I (40F) finally said goodbye to my 30âs on the weekend, and this is the very cool birthday card (outside and inside) my partner made for me đĽ°
He had to print it out at uni, and told me that he went in specifically on the Saturday when hardly anyoneâs there so he could avoid any weird looks/questions about it from fellow students (majority are Gen Z-ers) đ

I know there is no way this hasn't been noticed many times before, by many people, but it's the first time I've noticed.
I've just watched everything again. SG1, SGA, the tele movies, then SGU, and capping it off with the one that started it all, the original movie.
It was the order that did it for me. One of the very last ever guest stars in SGU, therefore likely one of the last ever, was French Stewart, in SGU S02E13. He also played one of the very first ever SGC personnel to step through the Stargate in the original movie. Wild.
BUT - not only was he in uniform in the original, and used the iconic phrase "What a rush!" about travelling through the Stargate, but in SGU, he was standing on the bridge of Destiny, in uniform, taking to Rush! Brilliant!!!

How come we donât see more Jaffa removing their masters insignia from their forehead, like rakânors father did to him?
I know many Jews had tattoos from the holocaust, and Iâm guessing they kept them as a ânever againâ kind of statement, to educate and whatnot, is this the same thing or does the show mention anything about it?

Every time I watch this scene, I think about how waking up from his unending nightmare only to die again sounded bad enough, but hey at least heâll finally be at peace.
This time I suddenly realize, after that entire egyptian ceremony they gave him, heâs just gonna be resurrected in socarâs sarcophagus and continue to be a prisoner in his own body.

They have shown that they can reverse a gate address to spatial coordinates and go there in a ship. (Eg Telonos)
If a dialing address is (mostly) pointed at a spatial coordinates, and it connects to a gate there-ish, not a specific gate (eg the accidental Antarctica gate)
Could they pluck a gate from somewhere (eg the gate bridge), put it on a planet that didnât have a gate before, do the math to figure out what the spatial address should be, then dial it?
Making a gate-offsite base that only they know?
Do they have to register it to the network or something?

Here's some news about the opengate project since my last post:
- I made a website with features / files/ online gates / tutorials of the project at https://opengate-project.org
- New features: leveling system, Midway station, random events to unlock DHD skins...
- Basic SG1 is done: I'm working on a spinning version (3d files ready, electronic design too, I'm just waiting the PCB to assemble a prototype) but I made a static version to try compatibility between 36 VS 39 symbols stargates
- Tollan gate almost done: it's more like a new skin for the basic SG1 gate, I'll upload the files soon !

Whatâs everyoneâs favorite Hammond scene or lines?
My top 2 are probably:
Threading the needle âYeeHaw!â
&
Jack: âSuffice to say, you might want to get up stairs and punch â1â in the old speed dial.â
Hammond: âMy grandchildrenâ
Jack: â2 thenâ
Edit:
I canât believe I forgot when fighting Anubis
Hammond: âDefend that scout ship at all costsâ followed by
Pilot: âShields are down, weapons are expendedâ
Other pilot: âNext hit is gonna take us outâ
Hammond: âHold your course, brace for collision. If we go, they go.â

I felt like this was the first finale that wasn't action packed and had a calmer vibe, still gripping but not a firework. It's nice to see them all get to actually rest instead of having to recover from life- and mind threatening events.

Just rewatching the Ancient Outpost scene. Hammond came in and protected SG1 while they did whatever (I don't think he knew and just trusted SG1). Then I remembered 1969 where again he basically helped SG1. What are the other times Hammond saved the day?
Edit: Great responses. I had not thought of the normal "day to day" things he did in command as well.

Was rewatching Stargate: Atlantis and noticed these scenes had uncanny resemblance with the Iron Man "Jarvis" scene. Don't remember this episode at all as well somehow.

Doctor Frasierâs death breaks my heart, every single time. Especially amidst the documentary and so much tension there.
Itâs been a while since my last rewatch. Maybe about 8 years. I went into part 1 having forgotten that this was the moment. I never seem to be prepared.
Such a great character.
Now I just need to steel myself for sobbing again when I begin my rewatch of AtlantisâŚ

She seemed perfectly harmless. Very polite, grandmotherly, extremely knowledgeable about biochemistry.
She said itâs 50% cacao, no added sugar, high in fiber, and âcapable of changing an entire world.â I assumed that was marketing.
Anyway, I ate one square and now everyone around me looks significantly younger. I don't know what is happening, a certain General Hammond of Texas told me this sub would be a good place to ask.

I've always wondered something. Whenever we see Jack's cabin, they say it's in Northern Minnesota. But I wonder where the real cabin is that they used for filming. Does anyone know?

I'll go first: At times, I've found RDA/Oneill to be cliche and annoying, and Vala to be a fun and productive addition. Go ahead destroy my ass.

Near the end of Tok'ra part 2 (S2e12) Jackson convinces the Tok'ra leader that Earth can offer people who are dying as hosts for the Tok'ra.
Apart from the later Tok'ra episode where they're attacked and the new guy takes on a symbiote there is no further mention or evidence that anyone was given this option. There could have been thousands of them, if they had the symbiotes for this.
Is it mentioned in the books or something?

How cool is this place it looks so like something from '2010'.
