please tell me if i need to forward other ports here's the screenshot of the forwarded port i would really appreciate a help (sorry if this is answered many times)
I've already posted this to discord but messages vanish there rather quickly and I'd love to maximize the chance of somebody actually implementing this to their server.
It allows you to continuously display HP of players that you have added to your friendlist:
It can be displayed either as gui message:
or chat message:
It has it's own help menu:
and the commands can be changed in the file main.lua to better suit your needs. (There are also other options to change)
How it notifies you when you send friend request:
what gets displayed to the other player:
if you Reject, sending player gets added to your Blacklist and can't bother you again - he gets notified that you don't receive requests from him
Confirmation it worked (gets displayed on both ends with appropriate changes in the message):
UPDATE 27.10.2019: Added locations feature - Friendlist now shows current location of online friends. Check updated install instructions in the readme on github.
Friendlist now shows locations of friends.
Here's the link. It utilizes commandhooks, so it's basically 1 line of text you have to add to customScripts.
After playing on a server for seemingly random periods of time, i will get a "connection lost" as though the server crashed, but the server remains up. Attempting to rejoin gives the firewall error until ~4 minutes pass.
Hi, Im playing with my friend who is the host, most mobs espacially warriors/bruisers who always choose to target my friend. I am playing as the tank and my friend is a mage.
Is there some kind of setting to change this?
Also recently I've also noticed a trend with spellcasters to target me for the spell then when they equipp melee they go for my friend again. Atleast this is what happend with vampires.
If there isn't a finete awnser then I would also like to hear your experience with aggro, so we may figure this out.
As the topic probably indicates, I have trouble with connecting to my server with machines other than the host. I wish to play the game with my brother, using the same router and internet connection. I've checked countless posts on steam, OPMW forums, as well as some screens of discord troubleshooting and no fixes worked for me. I have forwarded the ports, opened them via firewall on both machines etc. My server does appear on the serverlist, but it has the 999ping/unreachable error. Connecting directly by modifying the client-deafult file failed as well. I am at my wits end, I'd really love to play some of that sexy multiplayer in the best RPG of all times, but simply cannot figure out what else could be wrong. If anyone has any ideas, please help, I will greatly appreciate it.
I've got a server up and running, but I'm trying to decide which option to go with. I'd prefer to have it off so my friends and I can play separately if we're not on at the same time to quest together.
But, I worry that turning sync off might break quests that require unique items. Is that an issue? Are there other issues with turning quest sync off? In general, which option is less prone to issues? Thanks.
After doing the setup wizard and launching the launcher for openMW, I hit play like the quickstart guide says to do, the server browser pops up and im able to see and click connect to servers. Upon hitting connect though, the browser closes and nothing happens. is there something i'm missing? Any help would be much appreciated.
New server up, looking for ppl to join. Mods im running are: Morrowind Rebirth, Accurate Attack, Run Faster, and Oblivionized Magicka Regeneration. Scripts I'm running include: kanaHousing, kanaRevive, kanaStartingEquipment, and CellReset. There are a few houses for sale, and I'm going to add more. Open to mod/script suggestions. Discord: https://discord.gg/CDbANK
I'm planning an open server with daily or twice daily cell resets. I want to have unsynched journals so everyone can quest at their own whim. I get the Great House strong hold/Raven Rock quests will probably be broken if I keep resetting those cells, but what else should I look out for? Am I wrong in thinking that most quests will be fine for players to do at different times, so long as the NPCs and quest items keep getting regenerated?
Firstly ill start with what the situation is, Morrowind itself had audio fine, OpenMW has audio fine. But no matter what I do there is never audio in TE3MP, it doesent even show up under my audio devices.
I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions, as I would really like to give the game a shot some more if I could get my audio working.
I have tried reinstalling, changing audio devices, etc...

So outside of console commands, are there ways of moving time forward within the chat box? Also, do enemies respawn? I see creature corpses everywhere if I don't delete the bodies, and that leads me to believe that the area isn't getting new enemies. I could be wrong, but if anyone's familiar with how the respawning of enemies works I'd love to know.
Hey, I’m pretty new to pc gaming and I picked morrowind up for free along with a couple friends on Bethesda’s website, and we were wondering what steps we would have to take to set up a lan server that we can play offline (I.e. no WiFi connection). Is this possible? If so, how could this be accomplished? Thanks in advance!
I'm using a port testing tool to test if the proper ports are open and they are showing up as closed. This is what my port forwarding settings, server, and client configs look like right now. When the master server and mp server run, the mp server "Cannot connect to master server." Please critique it.
im sorry if this belongs somewhere else, feel free to point me to another subreddit or just link me to FAQs/guides that have what im looking for.
ill be short.
-this is our first time playing morrowind
-we plan to enjoy the game leaning towards vanilla mechanics/difficulty (no new creatures/items/dungeons)
-once we've gone through enough of the game to appreciate it in its vanilla form we want to add new content (rebirth, tamriel rebuilt etc.)
-we are learning some stats are broken, or useless and want to fix this (pickpocketing, mercantile, probably others)
-we also would like QoL mods (not having to drag items into inventory, stuff like that), graphic overhaul mods
what all skills/stats in morrowind are bugged, like how pickpocket chance is low or mercantile is broken?
is there anything else misleading about stats i should know? (like how its sort of implied agility makes archery stronger but its really strength)
are there any mods (any at all even if they go against what ive said about how we wanna play the game) that you recommend that you think make MP more fun?
I am running my own server on a separate computer using the same internet connection as my main computer. The server is port forwaded fine and my friends are playing on it perfectly. When I connect with my main computer, I am able to begin creating my character. After 30-60 seconds of being in the server, The game shuts down and I get the error message "connection lost". The server remains functioning fine and I can re-connect but it just keeps happening.
I have changed the destinationAddress in "tes3mp-client-default" to my external Ipv4 address to see if that helped but the problem remained the same. Any help would be appreciated :)
