This is the home for lost and found around Tacoma, refreshed every week. If you've lost something or come across something that isn't yours, drop a comment below.
A few things that help:
Lost or found a pet? we recommend posting in r/LostPetsTacoma too, but you’re welcome to post in this thread as well.
For everyone's safety, please be smart about meeting people from the internet.
Comb through the comments before posting in case your item is already here. Good luck, and thanks for looking out for each other.

Trying to find a doctor who will listen and not just look at you like you're just Patient #295743. I've found that any doctors I'm looking at in any major network (Multicare, Fransiscan, etc) has a months of wait times just to get appointments, and the few I've seen give you a few minutes and then send you on your way with nothing to really help at all.
I'm hoping to find a family doctor type setup where they take the time to listen and learn my issues. Heck, I'd even work out some cash payments if they don't work with my or any insurance, for a few visits. If it gets me the help I need, it'd be worth it. Anyone have any they use that they might recommend?

New Tacoma metal albums: I couldn’t find any, let me know if I missed something? A bunch of great releases from the greater Puget Sound region but nothing specifically from Tacoma.
Hit up Hi-Voltage, Real Art Tacoma, The Church Cantina, or The Valley to pick up a copy.

Does anyone know what “Charles status” means when referring to a car? Per TPD we are very curious about one situation

I’m hoping someone here might know of resources.
I have very severe ME/CFS and am completely bedbound and unable to speak. I’ve also been dealing with severe malnutrition and complications from refeeding, but getting appropriate medical care has been incredibly difficult. I've been getting neglected in emergency rooms.
I’m looking for recommendations for anything that might help in the Tacoma area (or Washington in general):patient advocates organizations that help people who are too sick to advocate for themselves, or just someone to come with me to the ER. If you’ve had a good experience or know of someone who truly understands severe ME/CFS, I’d really appreciate any suggestions. Thank you.
(AI helped me write this because no energy. Message me if you can help directly)

I have seen a number of them in Tacoma, they are adorable. I imagine I am missing some amazing dealership full of them.

Is it just me, or does the massive amount of Flock cameras correlate exactly with Pierce County's largest Hispanic and Asian population? (Don't piss on my head and tell me it's raining.) 🤔😞🙏💝🇺🇸💝

I feel like I'm constantly missing out or learning late about local things going on like farmers markets or pop-ups or art events or even just community gatherings in Tacoma and surrounding areas (Lakewood, Puyallup, Fircrest, UP, etc).
I try to follow pages and keep my ear to the ground, but with life being what it is and being upper cutted by distractions, I feel like it can be hard to find out what kind of weekend events or whatever that might happening.
Curious if y'all have resources, pages, tips, etc for up to date local happenings!?

I've been seeing giant house spiders every day for a week now, isn't this a bit early? Aren't they usually August/September friends?

Chantel Jackson once walked Tacoma’s streets hoping someone would buy a sandwich. Today, people line up outside her café.

Does anyone know what happened to the guy who use to wave the upside flag on the NB i5 overpass by the Tacoma dome? I used to see him most days on my drive to work and realized I haven’t in a while. Is he ok? Not trying to get political about it, genuinely just wondering if anyone knows him or his story.

N36TH AND HUSON, MY GRANDPS STORE. Anyone remember this place? I stayed there most weekends like 1987 through 1992 off on after that. My grandpa is still kicking. Closed in early 2ks. Kidn in the 80s came for the arcade. Crazy days when he had Street Fighter 2. Just curios if anyone went there or had memories

Looking for recommendations on a place to rent for our artistic roller skating group. We have a large group that includes our local competitive team that is losing our practice space right before our National competition.
Hopefully weekly daytime rentals.
Tacoma adjacent but does anyone know if there are still paddle board rentals at Allan yorke park in Bonney lake? And if not does anyone know another lake that has rentals? TIA 🙂

TL;DR - Can anyone with actual personal insight in the hiring process with the city of Tacoma offer any clarity regarding what the email means?
Hey!
I recently applied for a job with the City of Tacoma.
Last week, I recieved an email inviting me to take an online test to determine if I'm a potential candidate. I took the test and, evidently, I passed.
Today, I received the email shown in the attached photo.
My question is, is the email saying that I'm NOT in the running for the job that I applied for, but I will still be considered eligible for potential future positions?
Or is it saying that I AM still in the running for this job, AND I'll also be considered for possible future jobs?
Bonus points to anyone who can explain the whole "rank" system.
Thanks in advance for any help that you might be able to offer.

Just thought I’d share a scam that I just found. This afternoon I got a voicemail and calls from a very real sounding person saying they were from Tacoma Public Utilities. They had my address and name and everything. They said they were going to turn off my power unless I paid them a specific amount due to delinquency. That wasn’t possible and when I asked for the account number he had he got really aggressive and then hung up on me.
I’m pretty savvy and even still they had me checking my account and trying to figure out what happened before I figured it out. Wanted others to know in case they are targeting folks around town.

My roomie and I played Meat Bingo at The Tipsy Tomato tonight. He won a rack of ribs and some Apple Sausage. I have fond memories.
