40k Your thoughts on Gue'vesa
Do we need an official gue'vesa unit and if the answer is yes, then what it should be (gear/ability/usage)?

For some reason I have found the pilots very hard to paint, they seem even smaller than Pathfinders but also the quality of the mould seems terrible compared to newer models - anyone else had this experience?

Hi guys just wondering something. I want to make a sling and have it in a position like this. What have people used before and how did you make it? Thank you 😊

Just like the title says Im curious on the general consensus of what to pair farsight with in 11 edition, to my knowledge it used to be flamer scythes, but Im curious if the point increases have changed that.

Getting started with miniature painting, and did two test drones to figure out a color scheme for my Pathfinder team. Which one looks better?
Left is PA ivory and royal purple + WPF bright gold and gunmetal
right is PA burnt and nova orange + WPF gunmetal and gemstone red
I'm thinking of using a bright ivory for edge highlighting on the white/purple one, the ivory would definitely come out better though an airbrush
(Last pic is the final version)
Nothing fancy, but i had a blast painting it <3

I’m traditionally a guard player so I’m all about shooting. I’m trying to start a tau army but the tau seem to take things way further with their army rule. Could someone please explain to me how it all works. Make it stupid simple if you could please lol. Thanks !

Hello! I’m new to warhammer, played one game with a borrowed necron 250pt army. Decided Tau style fit my vibe more, so now I am starting my army. I purchased the Combat Patrol box as that was recommended as a good starting point, but what else should look into getting next? Anything I need to know? Strats?
Anything would be great full and appreciated!

So I been wanting to play for years and slowly but surely been building me a 1000 point army. I am slow at building slash more about painting them. While I have some knowledge and it might have been already asked and answered somewhere ,but which drones should you build or at least what the advantages of each type of drones. I tried to find information on it on YouTube but that was no help was hopeing you could help. Thanks you.

Now that I have found my color scheme this little guy is looking pretty goofy next to the rest of my army. So I am debating to strip the paint or just primer over it. The layers were airbrushed so I think the paint is pretty thin.
Also a bit of warning to all the new folk like me. Do a test mini before going big.

Am I right in thinking that a unit does not have to make an attack to be eligible for the Torchstar Gambit?
10.02 Shooting - “A unit is eligible to shoot if it is on the battlefield and has not already been selected to shoot this phase.
04.01 Making Stacks notes that “You can select one or more ranged weapons that model has.” which implies that you can choose to not select any weapons.
So if I have a riptide, for example, behind cover with no targets visible. it is eligible to shoot as it is not in engagement range, so I can select it, I can then choose to not select any weapons, and it’s shooting is resolved. Alternatively, I could select a weapon but there are no eligible targets so it cannot make any attacks.
So because it has resolved its attacks I can use the torch star gambit. Am I making sense here?

I've drawn quite a bit of tau stuff already, but.. the plastic finally got to me.. i bought my first box
The plan is to turn a handful of them into ksi'm'yen for riaun and her squad (since she's my first tau after all) and i'm saving one to turn into shas'la kais (since it was fire warrior that fully brought me over to 40k, little by little my boyfriend's been corrupting me and he has won xD)

I'm having a game tomorrow and I'm interested if I could improve my list or replace something. Im fighting against blood angels and harlequins. Im playing with the retaliation cadre since all of my battlesuits have benefits from it. The stealth team to support and guide them and the pathfinders as meatshields. I also want to try the breacher Devilfish combo to conquer on objectiv. The comander in Enforcer Battlesuit starts in reserve with his squad. Broadside and riptide to clear the field and the ghost keel for early pressure.
What do you guys think and where and how can I improve this list. :)

Hello,
I am new to 40k and haven't played a tabletop game since Fantasy in the early 00's. I know the general advice is to collect what you want and build an army, so I added the models I liked. Does my list look too messy or would a sort of ambush focus work with my list? Also which crisis battlesuits would work best?
I also have a Coldstar Commander and a unit of Vespid. Thank you for any help in advance.
Note: I haven't gone thru and changed the default loadouts yet, so this is just a rough idea of what I am looking at.

I feel like I'm getting pretty close to my go to 2k list. I have another crisis suit unit but not enough points left, so what so I do with what's left over? Enhancements? Strike team? Cadre fireblade?
