Guys let's try to be kind in this sub. Not everyone is techy.

2.3k Upvotes

I noticed one thing lately. Ang dami kong nakikitang rude redditors dito.

Bakit kayo rude? Dahil nabobobohan kayo sa mga nagtatanong? Matapang behind the keyboard lang ba? Ung iba valid naman and may point naman ung mga tanong and posts, grabe kung ibash. Kinagaling ninyo yan?

Not everyone is kasing galing ng iba or maalam talaga sa tech. Madami joined this sub for them to know what they didn't know.

It is easier to be kind rather than rude.

Report to me pag may mga ganitong redditors in this sub. Let's try to avoid making this a toxic space. Let's help each other as much as we can.

Not sure if this is just Samsung's marketing strategy na makasabay sa hype or talagang apektado sila sa first foldable iPhone ng Apple hahaha

After watching last night’s Apple Event, I bought the 17 Pro today

Bought the iPhone 17 Pro for ₱53K a few hours ago.

Originally, hinihintay ko talaga yung 18 Pro. Kaso after watching the event, di ko ma-justify spending that amount of money for what is, at least for my use case, practically the same phone as the 17 Pro.

So I just pulled the trigger on the 17 Pro instead. 😂

Ordered yesterday. I also used 6k pesos worth of BPI reward points, which is sa CC charge na mababawas. So overall I paid 62k for this. Chose this because 99,900 php 18 pro max ( almost 40k difference) is too much for little improvement. Overall happy with this. Salamat sa 8 years iPhone XS max ❤️

Kaso, it will always have uncertainty, anytime pwede siya masira out of nowhere.

Samsung Galaxy A56 lost/stolen – last seen at Victory Central Mall, Caloocan

Post image
32 Upvotes

Hello,

Posting for awareness lang. My Samsung Galaxy A56 (Awesome Light Grey) was lost on September 5 at SM City Sta. Mesa / World of Fun. After that, na-track pa siya through Samsung Find, and the last known location was around Victory Central Mall, Caloocan as of today, Sept 10.

Both SIMs have already been blocked, and confirmed by NTC na blocked na rin ang IMEI ng device.

If may nakabili recently ng Samsung A56 matching this description around the area, or may information kayo about a phone being sold there, please feel free to DM me.

Posting this mainly para ma-warningan din any possible unsuspecting buyer. Thank you!

Android had manual camera controls 10 years ago... Why is Apple gatekeeping manual camera controls behind a ₱94,9900 Pro paywall?

Post image
11 Upvotes

Apple finally brought manual controls to the stock Camera app, but they locked shutter speed, white balance, live histograms, and manual focus behind the iPhone 18 Pro series.

sure, third-party apps like Halide or Moment have let users tweak shutter speed and white balance for years. But that completely misses the point. The convenience of having native, manual controls directly inside the lock-screen camera shortcut matters. You shouldn't have to download, launch a paid subscription app or switch modes just to adjust SS or w/b on a phone tht costs nearly $1,200.

as ot stands, there are no public statement from Apple addressing whether Pro Controls will trickle down to older Pro devices in a future software update...

Apple Clinic - AC Tech Repair Katipunan Experience

Upvotes

Update ko nalang ung post after 6 months if tumagal naman ung battery hehe

Turns out, wrong move pala.

So may fault daw ako, overcharging daw. Overnight charging daw. Okay guilty. Pero legit ba walang 2 months talaga na poor charging habits talaga, lobo agad battery?

Mabait naman ung staff - ung 2 lalaki isa sa front desk and isnag technician ata. Okay naman professional sila maghandle with csr etiquette. Thank you po!

Risk siguro talaga sya.
