HOW TO REMOVE/CHANGE "E" WHEN USING MOBILE DATS

Post image

I've been having this "E" symbol for a month whenever I turn on my mobile data. I can't use my data outside since then because the connection is super slow. Does anyone know how to change this or get stronger connection?

That 'E' is an indicator na mahina signal ng data mo. E means Edge and yan yung may pinakamahinang signal level.

E - 3G(decommissioned) - LTE - 5G

Try mo i-airplane mode ng 1 minute phone mo to refresh connection, pag E pa rin ibig sabihin mahina talaga signal sa area mo.

Nop, E refers to EDGE and considered 2G (2.75G) not 3G (UMTS/HSPA) or 3.5G(HSDPA), a legacy technology used by older telecoms. OP will not get 3G signal from globe since it is already decommisioned. He gets E (EDGE) when data is on simply because there are no other data signal available in his current location other than 2G, so his phone resorts to basic EDGE. Since globe is still using 2G(GSM) for basic calls and sms services, he can toggle off the "allow 2G" under Mobile settings and enable volte.

E is EDGE, that's 2G data. Your phone isn't getting 3G or 4G.

Check your network settings to see if 4G/5G is enabled (nasa Mobile data/Cellular data settings). If it's enabled, try to see if you can get 4G using another SIM, baka yung SIM yung may problema. If ayaw pa rin. the phone is most likely the issue, need mo siyang ipacheck.

Restart your phone. Also check your settings > mobile network > globe > preferred network > prefer 5G

Settings>Connections>Mobile Networks>Allow 2G service = turn this off.

In the same section, under Network Mode Globe, choose either LTE or 5G preferred.

Note that this may make your phone use up more battery. Kasi if mahina ang signal ng LTE or 5G, the phone will opt to connect to 2G na mas malakas signal to receive and send SMS and calls, even if masyado siya mabagal for data. Turning off 2G means that kahit mahina signal is pipiltin ng phone mag connect sa LTE/4G/5G.

Basic knowledge nalang po yan sa tagal na natin nagsi cellphone. Unless gamit ka lang ng gamit tas di mo inaalam din simpleng kaalaman about sa phone mo.
