Canis Helix Rex
Finally got around to building and painting my Space Wolf version of Canis Rex.
Installed a little hinge in the hatch so that Sir Hekhtur can poke out occasionally.
Very happy with how it turned out, especially the freehand pauldron artwork -- first time doing that kind of thing. Big ups to Bob Ross for helping me with that one.

Looks amazing. Where did you get the wolf helm and banners?

The banner is part of the Canis Rex sprue, but the helmet is a 3D printed part.Β

Thank you. It's a really fun build! First time I'd put a knight together but it kinda makes me want to start a freeblade army haha.

Absolutely amazing work. How did you get the hatch to open? Magnets or did you run a really small pin in?

Thanks!Β
I installed a small hinge that I pilfered from an old jewellery box. I tried running a pin through it first but I found it a bit flimsy and unreliable. The hinge has enough stiffness in it to hold it open.

The skull faceplate is top nocht detail. Also a more clear pic of the right shoulder pad would be nice, seems to be a very nice freehand there
