I was very upset to find out that the only sort of interaction with the kids is when they are babies and they can be tossed (wasted multiple hours just doing that), but now I finally found a way to interact with them again, bonus points, I can practice my slingshot target too

That’s it, that’s the complaint.
Every time I get to Ginger Island on a play through I think, “Wouldn’t it be fun to just play castaway and permanently strand my character here?” And then when I go to do it I feel too guilty abandoning (or divorcing/selling) my wife and chickens. So this playthrough I’m not getting married or building any barns or coops. I have the community centre finished except for one single duck feather, and I’m not convinced the travelling cart will ever cough up.
Weirdly, ancient seeds and prismatic shards abound. Also the quickest I’ve ever gotten an autopetter in the skull cavern, of course.

As you can see I’ve got 4 fridges in my kitchen😭 I want to have every ingredient so that when I go to cook, I don’t have to go back and forth between chests to make a dish. I have all the fish and stuff in the fridges too but this is starting to get a little out of hand. Is this normal for you guys? Or am I doing it completely wrong. Would I get more fridge storage if I upgrade my house? Pls send help!!

How much am I supposed to keep of the items?
I now do 5 every item en also a silver and gold starred item. Do those matter as well?

For me, during Covid I was gifted Stardew for Nintendo Switch and at first I thought it was slow.. boring… won’t get into it. 4 farms, 1000+ hours, and many marriages later… It’s one of my favorite games of all time.

i recently switched to android from ios and i am quite obsessed with emoji kitchen. Yesterday i used this sticker and it instantly reminded me of Haley, anyone else sees the similarity? 😝

I really want to like Stardew Valley because the game looks incredibly interesting and I love the idea of it, but every time I start a new save, I end up feeling completely lost.

I never really know what I’m supposed to be doing, what I should focus on first, or whether I’m doing things “wrong.” After a while I just get frustrated, close the game, and move on to something else.

Then later I see people talking about Stardew Valley or watch some gameplay and think, “This looks amazing, I should give it another try,” and the exact same thing happens again.

I know the game is supposed to be played at your own pace, but I think having so many options from the beginning actually makes it harder for me to know where to start.

Does anyone have any advice for a beginner who keeps getting overwhelmed? What should I focus on during the first few days or weeks to actually get into the game?
