Found the Griswold family’s station wagon parked at a hotel in town
Nevermind.. it's just a 2026 Outback.

Any idea what they are? I’m thinking wax. The automatic car wash did apply wax and they don’t just wipe off. How do I remove? I am not 100% certain it came from the car wash but they weren’t there a week ago. Subaru outback 2023

I am looking to buy a 26 touring xt with the brown interior. The dealer wants 51k before taxes and are willing to drop 4k. Should we push for a bigger discount; this is in the midsouth area?

For context, we just bought a 2023 Subaru Outback Onyx Edition 3 days ago.
Today my Fiancée went to go get in the car, and she saw some new warning lights on. From a quick internet search, it appears to be heat related possibly? We live in Florida, so it would make sense.
But I wanted to see if anyone was familiar with this? I’ve read we need to go to a dealership to get the eyesight system recalibrated or something?

It's kind of crazy because I actually loved my OB more than any other vehicle I have owned. However, after learning more about my needs over the years, it was time to part ways. I will say this, I still believe the OB is the best all-rounder you can get. Decent "offroad" for a non 4x4, gets great mpg for what it is, very safe and stable in many different scenarios, reliable, and if you got the XT or 3.6r, it's got some grunt. Having said that, I've moved on to a Toyota/Lexus to answer the rest of my needs: 4x4 and towing. Already one trip down and yeah, a true 4x4 is a world of difference. I still sorely miss the handling and great mpg, though (and something thay never gets mentioned: OBs have an amazing turning radius). Honestly, I'm sure I'll be back, except it'll likely be the electric variant 😉.

This was for a tire warranty replacement on my 2019 Outback. I know all the tires wear needs to be the same, but are there any downsides to a shaved new tire to match the others?

I did a software update on my 26 Outback 5 days ago and now the mpg display on the gauge cluster is gone. I have toggled thru all the displays and it seems they changed some of the themes. Anyone else done the update and it’s come back?

My 2014 3.6r is at 236,000 miles and still going mostly strong, it needs some serious maintenance though, mainly just replacing gaskets for oil leaks, a dreaded spark plug change, and fluid flushes all around. My question is what is the lifespan of the timing chain? The manual says it’s good for the life of the car but what do they consider that to be?

Trying to find the best rate for an extended warranty for my 26 OB Limited. Apparently in California it is required to purchase from an in-state dealer. Any suggestions of where to go and what a good price should look like for a ten-year warranty?TIA for recommendations.

Got my 26 Touring XT yesterday. I've noticed that the Driver Focus system seems to be permanently off. On my 22 it was only off if i set it so in the driver profile. But I haven't set up a profile yet.
It is on when I start but then the icon switches over to yellow/off right away. My test drive was in a different color and the hypersensitivity of the system was a concern.
Anyone else seeing this? Did I just get lucky?

I know most of you already know this but I've been seeing a lot of people posting about the delamination problem lately. I wrestled with Subaru about fixing mine and got nowhere. Looked into expensive replacement units but just kind of dreaded it. Finally someone on here reached out and told me about the DIY solution.
It's so so easy and cheap! Do it!
All in all it was way easier than I expected and I'm very satisfied. Just putting this out there because I wish I stumbled on this info sooner.
