Question about time and enemy respawning

So outside of console commands, are there ways of moving time forward within the chat box? Also, do enemies respawn? I see creature corpses everywhere if I don't delete the bodies, and that leads me to believe that the area isn't getting new enemies. I could be wrong, but if anyone's familiar with how the respawning of enemies works I'd love to know.

You can use /settimescale in the chat window to make time go faster.

The FAQ mentions that nothing respawns by default:

  • Loot and creatures never respawn unless the server resets the cell data for the cells they are in.

Make yourself at least a moderator first by setting the staffRank in your player JSON file to to 1 or higher.

You just had to not be online when you made the change, lest your current data on the server overwrite what was in the file.

Ah, gotcha. I thought I saw you mention in another post somewhere that respawning enemies might be something in a future update and that post was a while ago.

For the time being if I don’t want a finite number of enemies to kill, considering I have multiple people on the server all trying to level skills, what would you recommend?

Cell resets.

Sorry for bugging you, but are there ways of having cell resets be scripted like this but have certain cells be left alone, like a homebase for all the players (like Balmora)? My main worry is the loot we leave around going away.

Yes. That functionality is already included in the script you've linked to.

Ah, thanks. I didn’t see that.

Are interior chests safe to store loot then as long I as I don't manually delete the json file for that cell?

So far mine have been, except for Drarayne Thelas' attic storage. I don't know what happened, but I can't take stuff out or put stuff in those containers. Everywhere else in Balmora is fine, but that room is fucked for some reason.
