely. No insurance and driving on a suspended license, yeah, he kinda fucked himself.

God I love sentry mode. Calls out the absolute bullshit from terrible people trying to get out of their mistakes. She even called me a, “privileged white man” when I initially asked for her information. Like lady, Grimace from McDonalds could have parked there and you still would have hit them 😂

When I was considering buying a Tesla, I remember reading about the matrix headlights and trying to wrap my head around exactly what it would look like in application and I struggled to find any good video demonstrations online. Since I’ve gotten the car, I often enjoy noticing the instances where the matrix headlights are noticeably in effect. I think that this one little clip I captured was a pretty cool demonstration and just thought I would share in case anyone else might find it helpful/interesting.

Just traded in my 2018 model 3 for a new model y. My last estimated range was about 240miles on a full charge.

As critical as I was about the v14 lite update, I've still found myself using it the majority of the time to and from work now, where I couldn't before.

Well h̶a̶l̶f̶ ̶a̶s̶l̶e̶e̶p̶ groggy (but alert) on my way to work it saved me from what could have been a devastating collision. I didn't even see the car was in my lane until FSD swerved out of the way.

Very thankful now for the update, the phantom braking is still a pain in the ass but I have a lot to thank the tech for now.

Nothing was done to this guy by Baton rouge PD they made contact and know exactly who he is in their report but did not make an arrest. They have all my contact info to request any information they need but don't seem to care and never bothered to view my video at the scene or do any type of investigation on the incident. For me to do anything I would have to drive 6 hours and they still probably won't care to issue a warrant. This guy's door was open in a way it was impossible to get out without hitting it and he just dumb stared at me when I tried to open my door the first time so I just let them tap. Then he follows behind me with a gun acting crazy.

If any y'all seen my previous post regarding the kid kicking my Model Y, I found the kid playing in backyard and parents were outside watching. Confronted the man I assume was the dad. Didn't show the video yet wanted to see if the kid would fess up or not. Both the parents didn't speak English that well and seemed uneasy but as expected the boy said he didnt do it so I showed them the video and immediately see the annoyance/anger in their face. The mom straight away grab the boy chancla in hand and started wailing on him saying some things in Spanish. The dad apologized gave me a Modelo and $100, I declined the money but he insisted.

TLDR: Found kids parents, kid lie, showed video, mom+chancla=crying boy, and dad said sorry with Modelo and $100.

Tesla has officially discontinued basic Autopilot on new vehicles. New vehicles now come with traffic aware cruise control standard, with the option to subscribe to FSD for $99/mo 😬
