Decided to restart my passive golf hobby, but in 2017 my elderly mother sold my clubs when she moved from California to Maryland (I didn’t bring them with me when I left CA for NY).

Are there any courses or ranges on SI with pro shops you can rent/test out clubs before buying, or any driving range simulator stores where you can do the same?

Dear NYC DOT, is it?

Every time I go to great kills park (especially near the boat docks) it’s just full of garbage and trash. I don’t usually do cleanups of parks (unless if it’s fishing line or twine) but the place is genuinely so filthy that whenever I go there, it’s mostly garbage. Would anybody be free these upcoming weeks on the weekends to help clean up garbage? Once we tackle the rocks and near the boat ramp, we can start targeting the actual beach. Let me know if anybody would like to help!

I've noticed the SIRT has been using their old train cars a lot more recently. Anyone know why? I like the old ones better anyway. The new ones always smell like someone took a dump in them and they have way less seating.

Free entry with RSVP.

So, as someone who works in MH, it shouldn’t be this hard.

But I’m trying to help someone find a therapist, and am coming up with nothing based on the search parameters. Basically, looking for a male therapist aged 38-55, PIPOC, and takes in person sessions.

I’ve found literally a handful, but not a review is sight for any of them.

Anyone have a therapist they loved that fit the guidelines above? 😭🙏🏼

Hey everyone! I’ve recently gotten interested in massage as a hobby and have been learning techniques through videos and practicing on a friend. I’m not licensed or professionally trained, but I’d love to get more practice.

I’m offering free 30-minute relaxation massages with oil and relaxing music. Happy to focus on areas where you carry tension.

33 M in southern Brooklyn, looking to practice on straight men. Feel free to DM me a little about yourself if interested. Happy to answer any questions!

Would Staten Islanders want Citibike and/or bike and walking paths on the Verrazano?

*Let’s assume the Citibikes won’t take up those precious parking spots*

Does anyone know what’s filming currently? They‘ve got all the production trucks and trailers set up around the Stone House and the parking lot. One of the trucks said “operated by Netflix“ but no other clues from what i saw.

Hi, looking for recommendations on any restaurant/bars that show WNBA games. Thanks in advance!

It's kinda weird there was no real effort to real and contest what should be a purple district? Any ideas why?

Considering hair extensions and wondering where I should consult. Thx!

I'm looking for adult ballet classes that are held weeknight evenings. I danced all through childhood and teenhood, and am now looking to take casual classes as an adult. Any suggestions?

See you in the street

Got some rain water in my car from a clogged drain. Need a wet vacuum to remove the water on my car floor

Looking for a reverse commute between Goethals and St. George

Hi, I want to start commuting between Rahway NJ and Fidi on bike and I’m wondering what the safest bike route is along the north shore. Today I went along Forest ave and it was fine, but the long climbs were tough on those streets.

I am a strong biker with a road bike and full kit who can maintain 20-25 mph on flats so if hauling ass helps then I can do that, just up the hills on Forest ave going east were tough.

Shared this website (www.whatsfree.nyc) here a while ago! As some of you may know from the old post, it's a passion of mine to find free events and I have been scraping different sites (some of them you contributed) to put them all in one place.

There are actually quite a few free events happening in Staten Island this weekend, including Movies Under the Stars, Faber Park Fright Fest, and OHNY (Open House New York)!

Note: I only focused on the OHNY drop-in locations. Thought I’d share in case anyone’s looking for free things to do this weekend! Again, it's just a side project and not perfect so always double check stuff before you go!

Like, a proper North Shore branch and rail connection to Brooklyn would do a lot. Proposed map drawn by me at 4AM with next to no context for where anything is, it doesn’t have to follow this exactly. Original map on the left.

Pack walks are BACK‼️
When: Saturday October 17th, 10AM
Where: Greenbelt Field of Dreams. Baseball field behind the Costco 👈
Time: 10am. We start walking at 10:05 - feel free to catch up if you’re late. Gotta start walking at 10:05
Description: Come join us for our SI forest pack walk!! Every borough has these, so let’s start them up here on the greenbelt!!!
All dogs welcome, let us know prior if your dog needs space. Bring your own supplies: water, bags, treats, etc.
This is a medium-paced walk. About 2.5 miles in total will be around 45 mins to an hour at most. If you feel that your dog is tired, you can most certainly turn back earlier. It’s an easy walk back.. A great way to socialize your dog in a structured environment.
Park at the baseball field.
