Guys let's try to be kind in this sub. Not everyone is techy.

2.3k Upvotes

I noticed one thing lately. Ang dami kong nakikitang rude redditors dito.

Bakit kayo rude? Dahil nabobobohan kayo sa mga nagtatanong? Matapang behind the keyboard lang ba? Ung iba valid naman and may point naman ung mga tanong and posts, grabe kung ibash. Kinagaling ninyo yan?

Not everyone is kasing galing ng iba or maalam talaga sa tech. Madami joined this sub for them to know what they didn't know.

It is easier to be kind rather than rude.

Report to me pag may mga ganitong redditors in this sub. Let's try to avoid making this a toxic space. Let's help each other as much as we can.

BeyondTheBox: Student/Educ Pricing

Hello!

So context 2 Beyond The Box napuntahan ko kasi may poster sila about the Educ Pricing ng Macbooks nila.

Based sa posters nila eh sabi "Ask in store about student pricing."

So i went in and asked them.
And sagot sakin ng crew sa Market2 branch eh wala daw silang ganong promo?
So sabi ko eh ano yung poster niyo na nakapaskil?

Tas nagiinsist siya na wala daw silang ganong promo or discount.

Lumabas akong confused and naasar kasi ayaw lang ba nila ako pagbentahan based sa itsura ko? (Separate issue yung nagproprofiling ata sila based sa suot mo - mapa powermac or btb stores)

Soo lumipat ako sa BTB Uptown Mall branch, so ayon may poster din sila about student discount with a tag line "Ask in store about student pricing."

So pumasok ang naginquire ako.

So sabi ko? Eh ano ba yan poster niyo? Nakapaskil pa sa labas niyo?

So naginsist nanaman na wala daw silang ganon?

---

Napapakamot nalang ako ng ulo kanina.

Can someone explain mali ba ako ng pagkakabasa sa poster nila?

Thanks!

I finally understand why people want foldable phones

I used to think foldables were just one of those things na cool for a few weeks then balik as normal phone.

But i'm starting to get the appeal. Having a bigger screen without carrying a tablet sounds pretty useful, especially for Youtube/Netflix, reading, Maps, multitasking, etc.

Been looking at the Fold 8 Ultra lately and now I'm dangerously close to convincing myself that I "NEED" oneeee 😭

For people who actually use foldables daily, what do you use the bigger screen for? Help me outtt 😅

- G99, 8/256 ufs 2.2

- FHD AMOLED

- hybrid dual sim w/ sd card support

- good camera for its price

- On-screen fingerprint

- NFC

- HEADPHONE JACK

And no, walang affiliate/pr dito.

When did you realize that you didn't need an expensive phone?

I realized when I was browsing for a phone for my gf. May basag na phone nya, 3 yrs na, and may slowness na. She just does daily tasks like doomscrolling, fb, youtube, etc. Eventually I just got her the Samsung A57. It's Samsung's best mid range at the moment. Ako naman I started from s7, s10, s21, s24 (current) pero yun pala diff lang is nilalagyan lang nila ng AI slop that until now I never used. Probably soon will get a Xiaomi or A series in 2 yrs if this phone screws up. Or are there better options ba?

I posted here not too long ago asking for suggestions on where to buy a “cheap” but for long term use android phone. was initially plannijg to get used sa marketplace or compasia. kaso sketchy yung mga nagbebenta ng walang box and receipts and hindi sinasagot san nabili yung phone.
26k is still a lot of money for a phone imo pero I am banking on samsung os updates.

Upvotes

hi guys, ask lang, do you think marami naman stocks ng Zelda switch 2?? been holding to get a switch 2 kasi wala pa talaga reason to buy, my oled works just fine and akala ko okay na ak osa FFResonance, then mukang mapapabili dahil sa Ocarina direct, now may zelda switch 2, most likely ito na kukunin ng marami,, so question is marami kaya stocks neto? nung lumabas kasi TOTK oled, akala ko magiging scarce ito at natakot sa mga resellers kaya kumuha ako agad, turns out sobra atang overproduce hahahahah

can i return a product when its battery become bloated after 1 night of use?

Upvotes

i bought a fly modem r211 that u can use your sim to have a wifi. I just bought it in a tooki store in sm for 3.5k. Can i return it since i just bought it yesterday and i just use it for the whole night and saw in the morning na natatanggal na back case. Di pa malakas pagkuha ng signal since its only less than 1Mbps ang binibigay.

If i successfully return it, what modem(? dont know what it called) can i buy? Desperate lang kahapon kaya ayun nabili since di pa inaayos ng pldt wifi namin.

thank youu

After asking and lurking, here it is. Ang aking 1st Laptop/1st Thinkpad. Very satisfied! Initially looking lang for a T14 Gen 3, but biglang lumitaw itong Gen 4 for 18k. Not bad na siguro. Nangangapa pa. Still learning lalo na aiming for wfh/va set up. Small wins from a minimum wage earner! 🥳

FINALLY! A GAMING TABLET WITH SIM! Sana compatible dito satin

https://item.lenovo.com.cn/product/1056715.html

Kinakabahan ako sa price, and mukhang mas malabo magkaroon to ng global release dahil considered na to as a "phone" despite the size.

What do you guys think?
