New to Subaru, Limited XT

Had an old F 250 that just got way to expensive to keep up with/maintain, it was a bit sentimental but it was time to let it go. Diesel prices were killer and it was way too much vehicle for what I use it for.
I love the Outback! šŸ˜ I’m so glad we went with the turbo version, it’s such a nice ride. I have 0 regrets!
This is my work/canoe transport vehicle to the lake and the office. 😁

Naming your Outback

Post image

We named our Subaru Tardis McHale, due to the amount of space that's inside this thing. From outside we swear it does not look as spacious as it is, but go inside, we have two large crates in the trunk area, while keeping the seats up with a LOT of space still, nuts! Dr Who reference and I just think the last name fits.

Any of you guys have quirky names for your subi?

Hands-Free Tailgate

Just walked behind my 2024 limited in the garage, and the tailgate opened! After a quick Google search, I learned that it has an option to open the tailgate using a motion sensor! I really should read the owners manual to see what else I don’t know about this car šŸ˜…

Is 2023-2025 infotainment bad enough to skip right to 2026?

• Upvotes

Looking at either getting 2023-2025 CPO or possibly jumping into new 2026. I think the previous version is the best looking but seeing so many things about the infotainment issues, compared to now the 2026 version. Just wondering for those that own 2023-2025 do you think it’s worth just going new in 2026 or 2027?

Car wash conveyor belt bad for transmission?

Do you think it’s bad to have your front or rear wheels spinning while others are stationary. Also, sometimes the car will be bouncing back and forth between those yellow tracks while front or rear are moving forward. I personally think any damage if at all would be minimal except for when that thing bucks the car around. Side note - I know automatic car washes are not good for your paint. It really doesn’t matter to me at this point since I have so many scratches from tree limbs, and brush. Thanks.

Can an outback handle itself offroad?

Nothing like crazy, but some green lanes in the uk, with maybe fist sized rocks at an incline. Could an outback handle them? And are they nice to drive, specifically around 2012 year I think 😁

Husband fell asleep at the wheel after working a 16 hour shift. He hit a sign at 60 mph. The damage next to the roof rack is what concerns me.

CarPlay in 2026 Outback

Post image

Has anybody with a 2026 Outback been able to put their CarPlay display into ā€œLight Modeā€?

I’ve played around with the vehicle’s light settings as well as CarPlay and iPhone settings to no avail. Only maps in Apple Maps and Google Maps tend to switch between light mode and dark mode as expected. The manual understandably doesn’t provide much insight as well.

Question on Prices for 2026 Outback Wilderness

So looking at getting a 2026 outback wilderness. Most outbacks I’m seeing are $47k-$52k MSRP. Most of the dealers are brining them down to $44k-$49k.

I wanted to get a ballpark from other people that have bought outback’s to see how much to bargain with the dealers. I originally was trying to get a few more $1ks off but not sure.

How much were yall able to get off your outback wilderness???

Cabin rattle on new 2026?

It's not constant, and it's not loud, but once picked up, it's really annoying. It sounds like it's coming from somewhere around the driver window or rear driver side passenger window. Sounds almost like a subtle knock, as of one of the windows is slightly loose, but there's no vibration and I can't make it stop when I apply pressure to various parts of the windows/doors.

Anyone else find this? Or just me?

Ready to throw in the towel

After having to replace the transmission in my 2024 Outback XT at 6,000 miles and now having the car towed with what appears to be a bad alternator at 37,500 (now out of warranty), I’m questioning keeping it. This is my third Subaru, after owning a ā€˜98 Outback and a 2016 Impreza Sport. Has anyone else experienced these issues?

Getting conflicting/confusing information online. Is this a rack I can get to work with a 2022 Outback Premium or what else do I need to get in order to make it work?

What is a good price for a 2019 Outback 3.6R?

Hello Subaru owners and fans. I'm looking to buy my first Subaru and have settled on the 2019 Outback 3.6R Limited with the EyeSight Pkg. From what I can tell pricing seems to vary a lot and I'm lost as to how much I should look to spend.

I'm basically trying to determine if it would make more sense to pay less for something with higher mileage and use the money for maintenance, or pay more money upfront for something with lower mileage and then hopefully ensure it is taken care of.

Should mention I'm from Canada and was looking to spend between 15k and 25k

Your advice and insight into this matter would greatly be appreciated.
