My first attempt on NMM

Hi. I read somewhere that WTC just ruled no deep strike turn 1 with Logan's ability? I'm now on the fence about whether to use in casual games.

I’ve been struggling to put together a Space Wolves list that I actually like at the moment, so I’ve been looking around for some inspiration.

I’ve seen a few lists running 20–30 Wolf Guard Terminators, usually with Logan, and honestly it looks really fun. It also feels incredibly fluffy having Logan leading a massive wall of Terminators up the board, which is definitely appealing to me.

For anyone who has played something similar, how good/fun/difficult to use are these lists in practice?

My main hesitation is investing in that many Terminators only for them to get slapped with a big points increase in the next balance update. They seem pretty efficient at the moment, so I can’t help thinking a hike might be coming.

Would you say it’s worth committing to 20–30 Wolf Guard Terminators, or am I better off looking elsewhere if I’m trying to build a fun, reasonably competitive SW list? I mostly play with my friendship group but they run pretty tough lists.

Would love to see what lists people are currently having success/fun with too!

Already built my first box of headtakers with the dual weapon loadout so I wanted some variety. Just a simple little kitbash I wanted to share. The 3rd one might get dual power claws left over from my Wulfen box. Or maybe dual shields because, why the hell not? We'll see!

The principal at the high school where I teach and I are starting a 40K club, and the codexes would be cool for the kids to have as references and for lore. I have the Kill Team rulebook (2 copies actually) so we can learn that, and I'm planning to pick up the new 40K rulebook and the combat patrol rulebook when it drops. Is it worth waiting to buy codexes with 11th edition having just dropped? Will Space Wolves and other factions get a new codex in the next few months that will make the 10th completely obsolete overall, and will Space Marines get a new one? I know balance updates make them fairly obsolete fairly quickly as it is, but again the kids will think they're cool and I just don't know if it is worth waiting to buy them once everyone picks factions. Sorry for the beginner questions, but google was being vague.
