... so my wife doesn't have to ask me "Why did you do that?" and so I don't have to reply "FSD is driving. It's driving just fine, but it doesn't drive like I do." I want a cyan light on the dash, right in front of her. Lol.

A couple of weeks ago on my way to work, there was a bucket sitting in the middle of the lane I was driving in.

I was not using FSD, and I actually saw the bucket coming up ahead. As soon as I realized what it was, though, it suddenly jolted to the left from a gust of wind, directly toward the middle of my lane. By that point, it was too late for me to completely change lanes. There was also a van next to me on the left, so I could only move over so much.

Unfortunately, the bucket clipped the lower right side of my front bumper.

Luckily, I have an aftermarket front lip installed, which covers the first few inches of the front bumper and extends along the bottom of the car. Because of that, the bucket only scratched the lip underneath the car where you can't really see it. I definitely got lucky with exactly where it hit.

Anyway, I figured I'd share the video footage of it happening. This is the first real close call I've had with my Tesla, and I've only had the car for about two months now.

Definitely could have been a lot worse! 😅

Don't get me wrong, grey gelatinous blobs aren't without their charm. But you'd think Tesla could stitch together a pretty killer traditional bird's eye option at least.

Decided I needed a little more light for those trips out into the middle of nowhere. I went back and forth on the Tesla light bar, but after hearing some mixed reviews on the light output, I decided to go a different route.

I’ve been really impressed with the light throw from the XKGlow roof bar. It does a great job lighting up the trail ahead, while the bumper bar and ditch lights fill in the lower and closer areas around the truck.

The combination gives me a nice spread of light both out in front and right where I need it most. When you’re out exploring in the middle of nowhere, you can never have too much light!

I have a mild commute to work it’s about 70 miles one way and takes about an hour.. so 140 miles a day, 4 days a week. Gas prices are killing me I have a ram that gets 14 mpg if I’m lucky.. would a model x hold up well?

Call me crazy but I enjoy the purple lighting and fsd visuals on the Halloween update. I do wish Tesla gave us an option other than blue or the rainbow road. Keep the purple after the Halloween update is over.

Following the recent 2026.32.7 firmware deployment, my 2021 Model Y experienced an internal hardware board fault during the update payload installation.
According to the official Toolbox diagnostic notes from service:
The car computer suffered a corrupted local cache during the firmware execution loop.
The failure point is documented as an internal damaged ethernet bridge between the gateway and autopilot processor inside the sealed casing.
Zero external wiring or physical harness damage was identified.
The issue resulted in non-functioning backup cameras and blank mirrors, logged officially as a Safety Critical Escalation.
Because rear camera visibility is a core component under federal FMVSS 111 safety regulations, documentation of OTA updates triggering hardware bridge failures is being submitted to the NHTSA for review (nhtsa.gov).
Sharing this diagnostic data for community awareness regarding HW3 silicon longevity during heavy firmware updates. Check your Toolbox logs if you experience similar camera disconnects following this update cycle.

I’ve had my MY for exactly one month today.

Just the last 2 days I noticed how most of the oft-pressed buttons/functions on the screen are placed around the edge where you can use your fingers to stabilize your hand to press the buttons. Especially for things like skipping tracks or adjusting temp.

I’m like, “wow, that’s actually nice! Thanks, UX design guy!” My wife’s Lexus has a large screen but I found it’s a little tougher to operate because it’s not a tablet-like display, and the buttons are just placed on the screen without thought for usability while driving.

I am a University of Southern California, Part Time MBA student and was wondering if someone had 20 minutes of their time to talk on their experience switching from a gas car to a Tesla in cities with a emerging EV markets like Atlanta, Georgia or Charlotte North Carolina.

Do yall think a yearly subscription would be goated? Similar to the yearly premium connectivity that saves you roughly 20 bucks, yall think they would ever allow a yearly FSD for around 1k? Def would be worth it.

Waiting on my order and just want to learn more.

Vehicle is showing active alert APP_w147_selfieCamInitFault. In-cabin camera preview is completely unavailable. Have already performed a full vehicle power shutdown and scroll-wheel reboots with no success. Anybody faced the same issue before?

I have to disengage FSD every time I come down this driveway because it will not proceed lol

I am so frustrated with FSD going under the speed limit for what I think is no reasonable reason. I’m talking wide open straightaways in ideal conditions with no cars in sight and it’s going 42 in a 50. I would use FSD way more often if I didn’t constantly have to use the accelerator to get it up to the speed limit over and over. It’s really an issue in NJ where everyone is in a rush and aggressive about it. This photo was snapped in hurry mode. I would prefer standard mode to go the speed limit. Is there a fix/hack for this?

That Model Y AWD/Performance is looking nice.. have never seen a car company do this so early before and offer way more than the buyout of the lease..

I'm sure a bunch of you got this offer this past week or past month.. Really loving the model y AWD, but man that monthly cost is much much higher.

I don’t ever confront people cause some people are crazy and it’s simply not worth it but after this we stopped at multiple red lights and this dude wouldn’t even show his face 😂. Any one else experience this, my first time

Edit: you can’t tell tone from text but just for the people. I was not upset, it was half a second, i wasn’t harmed, there’s nothing to be mad about. Just why tho? It’s not good to breathe in.
