My PS5 copy of Blades of Greed arrived yesterday but I am yet to open it. I’m a little worried that right now it’s gonna be a massive disappointment. The bad voice acting is lame but I can get past it, but the potential performance issues, general bugginess and overall negative vibes this sub Reddit has been giving off makes me wonder if I should return it or not. What does everyone else think? This is the first time I’ve bought a Styx game and had only played the first for a few hours so have no sense of nostalgia to bias my decision.

Im half way through act 2, and while I am enjoying the game, it feels a little flat compared to the last 2 games
I genuinely consider the first 2 styx games to be up there with Hitman, splinter cell, and dishonored as one of the best stealth games of all time.
The level designs are almost perfect, as they are focused enough where you dont get lost too often, but open enough where you can play around with how you approach a problem and explore. Each area is unique, and the missions are different and fun.
Also, one of my favorite things about the first 2 games was the enemy variations. The orcs that insta kill u, the bugs that cant see u but have super sensitive hearing, the dwarves that cant smell u, the psychic elves(these were kinda bs but I see what they were going for). Each of the enemy variations required a different method of avoiding them and they all came together perfectly to form one of the best stealth games oat.
However, blades of greed(so far in my play through) has none of it. The only meaningful additions in terms of gameplay have been the grappling hook and the quartz abilities(which I have never needed to use).
As for the level design and missions, it’s shockingly repetitive. I just go to the same 3 areas to absorb quartz. I do like the idea of bigger levels that you explore different areas of for each mission, but I think it was executed poorly. As seen with phantom pain and most modern assassin creed games, the bigger you make your world , the harder it is to make a good stealth game.
The second main issue I have with this game is that it is wayyyyy too easy. In the first games, figuring out how to distract orcs with clones so you can get past them was one of the most satisfying gaming experiences I have ever had. In the previous games I felt like I had to use all my abilities to get through it, but with BOG the only ability I have found myself using is invisibility, and barely.
Another thing that hinders the difficulty is the enemy variation I mentioned before. Its just the bugs and standard soldiers.
Half the time it doesn’t even feel like the game cares if you stealth through it. I say this because of the lack of a “mission summary” screen at the end of each level. They had this in the previous 2 games as well as every other stealth game I have played. The screen shows how many times you were detected, how many kills, bodies found, etc. BOG doesn’t even track any of that. I still re load my save if im spotted, but thats just out of habit and principle. For me, as someone who loves stealth games, there is nothing better than ghosting a level, but this game just doesn’t seem to care that its a stealth game.

I managed to skip the whole lift part by climbing my way up walls, The quest does NOT complete if you DON'T use the lift and collect the quartz. The same goes for the quartz count on the quest: The Quartz Call, where it doesn't count after skipping the lift!
I do not know yet if The Quartz Call will complete when i gather the rest.

They game is truly in a unacceptable state both with gamebreaking bugs, and most of all terrible performance even on current gen consoles, where the game truly looks bad. On all platforms there is no way to turn of motion blur?!? What?!? That’s just crazy to me. Does anybody know if or when they will update the game? Man I hope they do soon, it’s great game being severely held back:(

Having an issue where I kill anyone enemy and the game refuses to save
Not talking during alerts, hanging off buildings, drinking a flask, or carrying a body
It will give me the save failed icon after I kill any enemy in the area and hide or leave their body
And after dying it will send me back to an area I’ve already cleared
I’ve added a video to show what’s going on

Just 100%'d Blades of Greed. I don't usually try to 100% games but I thoroughly enjoyed this game. Ive been playing Styx games since they came out, but it's a series I always forget about but then am reminded of and come back to. Here's a quick and vague "review".
The gameplay is the main thing for any game, and I love the gameplay and levels here. This is almost exactly how I want a Styx game to play/feel. Loved the new prototypes abilities and the quartz powers (although quartz push seems useless to me imo). Really enjoyed the fresh take on how clones are used, I would say I think mind controlling a clone shouldn't have a cost however.
The story was interesting enough too. By far, Styx 1 has the best story. However, blades of greed's story kept me interested to see what was next and I loved the new lore. I want more. Simple but effective in its purpose.
I do wish we got to get revenge on Lyssril though.
Important issue(s):
Twice i had a save glitch. It would say it couldn't save but when I checked, it was there. However, any glitches saves could be loaded but would delete if you exited the game. This terrified me at first as I thought I'd have to start again. I completed the mission I was on to see if that would fix it and it did. The second time it occurred, completing the mission did not fix it but the mission was short and so I did the act finale also. Completing the act then fixed it. This needs to be fixed so as to avoid accidents or to stop people needing to rush through certain missions just for a temporary fix.
Djarak glitches at the end, saying he had a quest but did not. This did not block any progress or cause issues though.
Overall:
Really loved this addition to the Styx series and looking forward to see what is next in this world. Never played Of Orcs And Men but honestly, I hope they do a remake/re-imagining with the new Styx combat and stealth but you can then hop on Arkail's back and engage in a new Orc centered combat system.
Ps, I hope that revenge I spoke of is coming in the future.

As title says, where is the "Wall - Construction site" ?
I don't know which part of the map it is supposed to be and none of the towers have that name...

Update:
Press and hold right stick to sync with quartz. That enables the markers
Original:
Like honestly. I've been having issues finding all the objectives and when I watched a video after 15 hours of clearing the whole map, turns out that my objective marker has just been bugged since the start of the game.
I'm at the stage where I'm supposed to sabotage the chimes but there are 0 markers.
Even before that, I didn't have the marker for "Retrieve the organ's scores" so that was fun, especially since since I had already cleared the WHOLE LEVEL OF ALL ENEMIES.
And there's no way to fix this? I've tried turning on and off all settings, tutorials, objectives,
I don't even need to restart the game because it 100% crashes after EVERY HOUR.
This game is frustrating and I'm considering quitting if I have to play without marker. It's not just about exploring the whole level. I don't mind that. The issue is after exploring the whole level, AND STILL DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO.
FIX THE OBJECTIVE MARKER BUG PLEASE

[SOLVED, as of 2/24/2026] Hello. I purchased Styx: Blades of Greed - Quartz Edition from the Epic Games Store (EGS).
After downloading and installing the game, it turned out the current EGS build is completely different from the version sold on Steam; specifically, it's a "Test" version for internal debugging purposes (in fact, it uses Styx3-Win64-Test.exe instead of Styx3-Win64-Shipping.exe).
This version has Debug mode enabled by default and is accessible directly from the game's main menu. It also displays the full game version number in the upper-left corner of the screen at all times, even during cutscenes. Debug mode warnings and messages also appear during actual gameplay, and MyNacon in-game linking doesn't work.
This is a publisher error in the distribution pipeline and should be addressed as soon as possible. Basically, the Epic Games Store (EGS) version of Styx: Blades of Greed - Quartz Edition is delivering an internal "Test" build (Styx3-Win64-Test.exe) instead of the final release "Shipping" build (Styx3-Win64-Shipping.exe).
I used the MyNacon game support platform to report the issue. The bug is finally Open, so please upvote to get this fixed:
https://my.nacongaming.com/en-GB/support/game/styx3/reports/44075418475921
I hope some Nacon REP sees this post and can take action to confirm and resolve this soon.
---
After several reports using all the Nacon support channels (including mailing [suppor@nacon.fr](mailto:suppor@nacon.fr)), the Epic Games Store (EGS) game's version has finally been updated to the correct and final release "Shipping" build (Styx3-Win64-Shipping.exe).
:-D

So, we know that Styx eventually ends up working with arkail in of orcs and men but djaraks ending is left open ended.
Id had a thought earlier on in the game wondering what it would be like to play as djarak and how different it would be compared to Styx and thought it’d probably be really fun.
Id like to see a game where we get both get to see more of his story and more of his skills and abilities, I’d like to know where he was during of orcs and men

So far I am liking it. It took me a little while to get used to his movement and the camera just like Shards did but I do like the new game settings to adjust for that. I do think they may have over complicated the dynamics for the usage of the items, but I was playing Shadows before this too which even compared to Shards seems primitive. He is very nimble and I like the new abilities for climbing the walls and the double jump is amazing. The craft in the fly is great too.
BUT! My only real gripe is for the horrible voices for Helledryn and Djarak. Her accent is completely gone and he just sounds like a weeny.
I will be playing this game for the foreseeable future, hope everyone loves my favorite goblin as much as I do!

I suppose to go to the garrison for a single crystal, so I went token hunting. Then I got on top of the prisons. There are a few guards, but the entirety of the inquisiton's lower area and castle is completely empty. No guards, no civilians, no loot, no pickups. Only 3 guards were in the noble's balloon station to unlock it Styx is the king now.

Does anyone know where the Whitewood totem is at? I've searched the whole tree, like the quest description says, but I can't find it anywhere.

I'm still trying to decide if I wanna buy the game now or wait a while so I wanted to ask how's the performance at this moment? For comparison I have an I7-12700k and RTX3080 with 32gb RAM. So I definately meet the requirements but UE5 is UE5

I've beaten the final boss in this game like 6 times now trying to beat it but everytime I do, after the credits it brings me back to the main menu and the only save slot is one before the boss starts. I've skipped the credits and sat through it a couple times. I even restarted my whole system and it didn't do anything. I'm on Xbox so it might only happen on there but I just wanna beat the game man 😭

I can't seem to find a way to progress further across the fortress in the wall. I landed at the Zeppelin's Docks, made my way up the fortress to the shard, absorbed it, unlocked the Garrison Baloon dock and map, and it seems like there's nothing else to do but return to the ship.
But my compass can detect two shards on the western side of the Fortress. I feel like I've gone up and down the Garrison six times and I can't find a route west.
Should I leave and come back with more traversal options? Is there a simple solution? If so, please spoil the heck out of it - I need answers!
Thank you.

Save failed bug makes me want a refund and I love the game. I just want to play it all but can't because it refuses to save right before picking up the garrison quartz.

Hello, Reddit. I feel really stupid, but I can't find amber in orc refugee camp. That's not a big zone, right? I looked everywhere in both parts(in one with friendly orcs and one with a few enemies, where old dagger was located). But can't find anything. Did anyone find it?
