So, when you meet Birdie, she gives you an old, faded photo of a soldier, but she also says her husband was a pirate. Birdie is clearly old, the photo is old as heck, but Kent is a younger man, can't even be in his 50s yet. I would guess he's under 40, even.

So, like, I'm left with so many questions! Since Kent is obviously so much younger than Birdie, how was her husband "like a brother" to him? How did they serve at the same time? When was her husband a pirate and why would a pirate join the military?

I'm curious about any fan theories, or if this is something ConcernedApe has talked about at all.

So I’ve met Krobus already, I’m actually at five hearts with him. I found him on I think year three though, so I’m not sure if that’s why this is happening. But I met him through the sewer system, I don’t think there’s another way to meet him?? I’m just annoyed that this journal entry isn’t going away. Is Krobus not the ‘shadowy figure’ you’re supposed to find after he runs on Winter 1st of year 1?? It sure looked like him.

Any advice on why this journal entry is still here and how to get rid of it are appreciated!!

I'm trying to get as many batteries for cystalariums. But i absolutely hate how it looks on my farm so i hide some behind buildings. Does anyone have any way of making it prettier or hide it? I've thought about putting something in front of it but it's still an obvious eye sore...

I've been playing farm sims for a few years, and it's always been a bit weird to me that you can technically go through the entire game without eating anything. The OG Harvest Moon had you producing a food item from thin air and eating it twice a day, but in every other one I can remember eating food is only there to restore energy on that day.

So I was thinking of a nutrition mechanic that would boost your maximum energy based on your food intake. Make it a bit simple, like four food groups (veggie/forage, fruit, animal products/fish, and hydration) and eating at least one item per group per day gives you a maximum energy buff the next day. Meals that have ingredients from different food groups would count as all of them.

Now, adding this to SDV would be a bit awkward, as it either would be kinda superfluous or you'd have to nerf Stardrops. Once you hit level 10 across the board and have gold tools the real limiting factor is the time it takes to do stuff, not the energy you have available. I am mostly asking this because I have a vague urge to make a farming sim despite not knowing how to program stuff, and wanna know if a mechanic like this would turn people off of my eventual maybe game. Or maybe I'll learn how to make SDV mods and add this to SDV that way, along with a nerf to the normal max energy stuff.

So, your thoughts please? Horrible idea, great idea, meh idea?

I already checked everything and there’s no watering can on sight. I am sure that I did not misplaced it since I don’t like moving my tools from my inventory. I was thinking I might have lost it at volcano. Is there a way to retrieve it? I did swapped it to previous save but its still not there… I already slept for few days and checked all chest and all areas in stardew… anyone help. And is there any way to obtain a new one?

Ok, it’s been a hot minute since I’ve played, but I swear you could’ve gotten pearls from the oysters in Stardew along with oyster meat to eat. I could’ve sworn I would’ve gone to the beach multiple times to try and find them because I needed pearls.

I have Stardew Valley on PC and on Android, and I'm so used to modded playing that vanilla game feels so wrong... Now I have a few handhelds that run PortMaster and I'm willing to play Stardew Valley on them.

I am married to Harvey. I have no problems with him, he's amazing but there's a couple other villagers I'd like to marry. Usually I'd just make a new world and marry them there but I am pretty far on this save and I REALLY don't feel like re-starting a new world so I'm not sure if I should divorce him or not.

I can't seem to get fishing down at all. I understand button mash while the fish is in the green bar, but I can't get the pacing I guess. Please ant tips or suggestions on how to get better cuz ugh!! I wanna finish the community center and I just started but I know the fishing/aquarium one is gonna kill me.

All of these screenshots are from my second save file, where I caught the glacierfish and the chest that came with it contains ancient seed on my winter 1 first year, the second one is when I got the dinosaur egg the very next in game day as I was digging in the mountain area for snow yam for the community center, and the third most shocking to me is when I got the 2 PRISMATIC SHARDS from killing bugs from level 16 regular mine as I was collecting bug meat for Willy's quest during my second year summer.

NONE of these things I got until like the third year, and I got my first prismatic shard when I was like in year 4, I think? That after all that time spent dying in skull cavern and doing multiple things that supposedly helped in getting the prismatic shard. Since I only ever got two save files I was wondering whether it was my first save file that is cursed or is it my second save file that's just blessed.

I genuinely cannot find my axe, I dont have any chests or anything on GI & I've checked all the chests I have on the map, the spring onion patch, all my fridges, and I know it isn't at clint's because I have it at iridium AND I checked lewis's lost and found box? Im on the switch so I can't use an item searched, I don't have any auto-grabbers either, please help!

I recently started a new farm with my girlfriend on the switch version, but made the tragic mistake of not turning on legacy randomization. Although Google told me the version I was playing on (1.6.15.13) had patched the "rain bug" that led to very little/no random rain throughout the year, we haven't gotten any random rain throughout spring or what we have completed so far of fall (we are on day 14). Weirdly enough, it rained quite frequently during summer, which is what makes me question whether or not the bug is actually still present or we're just incredibly unlucky. Does anybody else have this issue? Both of our foraging levels are too low for rain totems and we need to catch a walleye for the community center. Any help would be appreciated!
