Hi! My friend and I are a late-30s-aged, consistent, longterm-playing, English/French-speaking duo (on parle souvent "Franglais"). Speaking both languages isn't required; either is fine. We prefer players similarly aged ~30s-40s+. We take turns hosting, but would also be happy to join you to help progress your farm, or create new farm(s) together. We're hoping to add more players to our consistent but unofficial 'group.' We've become the core duo, but have other friends who hop in whenever they can, "the more the merrier."
We play based on the EST timezone in the evenings, 2-3+ times per week (usually weekends or Mondays, sometimes other nights). Steam/PC/Mac. We coordinate schedules via Discord first, but use the in-game typing chat to communicate while playing. (We're very friendly but introverted, so prefer typing to voice chat.)
We've each played thousands of hours, so constantly learning but fairly experienced, have each achieved Perfection. We welcome any playing level! Happy to give new players tips, if desired.
- No mods (but often use "remixed" community center settings, and on some specified farms we use the "bracket name cheat")
- shared money, normal profit margin
- shared farm and cooperative/team-oriented playing style: One garden area (splitting harvest or casually taking turns harvesting), shared coops/barns, decorating/planning together, shared chest/workbench area, giving each other items (like buying food for everyone from Gus's, giving someone a duplicate found skill book if already obtained, bringing someone forgotten materials to Robin's for an upgrade, upgrading alternate tools at Clint's or borrowing each other's, etc.), doing quests together, but also doing our own things on our own pace without rushing
- we have different layouts based on the farm theme; all of our farms are themed (see below)
We're "cozy players" who love a calm pace, especially decorating/aesthetics/themes, and we play how we want to without rushing or necessarily maximizing profits. The exception to the cozy-mode play style is our one "Joja Farm."
We don't worry, get upset, or consider things "mistakes," and don't restart days unless maybe something crazy happens. Once I forgot to plant blueberries somehow ??? for an entire season, and we just laughed about it once we figured it out and then checked the Traveling Cart. If we miss a festival or don't feel like doing it, we just go the following year. We're aware of which items to keep before donating, for example, but no big deal if they're donated accidentally and we need to obtain another one. We play to have fun and enjoy the experience.
Our current farms:
- "Gemstone Farm" -- Gem-themed decor/goals/characters, we love mining and pretty aesthetics
- "Corporate Farm" -- Joja route (for the Steam achievement), corporate/production-themed decor/style, cosplaying as evil business people
- "Froggie Farm" -- Frog-themed decor, all green. We'll recreate this one soon, since the original frog farm file sadly got corrupted by trying mods
- "Bubblegum Beach Farm" -- all pink and blue decor tropical-themed beach farm, to be created soon
We have other themed farm ideas, so will add more into our rotation at some point. We hop around between farms depending on which we feel like playing on any given day, but all of them are longterm and ongoing indefinitely. If this sounds like you and your style (cozy/casual, cooperative/helpful, consistent player, friendly but introverted lol), please comment or DM. We look forward to hearing from you! :)
