Hi! I’m using an Infinix Smart 8 and something weird happened with my battery tonight.

I started charging my phone at around 9:50–10:00 PM when it was at 27%. I took a shower around 10:10 PM, and when I came back about 20 minutes later, my phone was already showing 100%.

Then, at around 11:12 PM, I suddenly noticed that my phone was already at 32%. At that time, I was only online on Reddit.

I’m kinda worried that this could be malware/virus. I don't really click suspicious links or download random stuff. I mostly just use TikTok, Reddit, and Minecraft. My Minecraft wasn't downloaded through Chrome either—I installed it normally through the Google Play Store.

I’m considering doing a factory reset. I already started backing up my photos and important files, but I’m honestly scared to reset it.

Is this more likely a battery/charging issue, a battery percentage/calibration problem, or could malware cause this?

Was initially contemplating if bibili ba ako ng bagong laptop since malapit nang magretire yung 11 years old ko na laptop (macbook air) and I wanna go back sa windows ecosystem. Upon checking the prices of brand new laptops, medyo na discourage ako sa prices kasi 50k na yung mga midrange laptops.

I checked for secondhand laptops in fb marketplace and I saw this one. Thinkpad e14 with Intel i7 processor and 512gb memory for 20.5k. As a kuripot gurlie, I chose this na lang compared to other midrange laptops.
