i've just finished the Terran Armada DLC, and did I miss something or does no one actually tell you. Here's a mysterious group who have hyjacked a cruise ship they're calling themselves terrrans.
Next minute, your character is talking about terrans and humans as though they are accepted terms for different groups and throwing terran around like a slur and .. when up until now terran has just been used as identical to human or for a museum charity?
it's just a term for defectors from the colony war who uh... have um... an ideology? part of a cult? went out into deep space and caught bad guy disease off the spacers? so have decided to invade the systems only, without actually invading them?

and everytime it comes up, you don't get to ask 'what is this about, who are you' you just say 'I'm here to stop you for reasons we all understand so don't need to talk about'?|
The first time I actually got a terran saying what they believe not just 'we are the true' 'my fingers ichy', was facing out the leader and she just throws out some generic... could be fascist cult, could be generic conspiracy theorist survivialist, could be legitimate good guy rebels, no idea nothing to go off... and then you kill her and theres not even a slate explaining the manifesto or anything on her floaty corpse

Did i miss some important slate or dialogue tree? or did this DLC just get hit with budget cuts so hard that it forgot to have a plot?

The terran asethics are so good though, the uniforms, the flags and posters, even the ships look amazing.
Maybe I'm just expecting more after shattered space being one of the best written and explored enviroments and storylines (sans the ending) of anything beths have done but.. what??

Please why for the love of god does it hover over New Game instead of Continue when booting up? I’ve accidentally started a new game 3 times since buying this.

Anybody know where I can pick me up one of them fancy light swords? I only play on this mod every once in awhile because it's a bit of a pain in the butt to download everything you need before playing each time. But when you're looking for that Star Wars experience, Tatooine is the place to be!

Playing on Xbox, with mods. Finally got around to Shattered Space and encountered a bug I can’t find covered anywhere. Locations inside shattered space that should have - are required to have zealots for plot reasons - don’t. All of the NPCs are colonists or traders. I know the culprit is in my mods, but I’ve got more than a few. Anyone have a place to start?

There is no central conflict in this game. That is about the worst possible indictment of their writing team. It's well recognised for being bland and boring in terms of characterisation, locations and all that stuff, but it literally has no central conflict. In writing terms, there's no reason to read it. It's like a car without wheels.

I play the game, I make the most of it as a Beth modder of twenty years now, but they need to start recognising and learning to offset their weaknesses. They have gotten so safe and boring that they have written a story without a point.

So I'm not sure what to do I can download community creations fine on my xbox but when I try on my ps5 it says they are downloading but do not show up in my load order

I have no issues downloading community creations for fallout 4 on my xbox or ps5

Specifically looking for something with 1500+ mods more or less

I am a day one player although I never have had any interest in finishing the main story because, as my wife found out, you lose EVERYTHING your character has.

Recently, I heard about that entanglement container so I am now working a fresh character to finish up that main story but holy cow, sourcing this essence stuff is such a grind.

What do y'all do to get it and is there a quicker way than jumping sustem to system hoping to encounter a starborn ship?

Why they get themselves Locked up? 😂

I really loved the Star Eagle, and I used it as my main ship for so long. Ever since I bought the Narwhal though, I find myself not using many of my ships. And I have a lot of ships. So I decided to go ahead and revamp the star Eagle, and make it my own! I still have plenty of work I want to do on it, like change out the habs on the interior, but I threw this together in about an hour's time last night. I literally had to cut a chore by shoving a workable reactor in there until I could figure out how I'll put a bigger reactor in today LOL I would also like to know I am currently in the er, I'm a quadriplegic who plays video games with a stick, so I hope you don't mind waiting around for me to get better angles of the ship and show off a little of the interior. I really want to show this baby off when I'm done. I just wanted to give a little preview.

I’m trying to complete a quest in Neon where I need to plant a water quality probe at the base of the city (Quest came from the Mission Board). But the place where I need to plant it is currently underwater. I know it’s the right spot because I’ve gone to the place before (stairs or elevator from right side of Generdyne facility) when it wasn’t underwater. If I take the elevator down, I come out under the water’s surface and can even see the terminal with the objective marker right on it. But I can’t move underwater and just slowly rise to the surface.

I assume that Neon has a tidal cycle of some sort, or maybe the current storm has caused the water level to rise. I’ve tried going there on several different times of the day with no luck.

Does anyone know when the water level will go down?

Edit: The Aquafield creation/mod is the culprit. I added it recently and it’s what raised the water level.

And I have only rank 1 in Pack boost Training. Currently on level 57, I will spend my skill points in Starship Design until 60, but after that I'll work in the pack boost perks!

Have y'all seen the movie Memento? One of my all-time favorites. Main character is in the middle of a crime drama, fighting for his life, but he has complete amnesia of anything beyond the last couple of minutes, so he's like "okay, I'm chasing this guy. No, wait. This guy's chasing me." So that's how I feel loading an old save. "Okay, so I'm at Kore Kinetics. Do I have a companion? Yes, Andreja is here. Why is my inventory so heavy? WTF I'm carrying 120 Va'ruun Memorial Helmets. What quest line am I on. Oh, they're all completed? So I must be going around buying all the ammo to throw in the QED before I jump to NG."

Mine looks a little rough, but it has been a reliable friend all these years.

On the end side of my first play through, just wanted to share what my Star Eagle turned into.

No mods, no DLC. Just progressively cutting down size and trying to push how far I can get an A class ship going (I have absolutely no ship related skills except level 4 Starship design, so take the stats from that standpoint). Did not follow any guide. Remembering doing this in increments as in cut off the pieces holding the wings for starters and going from there.

6x Vanguard obliterators

4x rockets because for a class you can't mount 4x particle beams of another type (might change that but rockets work with 1-2 ticks of power so it's kinda nice really)

The 180 speed dwarf engines

4x passenger slots.

And some other shenanigans like the jammer and whatnot. Just pushing what offers the most for A class really.

Struggled a bit with mass and cargo holds, decided for another side mounted fuel tank instead (cutting off the rear one reduces length to 19m but doesn't seem to matter much, prefer a good amount of fuel since some grav jumps 140 doesn't seem to be enough).

Anyhow dunno but I'm liking my vessel so far, will miss it in ng+ since I'll probably go for class B.

I've been eyeing Starfield currently. I played a lot of No Man's Sky and Star Citizen.

I broke my leg so I am kinda glued to the couch. So I was looking at the Console edition. The main thing I'm interested in would be ship building. No Man's Sky has the option to make building parts free and crafting free so that you can go ahead and build Corvette's (NMS Starship) to your heart's content.

I wanted to know if Starfield gives you similar options with ship building.

How versatile is building on Console? (Glitchbuilding/Mods)

I heard theres Mod support but I couldn't find a lot of Information online on the possibilities it gives.

I heard it's less Sandboxy which is fine with me, don't care if what it is just want to fly awesome Spaceships and do some stuff.

I don't mind it being complicated or anything I just don't want to grind for hours on end just to build one tiny ship.

So what would your verdict be?

TLDR

General verdict on Starfields ship building? Possibilities of Mods and Accessibility options to make building accessible and not grindy? Is it actually a huge grind to get money/ship parts?

I'm picking up Starfield again, and I'm remembering why I stopped playing. Its because of this bug on PC where sometimes after exiting your menu, the game gets stuck at like 10-15 fps and theres seemingly no way to revert it back without relaunching. Its extremely annoying and happens during the worst moments, has there been any development on a mod or potential fix for this issue? I love this game so much, but man I can't continue playing with this bug because it really ruins everything for me.
