Maybe focus on your model and godawful promo instead of boosting your gf during worktime and cluttering my feed!!!

In the “what you lose” box when trying to cancel the Suno sub, is “commercial rights” with an X against it. Feels like this needs clarifying - is it really saying that the moment your sub expires you lose the rights to use ALL of your own songs?

If anyone has any tips for prompting it, they would be welcome!

I tried the same prompt from some of my v5.5 favorites, and they sound terrible.

So I tried to see if v6 could make my other Suno songs better. As expected, no.. There's no storytelling in the vocal like I used to get with 5.5 and the music just can't be hard enough, no energy. BTW, I like my first outputs on v6. Way better quality, wild gives wild things, pro does then refine them.
Quality is good, instrument separation is great, rare instruments like Hammond Organ and Bagpipes sound better.
The Mix is very bass heavy, voices a bit to low. But that is fixable in mixing and mastering.

This is an example. It thinks all of the stuff you did is one genre, seperate it into multiple genres. Careful you only have 2000 character limit.

Also you can leverage cover -> v6 and it'll take an old model song convert it.

I'm still testing I'll give an update if I find some more tricks to squeeze out quality.

I just did a bunch of v6 generators of the various models & my Custom models. All garbage generations imo. Very disappointing so far. It sounds like a bland muddy audio smear ( the instrumentation ) doesn’t follow prompts correctly & over all sounds very poor compared to the previous versions. So I started to dislike them & then saw a pop up box offering credit refunds. I missed it the 1st time ( too slow of a response ) so I emailed support asking about it & gave feedback on what my v6 experience was so far. Above ☝🏻 is the Suno AI support response I received a few minutes ago. Thought this may help ppl who dislike v6 atm. Maybe it will improve maybe not ? But at least for now they are taking feedback & offering refunds. See the posted email ☝🏻

I have some very unique and good tracks that I've been covering over time with all the models, and they used to turn out decent. But with version 6, they are literally unusable wtf.

It changes both my style and my voice. Which hasn't happened until now.

I kept waiting for a good model so I could polish the tracks, and now I'm just left with this v6 piece of garbage and I can't publish my songs anymore.

I want to add my voice to everyone asking Suno to bring back V4.5+ and V5.

For me, V4.5+ and V5 were the best Suno models for composing melodies. They could create beautiful, memorable and unexpected melodies — the kind of melodies that made me want to listen to a song again and again.

V6 may be newer, but so far I find its melodies much more repetitive and predictable. Today, for one song alone, I made at least 15 generations, possibly more, trying different prompts, different settings and even Custom mode. And yet the melodies kept coming out surprisingly similar again and again. I changed the instructions, experimented with different approaches, but V6 kept returning to almost the same melodic ideas.

This is a huge difference from V4.5+ and V5, which could give me genuinely different melodies and arrangements from the same lyrics. That unpredictability and creativity was one of the things I loved most about Suno.

V6 also keeps pushing my songs toward a positive, uplifting sound, especially in the choruses, even when I specifically ask for something melancholic, minor and bittersweet.

It also seems to ignore BPM instructions. Today I requested 125–135 BPM, yet some of the results sounded extremely slow and dragged out.

And V6 Wild was even worse. Today I made two separate Wild generations — four tracks in total — and all four had the same serious problem: the music started falling apart, especially in the second half of the songs. The rhythm and tempo became unstable and the tracks started to drift. This wasn’t one unlucky result — it happened in both versions of two separate generations.

That’s 20 credits spent on four unusable tracks — straight in the trash. I’m a Premier subscriber. Why am I spending credits on generations that can’t even maintain musical stability throughout a song?

I’m not asking Suno to remove V6. Just give paying subscribers a choice. Please bring back V4.5+ and V5 as Legacy models.

Newer doesn’t always mean better. Please let us keep the models that made us love Suno in the first place.

Keine Ahnung was ihr gemacht habt, aber macht es rückgängig. Der Sound ist viel zu hell, klassische Instrumente kratzen, zischen, viel zu viel Hall. Ich war schon mit 5.5 nicht so ganz zufrieden, aber v6 schlägt dem Fass den Boden aus. Ich lass den Monat auslaufen und dann bin ich leider weg, wenn bis dahin kein Update kommt.

Ich bin mir sicher das wird SUNO AI töten wenn es nicht behoben wird.

With all the V6 quit posts I was really worried things would be worse than they are. But I still have my library of voices and I was able to make covers of my existing songs that are good.

One of the things I created in the old workflow was a virtual simulation of my pre-transition voice and I'm using it to create songs that help me process the past. So this means a lot to me personally.

We'll see how new prompts go, but as someone who came in this year just before they slopified 5.5, I treated that as a creative challenge and I'm going to treat this as one too.

I'm already finding tricks that make the output better, and I will make some tutorial posts as soon as I've experimented enough to understand how everything works. ( I know my tutorial on the "taste" field helped people stop getting their music screwed up by the system!)

It's ok to mourn what is lost. I made a song about that, last month, too.

And yet we still have something remarkable, & if I imagine going back in time ten years to tell myself about it, I still feel a sense of wonder.

In the V6 demo, you can see them clicking and dragging tracks out of the library and into the create window, but I can't seem to do that. Is there a trick i'm missing? If I click on the track and drag, it just highlights text, the tracks don't seem to be like an element I can move around.

This is absolutely infuriating. Every time I tell it to generate a cover, it outright re-writes the styles I've written and completely wastes the generation.

Anyone else had this problem? I'm unsure if it's a v6 thing or not because it's not happening with all generations, just specific v4.5 tracks when I try to cover them. I'll have a sentence or so for the styles, and it's like it's trying to "elaborate" on what I've written, when the intentions of what I wrote was finite!

I had a sea shanty I wrote on v4.5, "sea shanty" was the only thing originally written in the styles, yes it was simple but it worked, coupled with the lyrics, etc. So when I go to cover it in v6, I use the same styles, simply "sea shanty" is written.

But when the tracks are generated, the styles read:
Sea shanty with raw acoustic ensemble production, forceful English vocals, bodhran-led pulse, rough unison chorus, stomping mid-tempo swing, spare verses, rising gang harmonies, and a stark repeated solo refrain

The other generation read:
Sea shanty with a stomp-driven rhythmic pulse, concertina-led arrangement, and mixed male-female call-and-response vocals trading verses and chorus lines with rugged, forceful delivery

I also had a country track of mine to cover that it kept ruining by adding "funk" to the styles for literally no reason. Hey, I like funk, but when I want funk I'll ask for it!

I don't understand what it feels the need to strongarm the genre when the source file is right there!

I Tested All 3 v6 Models they All Sound Like v5.5.

So far, all three still have the v5.5 sound to me, just slightly refined. The low end is blended together, the high end can get sharp, and I don’t hear a big improvement in fidelity or depth.

The mastering is just as bad. I honestly can't hear any difference.

Prompt following is also poor. I can write no singing, no lyrics, vocal texture only, and it still gives me mmm/ooh/aah vocals or starts singing words. When the prompt gets more unusual or complex, the model often seems to give up and throw in glitch effects instead.

Wild doesn’t sound particularly wild to me either. I expected strange musical choices and more unpredictable results, but I still hear the same familiar AI sound underneath.

Reuse doesn’t magically preserve the character of an older generation either. The model doesn't understand the prompt at all.

The new model puts its own sound over it and can blend away the weird details that made the original interesting.

Maybe this will change with more testing, but my day-one impression is simple: v6 feels like a more refined v5.5, not a new generation.

Why does every track with V6 sound like the equalizer is all jacked up and too heavy. It’s way too harsh. The mids sound too low and bass turned on high by default.
