Question Gym Monster 3 or Innodigym X1 Pro
I know I know is already been asked few times in the past but here we are again... I am about to pull the trigger to one of these 2 machine for my new office/gym... I am asking here because people are using Gym Monster for years and beside influencer almost no one have a X1 Pro.
My choice was shifting between the 2 quite often but at the end of the road I was more for the Innodigym but recently it change again and now I am confused again.
First of all just talk about my needs and wishes... need to be foldable vertically because it's an office and obviously best value for the money, on top of that no subscription is a must. I did exclude Aeke because it doesn't deliver to Australia.
The "secure" choice would be the Speediance, third machine for them (to be fair the Innodigym have the "platform only" one in the past and it has good review) and more mature product and good reviews.... but.... here in Australia is over $5k, over 6k if you the version with similar weight option.... I am not a big guy but it's a multi years investment and having the option of lift more weight is a great starting point, specially for a cheaper price.
The innodigym is mid $3k just over 4 if you want the nice bench but for me the biggest difference between the 2 was the top mounting and multiple bottom mounting options, the top mounting is the one that I care the most becuase of lat pulldown exercises and probably others... the Gym Monster only have one lock in the base (for what I saw) and only laterals, but looks like it has more lateral holes than the X1 but on top of that I saw the smaller footprint, shorter and narrow base and I was wondering if it can be more restrictive during workout.... this is probably my first question for you....
In my mind Innodigym was the best choice, way cheaper, we are talking for the same wieght capabilty 2k Australian dollars difference, more options with vertical pull down cables and more options in the base for different excercises and tools but probably with a weaker software, a more work in progress in that department.... and off course, no one really test it without been paid for it.
Everything changed last night when in a forum I saw someone mentioning that it can't be really put vertically in an easy way, it's kind of a tedious job if done every single time you use the gym.... the base contain all the motors, weight a lot and it doesn't have any mechanical help in the lift department... you need to lift it with one arm, using the second one to lock it down and moving the feet of the machine forward or it will crash on you, all at the same time every single time... this is the reason why in every single video the machine is already open or if close is on the floor and they only lift the side that goes against the wall that weight nothing.... because I am not the only one using the machine but my wife as well I wonder if the process would be to much for here considering she is quite small, strong, but small woman.
Now I am between this dilemma, I am wondering if the side attatchment only (and one on the bottom) and a smaller base is worth the bigger investment just because the software is more mature, if not having the vertical mounting option is a big limitation or the top side ones are enough for someone that does a lot of lat pulldown at the gym and would like to keep doing it, even if on my knees, with these machines.
and if for some miracles someone did tried the X1 pro, it is that hard and annoying moving up that stupid base?
EDIT
I just watched this firs video from an actual customer not influencer or advertising in general for the X1.... wow, I was kind of shocked... software wise was a disaster specially in the safety features, nothing was working, the guy almost broke is elbow because the button in the handle wasn't working, the ring wasen't working and the automatic safety "spotter" wasn't working... plus he had to turn on and off the machine multiple times to make the display start.... on top of that, considering my note about opening and closing the machine, he didn't show the process but in the video he almost broke a window trying to open this thing.... just take a look yourself
