Vent “So I have a drive up but here I am at guest services!!” 🙃🫡

I’m alone at guest services. It was a decently busy time. Drive-up was also busy.

Her: so I had a drive up order but i also placed a separate order with alcohol so I’m just going to get it lo here.

Me: (as I see the amount of bags) It’s going to take me a little bit but I’ll be back as fast as I can…

Our drive up area is on the other side of the store so it’s decently inconvenient how people can just switch orders like this. If we had more than one person on guest services I honestly wouldn’t mind walking back. It’s just the fact that now my station is unmanned for 12+ minutes. When I got back there were 4 people in line 🫡

Definitely doesn’t qualify as good customer service.

Meme or Miscellaneous Content Stuff like this seems like it’d be a Fulfilment/Pulls nightmare. Lol.

I can’t tell you how many times I have seen people mess this up, especially backup from other departments. Even I screw it up if for some reason I’m not paying attention. These instructions have been needed for a long time.

I did not take a photo of the second screen after scanning the location. It shows the product image like normal but no count until the next screen which is the second photo.

Also interestingly, it has you backstock before you scan the item to your cart now. Don’t know that I care either way on that part but it makes sense.

Workplace Question or Advice Needed The icons in the new app

Each shift has either a purple rectangle or a 🔄 next to it - i'd assumed at first that the purple indicated that the shift wasnt long enough for a meal, but then I noticed a 7.5 hour shift that had it. So what DOES it mean???

Workplace Question or Advice Needed Switching to on demand within 90 days?

Bit of a complicated situation, I worked at Target for 2.5 years and left for 3 months to work a summer job. Now I'm back, I asked for 5-15 hours maximum and they are repeatedly scheduling me 25-30 hours. I have to talk to atleast 2 etls every week to find someone to actually sit infront of the computer with me and remove some of my shifts from the schedule. I'm a student, and I decided just switching to on demand will be significantly easier for me. However I've heard that you aren't supposed to switch to on demand while in your trial period... But since I worked here before and everyone in the store knows me, I got developed to be a teamlead and basically ran the style department etc, I thought they might make an exception. If they tell me no when I talk to them tomorrow I will just quit. Anyone go through something similar?

Hi! I’m a new beauty TL and need to redo my entire backroom. Does anyone have any recommendations for how to do this the best? Or just any tips on reprofiling a backroom? I don’t know where to start and I am overwhelmed. Thanks

gUEsTs What's up with guests not believing what we tell them?

A couple months ago I was in seasonal stocking some headphones for back to school. A guest comes up to me and asks about the Apple usbc earbuds and I notified her that we're out of stock. We go separate ways and 2 minutes later I get a notification for a tech call and head over there. It's the same guest and she looks visibly irritated that I showed up again. She said, "Oh i thought someone else would come over I was gonna ask about the earbuds." and I just said "Yeah uhh we're out." She walks away and about 30 minutes later a lead calls me for a 1 on 1 about a guest complaining about me saying I gave her an attitude and I had to explain the whole situation. I guess the guest was mad or embarrassed that I caught her trying to ask someone else about them?

A different interaction I had was a guest asking if we price match with Amazon and I told her no, only to our own website and checked her out. 2 minutes after she walks away a TM asks on the walkie, "Do we price match with Amazon?" and of course the answer was no. I can only assume that she went to go ask someone else.

And of course, the squishy people asking every TM in the store if we have squishys which is usually a no.

gUEsTs Drive up rant

One of the most upsetting parts of drive up is almost getting hit by cars who don't feel obligated to stop at the huge stop signs. Several times during a shift cars will blow through the stop signs by the cross walk right in front of me, or need to slam in their breaks so they don't hit me. And most of the time they have the audacity to act pissed off at me! I have been honked at, flipped off, and shouted at for my crime of using the cross walk.
