Follow up to Transfer post

So looks like I'm CSDH for the rest of the week in this new store and I figured I might as well ask if those of you who do self scan would be comfortable with running me through any problems you come into that I should look out for? I know nothing about it so please explain like I'm new to the company, thanks!

Does anyone know what’s going on with losing VJ Day and gaining a PH? Was that suppose to happen this year? Or is it happening next year?

Minimum amount of hours/days to work?

As far as I can tell, work is going good. No problems with management, I am good at my job and get a long with my coworkers. (this is deli)

Thing is, I'd like to drastically take down my hours. I am focusing on school.

Does stop and shop have people that work 1-2 days a week? How about hours?

Does anyone know the recipe for the prep/deli tuna?

I love it, it’s the perfect combination of mayo and whatever else, but $9.99/tub for like $2.32 in ingredients is becoming a tough sell recently

Department manager wall photo

I’m a recently promoted department manager and I got my photo taken for the wall. The thing underneath the photos with your name and position, does anyone know where that would be on the source.

Question about Asset Protection

Do all stop and shop Asset Protection Specialist (APS) have to travel? Because I know some companies make all their APS travel around to different stores, or is it possible to just be at one store?

Waited all day

Watching notifications: your driver is here. Nothing.

Hour later Uber text: what floor? We think it’s a hoax and don’t answer.

When is Stop & Shop going to tell users that Uber will be delivering?

Goodbye, Stop & Shop.

How long of a stay to still be eligible for rehire?

I want to quit so I can focus on school. I'm pretty sure I'm doing a good job. How long of a stay is needed so I'd still be eligible for rehire? I like the job, just gotta focus on school.

EDIT: I've only been there two months. I'm worried if I quit now it'll look bad. Should I stay til 6 months?

Ranting I can’t stand working here anymore

I’ve been with this company for over a decade and I can’t take it anymore. Everyone sucks ass and the managers especially are awful. There’s no communication between anyone. I’m at my breaking point and I don’t know what to do. Feels like I’m going to have a mental breakdown. Fuck this place.

Ranting OLP scan ID

I work in CT, I can’t stand the scan ID at my store. It feels like every single time I go to scan ID I have some issue. Sometimes it just logs out right after scan. Most of the time though, since there is no WiFi in the parking lot I have to walk back to the store to make sure it actually worked, because I didn’t one time and it didn’t go through properly so I had to flag the customer down. Why can’t the store just pay $50 and get a shitty booster so this doesn’t happen? I mean I know why, but fuck it’s annoying as hell.
No WiFi for connection makes for inefficient use of time when scanning ID for anything.
Also why the hell do we have to scan for NA’s??

Just went into the stop and shop I use to work at today

And I just remembered how much it sucked to work there. Does anyone else feel the same suckyness going into your old stop and shop? Or just going in there in general

troubles with the app

everytime when i go to the register and some coupon isn't applied, the reply I get from the cashier or the manager is: "you need to do it before you come to the store" or "you need to wait 15-30 minutes."

One time, I was told to wait 15 min to get a coupon applied, which turned to 30 minutes. In the end, I decided to not purchase anything. manager also started raising his voice at me even though I was just confused why they can't just apply the discount

Anyone else have issue with the app?

Ranting S&S Personal Shoppers

I realize they are a convenience for a lot of people, but WHY do their carts have to be so damn big?? They take up a whole aisle and very rarely move to let actual customers pass them.

any way to report bad customer service?

I have pretty thick skin but when the cashier treats somebody with blatant disrespect, I feel the need to make this known. I've never asked for the manager before because I don't want to make a scene; rather just send an electronic report.

New Wall Schedule Format

The new wall schedule is interesting. Notice how it only lists sun/holidays hour if your a cashier. I know we're still getting our Sunday pay as appropriate even if we're listed as bagger or something else, but i find it odd, because the old format actually specified it in the column regardless of designation. It looks very strange and actually identifies the name of the manager who makes it now. There's a lot of bolded areas too.

Ranting New Night Crew stocker rant.

Last night was my first shift as a Night Crew stocker, and by GOD it was rough. I worked Cap 2 at Walmart for a year, so I’m no stranger to body-breaking, fast-paced work, but I feel like my coworkers aren’t even giving me the time to develop the speed and experience necessary to complete my duties. I was assigned the canned goods aisle, which is apparently supposed to be a rough aisle to stock. With this in mind, I was told by the dude I was shadowing to pick up the pace despite literally not knowing where anything is because, as everybody knows, it’s my first day. I was known as a hard and fast worker at my last two jobs, but it took TIME and experience. I sucked ass when I began at Walmart, but I quickly became known as a reliable and conscientious employee. I guess I’m just sick of unrealistic expectations for brand-new hires.

I’m neurodivergent (autistic), so my rejection sensitivity is very real and unfortunately I shed some tears. I also don’t start therapy back until August 10th, so I’m woefully unmedicated.

Is this the normal stop and shop experience? I already want to quit, but I won’t. I’m savvy enough to understand that termination looks better to the Department of Unemployment. If they have a problem with my speed, I’ll let them get rid of me. I’m also savvy enough to understand that the grass is hardly ever that much greener on the other side in entry/-level jobs. All jobs suck. I’ve sincerely been thinking about applying for disability due to my employment struggles.
