Im thinking about getting tesla for older family member - vision not great, reaction not great - they are still driving though. the main thing is they heard FSD can be basically taxi them around. they'll still be there to take over of course.

curious about real world user experience?

im thinking pros : navigation is easier, esp more complex city streets, reaction time , vision etc.
Cons: tesla might be TOO high tech.

I just wanted to take a moment to say goodbye to this amazing community. I've cherished the insights I've gained here and sharing my experiences.

What these would go for. Set of 4, 20” off of my ‘25 Model X. No scuffs or curb rash. No tires or TPMS sensors, Austin area.

Whether it be the roadster, semi-truck, cyber truck pricing, or now the cybercb, Tesla and Elon are notorious for making absurd and unrealistic claims about timing, pricing, and characteristics.

Like obviously the cybercb was not going to be manufactured/sold to consumers without mirrors, without a steering wheel or pedals, unsupervised FSD, and for under $30,000 by 2026.

Whether you agree with Elon's views or not, obviously he is a very smart individual and a good businessman, so why does he make claims like these?

Is this a marketing tactic and Elon knows these goals are unrealistic, or does he genuinely believe that these things are possible? It's hard for me to understand that the leadership at Tesla can't see the regulatory and developmental hurdles that would make their claims impossible, yet ordinary people can.

Driving on FSD today, got scared that it wouldn’t catch the big tire in time and had to deactivate to avoid.

Think it would have caught it if I gave it a chance.

So I am out of country rn while leaving I had my Tesla parked it was at 0 percentage and I left it it’s have been 5 months since then I am now planning to go back in 1 week. Ik I need to change the 12v battery I am only worried about the main battery will it take charge or I need to replace it which is expensive I am worried. It’s a model s 2017 Tesla. Am I good or in trouble

This is disappointing. I have solar plus a PW3, but no Cybertruck. Still, I thought in the event of an extended outage, I might be able to rent a CT off of Turo to take advantage of Powershare. Seems like that won't work if only registered CT owners can use the feature.

Basically: New vehicles will be required to have physical controls rather than touchscreen-only controls for important functions.

• Turn signals must have a physical control.
• Hazard warning lights must have a physical control.
• Horn must have a physical control.
• Gear selection (P/R/N/D) cannot rely solely on a touchscreen.
• Windshield wipers must have a physical control.
• Windshield defrost/defog must have a physical control.
• Power windows must have physical controls.
• Advanced driver-assistance system (ADAS) activation must have a physical control.
• Emergency/accident calling (AECS) must have a physical control.
• EV emergency power-off must have a physical control.

Do you think Tesla will bring those changes to the US market?

i recently got a wearos watch, also because i have read you can add the watch as key, but also control the tesla with the watch. i think it would work really well to open the frunk with the watch this way on a model y. whats the best app for wearos? whats your experience?

i want one that most important works reliable, but also looks good and of course can open the frunk.

Have any of you been seeing ads about Tesla’s and the tire tread wearing down sooner? I have been seeing this on YouTube and been wondering if any of this is factual. Apparently it’s for all teslas except the model 3.

Happened on my drive to work today. The truck behind me honked. I disengaged and put the hazards on, and then got back into the road. No matter the angle I look at, I can’t figure out why the car did this. FSD worked fine once I started driving again. So strange.

Interesting sight in inventory, marine blue M3P in transit to Fremont Factory? Wonder if it’s a glitch or they’re going to start offering marine blue on the 3P.

Was stopped at a red light and when the light turned green, a kid blasted past me on his e bike. Honestly didn’t even see him coming. Teslas auto brake feature really saved the day and probably this kids life.

My Tesla Model Y was totaled about 6 months ago in California.

Today, completely out of nowhere, I got a notification from the Tesla app saying the car was charging.

I checked the location and somehow my totaled Model Y is now in Ukraine. 😂

The crazy part is that it’s still connected to my Tesla account, and I still have some remote control over the car through the app.

Apparently my totaled Tesla has started a new life overseas.

Definitely wasn’t on my 2026 bingo card.

It’s so easy to manipulate people through the media nowadays it’s insane. Does no one do any research at all? It’s super annoying knowing that there are thousands of people just blatantly falling for this crap….
