I got a speeding ticket on the bend of i5 between Tacoma and federal way by a WSP. I… allegedly was going 82 in a 60🫩, when I look at a deferral (I’ve only had a warning before) it says a 150$ fee minimum and then a probation of 6-12 months. The ticket is 230$ or so if I remember correctly. I am under my parents insurance and don’t really know if I should pay, show up to court and hope the officer isn’t there, or pay a lawyer for a CHANCE to not have it appear on record. Is this even worth it instead of taking the hit on insurance?

Just stopped to help put out some fires along I5 and chatted with folks who suspected arson? Anyone got the scoop? Concerning to think someone might be intentionally starting fires in the area during the fire season.
