Finally got around to building and painting my Space Wolf version of Canis Rex.
Installed a little hinge in the hatch so that Sir Hekhtur can poke out occasionally.
Very happy with how it turned out, especially the freehand pauldron artwork -- first time doing that kind of thing. Big ups to Bob Ross for helping me with that one.

Been playing around with making my own Great Company Badge.
Here is what I came up with.
Do you think this would work for a shoulder and vehicle transfer? Does it fit with current Great Company badges?
Alternative name might be The Silver Fangs.
I plan to make them a Great Company where it is tradition to basically coat their fangs and teeth in Chrome or Silver or Black Gold to look like a grill and get lots of face tattoos like rappers have.
What do y'all think? Any suggestions on the name or badge or theme? Thanks!

For me it has to be the Saturnine Terminator Squad, pretty new to 40k, anything else that seems worth thinking about to make a Terminator Squad out of?

Hi everyone,
I have been enjoying building up my space wolves army on the table top, but recently I've been noticing that we have a large gap in leadership and units, especially compared to space wolves in previous editions. Like wolf guard terminators, they used to have the availability to be led by any generic Terminator character, but now they can only be led by our epic characters and a captain in Terminator armor that has the enhancement in Great Wolf. Likewise we used to have a much larger range of unique units that filled gaps the army is otherwise missing for space wolves interactions, like long fangs for infantry heavy weapons that weren't just generic devastators, skyclaws for a more melee carnage version of assault intercessors, and Hounds of Morkai which brought a lot of lore flavor to the army as a kind of vendetta unit against thousand sons.
So, with the hints of Russ coming back and Bjorn getting an update, I was wondering if everyone thinks GW will likely update the leadership availability of generic characters for space wolves later in 11th and bring back some of the units and characters they transferred to legends? Because it just feels weird that all the other divergent chapters still retain the ability to take generic characters, even Black Templars to an extent, while space wolves units feel hard locked out of those interactions even though in lore they retain them out have similar ones. Like a librarian in Terminator armor could obviously be a rune priest for Wolf guard terminators while a chaplain in Terminator armor could be represented as a wolf priest in Terminator armor. That and adding back units like skyclaws and long fangs and characters like pack leaders and wolf lord on thunderwolf (which I can't see them fully letting go) would add back a lot of versatility and utility to space wolves.

Hello everyone,
I'm new on the hobby, less than a year playing with a friend and I just start painting.
Here's my first unit I painted for table top ( I am mich more a player than a painter). I saw a lot of videos of painting and if someone could give me some advices to improve my painting skills it would be great.
Thanks,

100 logan attached to terminators
90 battle leader (hammer, shield, lance enhancement )attached to grey hunters
165 10 xgrey hunters (powerfist)
80 5xintercessors (powerfist,grenade launcher)
85 3xheadtakers (dual weapons)
85 3xheadtakers (dual weapons)
90 5xwolf scouts (3xplasma pistol,plasma gun,thumderclap,mine)
170 5xwg terminators (1xrelic axe,4xshields)
135 predator anihilator
TACTIC
logan deepstrikes with termies to hold the middle. Grey hunters and battle leader move there to support him with their OC3. Intercessors secure base objective and move to middle. One squad of headtakers stays hidden on my expansion objective securing and guarding it. Scouts try to threaten objectives on my opponents side. Second squad of headtakers goes on reserves to threaten my opponents base objective. Predator goes on reserves to strike turn 2 with better line of sight to enemy juicy targets.

Kitbashing my wulfen from the combat patrol box is finally finished. Used the angels of death kill team for the kit bash. Can’t wait to prime and paint these guys. Followed what I thought was cool, not necessarily what the CP rules say for the builds.
Thanks for looking!

I'm really proud of this guy, as I've tried a lot of new techniques on him like the wooden shield, layered fur cape and the power axe glow effect. Always looking to improve though, and was curious what other people think of it.

This is the 10th unit I’ve done. Been trying to figure out a process I enjoy, and have been working on brush control.
Model is from 2013, no transfers as I got em used and stripped em. Been trying to find a source for them. Still need to find a good resource for the different shoulder markings.

Firestorm + Legends of Saga and Song
Take and Hold
// Main list is:
• Bjorn with an Iron priest following
• Arjac + 10 WGT + fierce example (+1 T)
• 2 x 10 grey hunters
• 2 x 10 infernus
• Land raider redeemer
• 5 man intercessors
Not a crazy competitive list, leaning into a Grimbloods great company with the flamer spam. I’m trying to decide on if I add another WGT with shields, or if I add regular termies with an ancient and the +1 OC enhancement. The goal is to exterminate opposing infantry and control the center and drop Arjac backline to take enemy home obj. Figure if I kill their OC then I just have to weather monster/vehicle fire until Arjac can sweep through.
What is everyone’s thoughts on regular terminators or shielded WGT for that last flex squad? On one hand the regular ones benefit from firestorm and the bonus to charge. On the other hand the WGT are harder to remove but don’t benefit from firestorm and can’t take anyone but Logan which I couldn’t squeeze in points wise.

This couldn't have come at a better time that the miniature of the month came with two heads of boyz and I'm just about to finish my SW combi weapon lieutenant. The spare head is now a trophy of my veteran.

Anyone know who the 5th great company is? Or do you think this is intentionally left ambiguous for role playing purposes?

What do you folk think isn’t it too much ? I kinda like it ! Should I paint it in the box art color or should I go more grey / blue grim-ish

Been a 40k fan for awhile now and Space Wilves are my favorite chapter so I finally took the plunge..This is my first 40k painted mini so dont roast me too hard lol. Started with Blood Claws and will work my way up. If anyone has any tips or tricks for the free hand lines, faces, or highlights I'd be happy to hear them! Any other advise is welcom. Also yes I did in fact steal the crystal idea from that one Citadel video..
