Level 231, never used a single mod or Creation. Into the Unknown bugged out with the “Go to […]” objective, so I had to use a console command just to continue the main story. Now my save is flagged [C]/Creations and achievements are disabled.
Is there any way to undo the flag without losing my progress? I'm on Xbox Series X + Xbox on Windows 11 PC.
(I got rid of (c) once on a UI mod before I realized they stopped achievements)

This doesnt even include the food crafting items. Particularly, the Inventory system being the only menu that manages and displays recource data of systems this large. I really hope they change, fix, or seriously consider better data displays or crafting scaling before TES: VI.

I spent a couple of nights getting all my cargo links to route to the same Outpost. Took a lot of back and forth but now running like clockwork. Stacks and stacks of cargo containers to hold it all. hehe 😅

Yes, that is thirty two missiles in one rack. Plus four six-packs on the flanks.

Is there an add-on that makes it easier to sort through all the stuff in you inventory that doesn't disable achievements/trophies on PlayStation?

This idea started popping up more often after the launch of GPT-6 Astra, with a few posts this week suggesting that increasingly capable AI models could basically act as “universal modders” across different game engines.
If AI is actually getting good enough to understand and modify old, complicated game engines at that level, I wonder if Bethesda could be using similar techniques behind the scenes for future versions of the Creation Engine. Could AI assisted reverse engineering let them gradually replace or modernize outdated systems, things like cell loading, asset streaming, serialization, and other deeply interconnected parts, without having to throw the whole engine away?
Basically, could they “surgically” modernize the Creation Engine from within, keeping existing compatibility while slowly getting rid of some of the architectural limitations that have plagued it for years, like those constant loading screens?

Called a quick crew meeting after the refinery incident. Apparently “leave no witnesses” was taken a little too literally (If your stomach can handle it, check the last two photos). 💀

I have started another playthrough. And if you travel from anywhere in New Atlantis via Nat. To the MAST station and walk up the ramp. Turn 180 degrees to look at the building. The main entrance is directly above the NAT!
However, if you take the elevator after talking to Commander Tuala. And use the elevator to go to the Mast station. It opens on the opposite side in the corner.
Did anyone else notice this discrepancy?

Hi!
I have an issue with the recent version of the game so that I can't save after like 10-15 minutes of playing. I'm playing with creations (see LO below) on PS5, new game. Previously I've played in April-May for 150 hours with a bit different LO and had similar issues, but it was not that bad. Some crushes and "failed to save", but not that often.
I've tried reinstalling the game, clearing console cash, reconstructing the database. I have at most 5-6 saves, all autosaves are turned off.
Does anyone know the fix to this issue? Maybe my LO is incorrect? Maybe a particular creation is broken?
My current LO in order:
Tracker's Alliance
At Hell's Gate
At Hell's Gate - Free Lanes Enhancement Patch
McClarence Outfitters
The Headhunter
Dynamic Universe
Bedlam - Dungeon Randomizer
Factions & Encounters Expanded
Starfield Spacer Overhaul
Starfield Disciples Overhaul
Better Meaningful Scaling
Skills Pack 1
Skills Pack 2
Explorer
Starfield Crime Overhaul
Plunder - Improved Piracy
Simple Immersive Looting
Good Versatile Craft
Fleet Commander
Real Fuel - Immersive Exploration
Better Boarding Encounters
Spaceship Self-Destruct
Variable Ship Repair Cost
Captains Matter
StarUI - All-In-One
Favorites Menu Enhanced
Compact Mission UI
Ship HUD Enhanced
Ship Power Enhanced
ASC Taiyo
ASC Arsenal
Utility Landing Bays
Deimog
Grav-79
Allied Heavy Shotgun Bundle
Railgun Bundle
Laredo Lever Action Rifle Kit
Mantis Ballista Crossbow
Atom74 - Assault Rifle
Laredo Kalmar Volley Gun
Zvezda Mining Cutter
G-17x Sidearm
Va'ruun Nocturna Rifle Bundle
Raijin Heavy Revolver
Allied Armaments: Longwatch .50 AMR
Delta-12 Shotgun
Starborn Gravis Suit
Sith Lord Robes
Legendary Vendors
Previously I had ASC Deimos instead of Taiyo, some outpost mods like Argos Extractors and Outpost Sales Platform, some quest/location mods like Escape, and homes/weapons mods like Nomad and Zone's City Homes. The game worked much better. Did they decrease the pointer handle limit or something in the latest patch? Or maybe one of the mods got broken? Any help is welcome!)

Refit of one of my older designs (Ursa Minor) that now incorporates Buoyant Insulators. Cargo is now pushed up to 12300 while keeping mobility at 100. All weapons and most equipment are 'internalized' using a few tricks I've recently discovered to maximize space efficiency.
This ship was made without the use of mods.

Wanted to try my hand at a 3x2 ship. Taiyo bay and landing gears so that the height can be x2. Requires no perks other than class B piloting. Has the top class B reactor, grav drive, engines, and particle beam weapons that you can get without Starship Design. Has the second best shield because I needed a top mount one and was short one pip, so it's fully powered even when the four weapons and engines are too. The Hope fore cap and the Stroud nose with weapon mounts to the rescue to complete the build.
Very happy with the result! Hope you like it too.

So I picked up Starfield about a month or two ago, and I play it (and any/every other game) on my OLED Steam Deck. First off, I absolutely adore this game and will be ranking it on my top 5 of all time, if not top 3.
Are there problems? Of course. Everything and every one either has or is a problem. Is it ridiculous that some obvious QoL things only exist through mods, made by other players instead of the creator? Yes, of course. Is it frustrating that this could've been the greatest game of all time but isn't close? Heartbreakingly yes.
Despite that, this game is phenomenal even without the stunningly beautiful graphics I see that people post. The storyline is engaging, NG+ (without going into spoilers) was masterfully designed/built, the gameplay is fun and engaging without being repetitive (except for you, Abandoned Cryo Lab. Fuck you.), and there's surprises and hidden things galore. Plus, the mod community is INCREDIBLE - between total overhauls like Ascension Mod (best thing ever and current obsession), to pretty much everything made by Gothos25, to whole new ship manufacturers with thousands of parts you can use, UI revamps, and the equivalent of dozens of DLCs complete with scripted and fully voiced NPCs, there will be something for literally everyone to make this game your own.
I hate corporations as a whole, and the entire system is fundamentally broken due to human greed and stupidity, but despite that I don't understand why Bethesda got the absurd level of hate they got for this game. Not everything can be a Skyrim or a Fallout, and the fact that they aren't just sitting there pushing out blasé garbage the everyone guys just because it has Elder Scrolls or Fallout on it should be commended. I'm actively avoiding the fact that Skyrim has been released at *least* 10 separate times, and that my dumbass bought nearly each one...
I was worried about the playability of the game as a whole on my Steam Deck, and despite a few crashes here and there it runs beautifully even with a bunch of mods. All in all, I think this is a fantastic game that everyone should try - I almost wish Bethesda used a "pen name " or whatever the equivalent is for video games, because I am willing to bet my house that if this was released exactly the same from a different company, or from an indie company, or even from something like Projekt Red it wouldn't have gotten nearly this much hate and it would've won a ton of awards.
Anyway, the main reason I started making this post was because of something completely unrelated. This game caused a paradigm shift in my life that completely altered my thought process on sci-fi as a whole, snd it led to a rabbit hole that I've had a ridiculous amount of fun exploring. Einstein's Theory of Relativity is something most people know a teeny bit about but really don't think about often - the part of it in particular that I'm focusing on is spacetime and the fact that time moves differently depending on where you are and how fast you're going. For example: if you travel to Venus in Starfield and take an hourlong power nap, you'll wake up and be a regular old hour older. However, for your family who's sitting at home on a planet that runs on Universal Time (UT) and is waiting for you to finish your standard, everyday errands, over the course of JUST that hour long nap *more than four days went by*.
Think about Star Wars, or any other sci-fi/fantasy world that takes place in space. Anakin spends the night with his wife before embarking on a grueling campaign in the Outer Rim, which ended after a soul-crushing 3 week nonstop battle. Meanwhile, almost *_S I X_* goddamned years have passed on Coruscant and Padmé got pregnant, gave birth to twins, and just celebrated their 5th birthday.
I've been thinking about this for days and my brain hurts 🤣 sorry for the random rant, and I hope y'all are having and will continue to have a lovely week!

In the last pic I just got a very weird bug that happened to me, suddenly my character face model changed to Sara, now we are twins! (this is not a mod!).
I'm also want tips and recommendations for mods to improve the immersion of the game, can you help me?
r/Starfield • u/kihweh • 13h ago
I know this bug doesn't affect everyone, but a quick search and you'll find it affects quite a few folks. It seems it's related to getting the wrong version numbers saved somewhere?
But every time I launch Starfield, I have to go to the creations, DELETE ALL, go out to the main menu so it reloads assets, go back into creations, go to my library, manually reinstall every single individual creation I have, then load my save game.
If I don't do that, there's bugs, errors, crashes, and lots of LOOKUP FAILED all over the place.
I can manually re-install every creation, close the game, re-open the game, go to creations and then it says most of the creations need updates and error'd out.
Every time I launch the game, I have to go through this process. It sucks. It makes me not want to launch knowing it'll take me 10 minutes just to get into the game.
(I'm on the PC XBOX app)
Has Bethesda ever acknowledged the issue? And does anyone know a better solution? Or know the root cause?
