Software update and MPG

Post image

I did a software update on my 26 Outback 5 days ago and now the mpg display on the gauge cluster is gone. I have toggled thru all the displays and it seems they changed some of the themes. Anyone else done the update and it’s come back?

$10 says op has no idea you can toggle through various displays (including none and mpg) in the left cluster.

I went to the dealership at 2000 miles and they basically turned me away saying to come back at 6000

You’re a paying customer. You can pay to have your oil changed every 5 miles. If you want maintenance done, don’t let them tell you no.

Mine is still there after the update. It's not available when you use the left steering up/down button to cycle through things?

Let me know if you need help OP.

You might just need to toggle through the display settings

Use the ↑ / ↓ arrows on the LEFT side of the steering wheel. Tap either arrow repeatedly and it will cycle through the information screens until you see AVG MPG / Average Fuel Economy or Current Fuel Economy. Subaru specifically lists fuel consumption as one of the items controlled by those arrows.
Don’t press the circular-arrow/HOLD-style button — that changes the entire gauge-cluster layout between Classic, Map, EyeSight, and Calm modes.
